The location is superb. The view is amazing. The breakfast has various nice options. The place is more of family place. It looks like the place is quite popular among people travelling with kids. So its possible to hear kid crying late at night, not that it disturbed us. For noice sensitive travellers I recommend to avoid going to breakfast between 8:00-9:30. Its like trying to eat in a kindergarten. The noice gets easier after 10:00.

A reason for me to select this hotel had been its closeness to the bus station, where the Finnair bus from Helsinki airport arrives, but its location is generally a very positive aspect, since it is close to the shopping centres Koskikeskus and Ratina, but also to the main street Hämeenkatu. Many restaurants and sights are in walking distance. Good was also my room, a Standard Twin on the 8th floor with big windows and a great view. It had all I needed, especially also a writing desk, and it was very clean. One could ask for daily room service, otherwise it takes place on every third day. Check-in at reception was fast and very friendly. The lobby is large with several rooms to sit down, just the pop music there was a bit too loud for my taste. Also one will find here the Lynx bar ('ilves', the hotel's name, in Finnish means lynx). Further down is a spa with sauna and swimming-pool, open for men between 6 to 9pm, a time, which didn't suit me, so I never went there. Breakfast is served at the Amarillo restaurant on the ground floor and there is a big choice of items, also a good coffee from the machine.

PPengguna Tetamu我女兒非常喜歡家庭房給她配的小床，每晚都睡的特別好，那麼就5星好評吧。出門左手就是坦佩雷大學，右手有公園。早餐一般，晚餐在酒店吃過一次，覺得每道菜都咸。有個小小的健身房，工作人員都很友善，推薦入住。

Good location, right in the centre of the city. The room was large, with a sauna and a separate bath tub. Also, there are bath tubs, and there are bath tubs. They had proper, good looking, high end bath tubs! The bed was superior, as were the pillows too. Not the basic hotel sleep you get at Sokos and Scandic. The room wa salso beautifully and modernly designed from the floor to the roof. Just beatiful. The only negative thing about the room were the slippers. We really disliked those as they were basically unwearable as they felt like carton. Worst slippers I have ever come across. Breakfast was unique. They had tons of exotic foods that I have never seen at hotel brekafast before. What I was missing was some flavoured youghurt and a toaster and toast. But, cant really complain as there was so much more than at a standard hotel breakfast in Finland. The hotel does not have parking, but there are 2 public parking options super close, just across the road. It cost 23€/night. The staff was always super friendly!

Lliket2travelThis hotel did many things right: clean, comfortable, truly caring about the environment and a wonderful breakfast. My room faced the inner block and had a nice French balcony with both doors opening. The sheets and blackout curtains kept the daylight out during the Finnish summer. With the balcony closed, the room was virtually soundproof. The bathroom was delightfully designed. While the bathroom was seemingly clean, the shower wall grout was moldy. The bed and bedding was traditional Scandinavian and confortable. I only have two non-positive comments. The heat was set to 23C which is was too warm for me. I asked the front desk for help. I tried their suggestions without results. I slept hot and sweaty my entire trip. The floor seemed a bit gritty, but I am not sure why. Perfectly located near the centrum and the train station. Excellent value and very nice property.

Probably not the best Scandic in the city but to be fair they are all pretty much the same nowadays. This one doesn't offer free parking but there is a parking garage just next to it (with extra cost). The room itself was nice and clean, but for some reason there was a small window between the room and the bathroom - in daytime it gives a bit of sunlight to the bathroom, which is nice, but at night it can be a bit irritating if someone goes to the bathroom as the bathroom lights illuminate the whole room! Saunas offer a nice view over the city. In July at least one of the conference rooms was adjusted into a playroom which was great for kids! Pyynikki and the city centre are very close by. Breakfast was average. I would like to see a bigger selection of fruits, better quality juices and some kind of fish...

UUlla NurmenniemiI booked three nights for two persons with breakfast. Location is excellent and room is nice with sauna. BUT restaurant is closed, and NO BREAKFAST although paid for all the mornings. Hotel didn't arrange anything to eat in the morning. How bad service is that!! In addition it's spa hotel and swimming pool and saunas were closed. Quite a disappointment. On my opinion hotel staff should use a little imagination and innovative solutions to serve customers better. I guess they never heard about good service.
