The staff at Le Meridian could not have been better or nicer! They were incredibly friendly and helpful….a big shout out to LaLithia at the front desk who was awesome and helped us upon check-in. The glass of complimentary sparkling wine upon check-in is a nice touch. The complimentary coffee in the lobby from 6 am until noon is also a nice and appreciated touch. Our room was very spacious and very clean. I am giving my review a 4 start vs 5 star because of the room decor and, quite frankly, the hotel (hallway decor) as well. Whoever was in charge of interior design should be fired! Our room was incredibly depressing because EVERY wall except the entry hall was painted a DARK gray. The carpet (new at least) was also a DARK gray. The bathroom was ….guess what….a DARK gray. Because the hotel is a converted old court house, the ceilings are high and made of cement so there is no recessed lighting (understandable). BUT, there wasn’t even a floor lamp in our room. It was SO DARK and DEPRESSING. Needless to say, we felt we were living in a CAVE. When you stay at an upscale hotel for a getaway or mini vacation, you expect to feel happy and uplifted. The decor did just the opposite. In addition, our room was lacking ANY seating area other than the bed and a desk chair (at bar height to match the bar height desk). It was CLEARLY MISSING a couple of comfortable occasional chairs. We called the front desk as soon as we walked into our room and requested a couple of chairs. They brought us 2 stacking chairs. I guess it was the best they could do under the circumstances but they certainly weren’t comfortable chairs that one would want to relax in. Also, the TV was very small given the size of the room and the distance from the bed to the TV. As for my reference to the hotel decor, and specifically the hallways, Marriott fell so far short in making this hotel what it COULD be given its unique history and architecture. When you walk down the hallways the bottom half of the walls have old marble (a nice touch and vestigial feature of the court house) BUT the top half of every wall is BARE. It is just COLD and lacks ANY sign of nice decor. Why wouldn’t they line these hallways with old, framed photos of court houses, court rooms, judges, etc???? Or old photos of Tampa? Or have a local artist paint murals on these walls? Ironically, the hotel gives its guests free passes to the Tampa Art Museum but whoever designed the interior space didn’t bother to include ANY artwork in the hallways. And the “artwork” in our room consisted of a few ugly, random cheaply framed posters. You might think that I am overly critical….after all, as I said, the staff was lovely and responsive and our room was spacious, quiet and clean. BUT, because our room was just so DARK and DREARY and DEPRESSING we wanted to minimize the time we spent at this hotel.

The coffee shop has the best café con leche of any place in Tampa, the Flor Fina restaurant has a wonderful menu that serves the best lunch and dinner in Tampa. And you cannot meet a friendlier and accommodating staff from the valet to the front desk to the waiters and waitresses and bartenders and even the people who clean your rooms!

We were able to keep our save room and there were no extra or hidden charges. They simply continued to deduct our resort fees from our original payment. This hotel rocked it! Hurricane Ian was heading our way so we made reservations as we are in Zone A and needed to evacuate. Large rooms, hot and great pressure showers, serving hot breakfast during hurricane, offered pumpkin pie and were super friendly and accommodating! Also our bed was very comfortable! Housekeeping kept checking to see if we needed towels and the front desk couldn’t have been more pleasant during stressful time! Thank you so much! Would definitely stay here again!

Keretapi itu menabrak tanduk jadi bersiaplah jika anda berencana untuk tinggal di sini, untuk mendengar kereta api. Kelemahan kedua ialah termostat di dalam bilik. Ya termostat. Kenapa? Yang ada di bilik kami secara harfiah menerangi seluruh ruangan. Terang seperti api biru. Saya pasti seperti kebanyakan orang dewasa suka tidur dalam kegelapan. Tidak, ini benar-benar bersinar terang sehingga anda dapat membaca buku dengan cahaya. Saya akan mengesyorkan meredupnya untuk pelanggan sebelum memasuki bilik. Then, we had some people racing their motorcycles nearby and calls to the front desk to report/request police help were met with disbelief since I couldn't tell them exactly where the motorcyles were - I did tell her to step outside and she'd hear it.... The hotel itself is charming, clean & nicely decorated, other staff were terrific so maybe this was just an ”off” night....

I was visiting for a quick business trip and was very impressed with the whole place. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, plus I was able to get an upgrade for free! The rooms looked like they were freshly renovated and the grounds were clean. Overall, this was a great place and the experience was fantastic. I’d recommend visiting. Next time I’m with the family, I plan on bringing them back here as well

We were in Sept,26 during Hurricane IAN and thanks to the management and all its staff we spent a night at the hotel with all the attention we needed, especially the care and attention of the manager, Brenda who was very friendly and attentive, her employees attentive and helpful. In all the time that I have lived in Tampa I had not been in that hotel but if I needed it or recommended it that is A + because of the situation of this emergency but because i felt at home and without counting the breakfast that in any case A, hotel i had expected to find ,wao that was amazing ,in other hotels where i pay more only give you an orange and coffee , lol in this i felt like in ihop and more ,i congradulate you and every time you need or have to recomend them this will be the hotel ,you will choose,thanks to all in special brenda the manager her very attentive and helpfulmanager a pleasure . , LUIS A.
