Small but very nice and comfortable room. Beautiful surroundings. Absolutely excellent dinners and great breafast buffet. Restaurant staff didn't master the basics of the jobs. However their friendliness and good intentions made up for this lack.

Only stay one night. It’s nice to enjoy the spa.

Great rooms and great food in the restaurant

We had a weekend with "all in": lovely room, two great dinners (reviewed separately under "Åkerblads Gästgiveri") spa and "walk-abouts" in Tällberg. The hotel is spread out over several wooden buildings; some older and some new. All in the manner of a typical Dalecarlian farmyard. The style is folkloristic and Dalecarlian - well of course, it should be in a touristic environment like Tällberg. At the same time modern and well maintained. Charming rooms (we had a small suite) with comfortable beds, private jacuzzi and a terrace. All kept well and clean. The spa area with the pool is far too small to accomodate the many guests that are aiming for a swim or bubbles in the tub. Especially now during corona-times. However, it seems Åkerblads are planning to expand the spa facilities - which probably is the right move - corona or not. The restaurant (that is called "gästgiveri" in Swedish) interior follows the folkloristic theme and is quite large and spread over two main rooms. Sound level high when there are many guests - especially conference parties, which tend to be loud when released from daily duties.. Ordinary breakfast; ok but with nothing special or extra. All in all - a very nice and comfortable stay! Recommended!

I have been staying at Akerblads hotel for two nights out of three because it has been impossible for me and my kids to eat at the restaurant. After a long day spent at tomteland with my 1 and 3 years old sons, we arrived at the restaurant tired so we gently asked to the lovely maitre if it was possible to have a table away from everyone in order to not disturb since the kids were obviously overstimulated from a long day. Notice that I didn’t ask for the best table at the restaurant but just to be seated a little bit secluded in order to not disturb. Moreover I was only making a simple question which was promptly answered rudely, if she said no sorry all the tables are taken it wouldn’t have been a big deal for me and my kids!!! We would have enjoyed the dinner anyways. Anyhow She rudely answered that there was no table available and that I had to keep the kids quiet because the guests were disturbed… how funny since we have been out all day, and the night before we had a very fast 20 minute dinner. I find crazy that the guests of the restaurants when entering were explicitly requesting to keep MY kids quiet. Actually the one who should complain for the treatment received is me since everyone was very well treated while this woman welcomed me so badly, left me waiting for 10 minutes at the restaurant entrance with two toddler than seated next to the kitchen door with waiters passing by all the time ( imagine how fun when you have two toddlers). I was totally taken as joke and treated like a third class guests. Who does that in a respectable restaurant/ hotel? But above all is horrible how my kids have been treated by this woman in a Kid friendly country like Sweden, beside not getting any female support and compassion from a older woman to a young one with two small kids. The hotel is nice, a little bit worn out for my taste but apparently this is quite in vogue in Tällberg, but the attitude at the restaurant is outdated, snobbish and non the least chauvinist, which is shocking in a feminist country like Sweden. This woman was so rude to me and my kids that I left speechless refusing to dine. Plus I went to Akerblads in order to have a relaxing break with my kids and it turned out to be extremely stressful thank to this woman who ruined the first night dinner and left us fasting for the second night. Anyhow, since I was unable to eat, and I really didn’t want to go out at -10 degrees looking for a restaurant with two toddlers I went back home earlier than planned, and I wish to this maitre to learn to have some compassion for single mothers like me brave enough to travel alone with their kids. The horrible attitude of the hotel has been confirmed by a nonetheless careless snobbish management that didn’t even bother to make an apology call. This should never happen in a Hotel like Akerblads

Fantastic hotel and restaurant. Absolutely faultless. My friends only complaint was the lack of good looking men. But we were there for work and it really met all our needs. Room was clean and comfortable and the layout of the buildings was pleasing and intriguing

The location is great and staff very helpful! We enjoyed the spa and our dinner at the restaurant. Our major concern relates to the bedroom we got. Our beds and pillows were rock hard and our bathroom so tiny we chose to take our showers in the spa. Besides a bad nights sleep, we enjoyed our stay.

Hotellets spa och lokaler var mycket fina, långt över förväntant och precis så man önskar att ens boende i Dalarna ska vara. 10/10. Tyvärr dras hela upplevelsen ner av det bemötande man får, med betoning på dem som står i receptionen, vilekt är det första intrycket man får. Personalen i receptionen var högdragna och inte speciellt villiga till service. Tyvärr känns det som att hotellets ägare (min gissning att det var dem) var dem som gav ett högdraget och ovälkommnannde sättm inte dem som jobbade där. Tur att perosnalen vid frukostserveringen var mycket trevliga.

En fantastisk helg med mycket god mat och härligt spa i allt igenom en skön miljö.
