A great place if you’re open to cooking some food yourself. Yes, the dinner options are basically non-existent, but that really doesn’t matter if you’re open minded and willing to do something yourself. My partner and I walked for 8 hours and were exhausted when we arrived, but we still decided to get some food from the shop across the road (very nearby!!) and cook. It ended up being a lovely way to end the day which also surprised us. We sat atop our container-home and looked to the mountains as we ate our food.
The room has everything you need other than knives and maybe more options for plates, but it’s doable. Everything is compact but that’s part of the charm, and it’s really quite incredible how they organise the entire room.
The only issues we encountered were the lack of knives (only one chef’s knife, no normal knives for spreading butter etc), and the plates, but no other issues.
The lack of staff to talk to face to face can be a bit of a shock to people, but it’s all about your own attitude to trying it out, as this isn’t a hotel where you can get anything you want just by asking. You can ask, but it’s all done via a couple of iPads. Just be prepared and keep an open mind. If you do that, this might be one of the most comfortable and personal stays you’ll have.

3泊しました。JR紀伊田辺駅から徒歩６〜7分ほどでした。ホテルは2023年8月ごろオープンで新しかったです。部屋の広さは十分でベッドも快適、アメニティーも特に不足は無しでした。あえて言うならば服をかける場所がもう少しあれば良かったと思います。ホテルのスタッフは感じの良い方が多くて居心地良かったです。お値段は時期によるかもですが、2人で宿泊時は一部屋一泊12,000円ほどでした。立地や快適さを考慮するとコスパの良くてお勧めできるホテルです。

Large room with a great view of sea, clean and cozy.
I was arriving late which passed the check-in hours due to flight delay. My sim card cannot make phone calls in Japan and I was afraid of not being able to check in. Fortunately, the front-desk gentleman was waited for us until midnight and helped us check in. And he guided us to find the vending machine to find the food even not speaking English. It’s a very positive experience to live here.

ハーベスト系列と言う事もあって、期待してチェックインしたのですが、その期待が大きく裏切られる宿泊となりました。 先ず、ホテルの建物に入るなり、少しカビ臭かったので、嫌な予感がしました。 チェックイン後、指定の階でエレベーターを降りると、その階もやはりカビ臭が。 室内も同様だったので、備え付けの除菌剤を床や椅子、ソファ一面にスプレーしまくり、何とかカビ臭を抑えることができました。 空気清浄機が備え付けられていないのもがっかりでした。 許せないのは、ベッドのシーツを捲ると女性の長い髪の毛が一本付いていた事です。念のためにバスタブの排水溝をチェックしたら、やはりそこにも髪の毛が残っていました。 浴室内のシャワーカーテンのフックも一つが破損してブラッと垂れ下がった状態でした。 築年数が古いので躯体や設備そのものは古さを感じても仕方ないのですが、古いからといって、掃除をいい加減にして良いと言う事にはなりません。 建物の古さを掃除やメンテナンスでカバーし、快適に過ごして貰おうというホテル側の気持ちが全く伝わってきません。 また最近のホテルでは、室内に宿泊客数分のミネラルウォーターが置かれている事が多いのですが、それすらありません。インスタントのコーヒーや紅茶備えつけられていない状態です。 冷蔵庫の上にフリーズドライのみかんのお菓子が二袋置いて有りましたが、旅館じゃないんだから・・。やっぱりコーヒーか紅茶の袋が欲しかった。 翌朝の朝食も、何の特徴もない味付けの食材が並んでいるだけで、品数も少なくがっかりでした。 ２名一泊（朝食付）で２万円の料金にしては、ちょっとお粗末で努力不足では無いかと感じました。 その前日は、串本の橋杭岩の近くで最近オープンした外資系ホテルに宿泊したのですが、ハーベストより数千円安く宿泊出来、且つとても快適でした。（そこのホテルは２回目の宿泊で、串本ではそこに泊まる事にしています） 現在ホテル業界は、戻りつつある宿泊客の取り込みに各社努力する様子が伺えます。 白浜のホテル業界も同様だと思いますが、当該ハーベストはアドベンチャーワールドへ来た客頼みで、自ら宿泊客を積極的に取り込もうという姿勢が感じられません。 自分としては、二回目の宿泊は絶対無いと思います。 上記マイナスポイントばかりですが、プラスポイントは、テラスから眺める海がとても綺麗でした。

ついでに立ち寄れる海辺の温泉宿を探した。 地図に♨️がなく、地下から汲み上げでもいい、温泉に泊まりたい！ ここ「天神温泉・田辺元湯」は動力揚湯する、掲示の成分分析表に湧出泉温31℃、pH7.2、ナトリウム・炭酸水素塩泉とのこと。 部屋は和洋・広狭や料理の種類、素泊まりや単身プランもある懐の深い宿であった。 全室オーシャンビュー、泊まった部屋はシングル。素泊まりとビジネスホテルみたいな気軽さ。 古い目良の漁港に団地が出来、元島が防波堤で繋がり、消波ブロックのすぐ向こうを水路のように渡船や漁船が通過するようになったらしい。これほど海の近いホテルは少なかろうか。 着いたときは雨模様であったが夜中に朧月となった。遥かに遠く紀伊水道を通過する大型船も写し込みたいとも思ったが、いつしか寝てしまった。 朝見ると元島の木々の葉が白くなっている。どうやらいろんな鳥の糞が降ったかららしい。そういえば窓から開けたら夜中にも鳴き声が聞こえたようだ。

地處田邊鄉下但是交通還算便利，這家是加入祕湯守護協會的會員，那口温泉水質非常贊。服務員都是當地老年人，可愛的婆婆晚餐拿着翻譯器來跟我對話。餐食説不上豪華，但是還是蠻傳統地道的日本本地家常菜

Really surprised by the two recent poor reviews of this place. Perhaps room type makes a difference? But, for us, this was an incredible experience in every way possible. We stayed in the room called ”Ichii”, a Deluxe Room with its own ensuite outdoor hot spring bath (there are large public baths here as well, indoor and out). The meals were phenomenal. The first night's meal was a full, multi-course kaiseki with the most delicious, locally-raised Mi-kumano beef shabu-shabu I have EVER eaten (melts in your mouth like butter!). Bedding was traditional, very plush and comfy, on-the-floor futons. Breakfast was also traditional and very hearty. The outdoor public bath was lovely. The service provided by the employees could not have been better. We paid ¥290,400 or about $1.916 for four people, two nights or about $240 per person per night, breakfasts and dinners included. We felt it was WELL worth the price.

For a westerner this is a bit of an odd place. Its quite easy to list its deficiencies- there is no bar, no place to sit in the Sun and , I’m afraid to say, we did not find the food vey palatable. Elsewhere in Japan we have steered for the small local restaurants with no English menu - we’ve loved the food but not here. The best you can say about breakfast is that you can construct a bacon butty but as for dinner … well we had pot noodles in our room most nights. A question of taste I guess. Why 5 stars then? Firstly the staff are marvelous- went the extra marathon never mind a mile , simply the best. Secondly our Japanese style room high up above the river was fabulous with awesome views of the river and oodles of space. Even loved the futons. The outside onsen is a great place to chill, if that is the word for a hot spring even if you have to wear an item of clothing which is a cross between a kilt and a loin cloth and does little to cover your modesty. A memorable experience

By Japanese standards, room size is large and I love the sliding window doors that can open the room completely to nature. Also very nice that even though this hotel has several onsens, the room still has a shower tub, and Western (not Japanese) toilet. Dinner is sumptuous and the best hotel dinner I had in Japan. Hotel receptionist spoke English so can be extra helpful, like putting me on the free hotel shuttle to the start of a Kumano Kodo hike high up in the mountains.

PPengguna Tetamu兵庫県から行きましたが、渋滞に巻き込まれて到着したのは18:30を過ぎていました。途中で、「遅くなりそうだ」と電話しましたが、宿まであと少しというところで3回、宿から電話がありました。山の中のくねくね道を走っていたし、後続車もいたので電話に出られず、宿に到着すると、駐車場がいっぱいで、崖の横の、トランクを開けると木の枝が当たるような場所に車を止めさせられました。 フロントに行くと、ムスッとした男性がいて、「いらっしゃいませ」とか「お疲れ様です」とは言わず、「何回も電話したんですけど」と言う。「途中で、渋滞に巻き込まれたので遅くなりそうだと電話しましたけど」と私。この宿、食事の最終が18:30らしく、それより遅くなると面倒なのか、しつこく18:30にこだわる。 フロントで、重い荷物を持ったまま、施設の説明を聞く。半年前にも宿泊しているので、省いてもらってもいいのにと思いながらあいまいに聞いて、鍵をとって部屋に行こうとすると、「お客さん、なんですかその態度は！」と先ほどのフロントの男性が追いかけてきた。「なんやその態度は」「なんやその態度は」と2回。この人頭おかしいのかと思った。 「どんな態度ですか？」と私。「人が説明しているの返事もせずに！」と、男性。この人この宿の社長で、○野という名前。 返事もせずにと言うが、食事の時間も、部屋のお掃除の有無もちゃんと言葉で答えてますけど。 「何回も電話したんですよ」と言うから、「知ってますけど、山の中のくねくねした道を運転して、後続車もいるのに出られません。それに遅れるかもしれないとちゃんと電話しています」と私。「迷っているのかもしれないと思って」と○野。 「半年前にも来ていますから、迷いません」と言うと、「そんなことは知りません。よく来てくれるお客さんのことは知っているけど」と。 半年の間に2回宿泊して、それも毎回2泊している私は、よく来るお客ではないのか？ 客の情報も管理していない自分の怠慢を恥じなさい。 渋滞に巻き込まれて5時間かけて到着しても、「いらっしゃいませ、お疲れ様」の一言もなく、崖の横に車を止めさせられて、思い荷物を持たされたまま、延々といらない説明を聞かされたら、気分も悪くなります。この人、サービス業なら、もっと客の身になって考えるべきです。食事の片付けが遅くなることばかり気にしていたのはわかりきったこと。自分のエゴを主張せずに、客の立場になって考えるのが、サービス業、接客業でしょう。なぜ客よりも上に立とうとするのか。 「あなた接客業失格ですね」と言うと、この○野という人、「あなた客失格ですね」とぬかした。呆気に取られて、思わず笑ってしまった。この人、聞くところによると、やはり苦情が多いそうで、特に女性や老人など、自分より弱い相手には、居丈高になるらしい。 チェックアウトの時も、私の姿を見ると、コソコソと隠れて、みっともない。 この人、接客業失格以前に、人間として失格ですね。 料理もお風呂も大したことないのにまた値上げするそうで、驚いています。 まあ二度と泊まりませんけど。

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed here for a night during a 3 day hike, and this hostel style hotel exceeded our expectation. The bento box for dinner was better than expected. The porridge in the morning was great, especially with the extra toppings provided with it. Even the coffee included was much appreciated. We had a private room, and it met all our needs. The onsens were great! 3 are there and never seemed to be busy…I recommend the outside one. Location is also ideal…only a 2 minute walk to the town Onsen. We usually like to stay in 3 star hotels or better seeing we are not hostel type people anymore, but we would stay here again, and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Questo è un ryokan antico dove ancora molte cose sono ferme al passato. Camera ampia composta da due ambienti con bagno in camera. Affaccio sul fiumiciattolo che scorre a fianco a casa. Cena ottima e abbondante servita in camera da una vecchia ma snodata signora in kimono antico. Bagni termali al chiuso e all’aperto piccoli ma puliti e accoglienti. This is one of the onsen hotels of the same group in Watarase onsen - used to be one of three, now it’s one of two since they closed the third one. Sasayuri is the nicer one and it’s a classic onsen hotel with large rooms and the usual public bath amenities. You have to call the hotel in advance to book the free shuttle pick up (15 min away) from Hongu Taisha mae bus stop which is convenient for those walking the Kumano Kodo and/touring the Hongu Taisha. Excellent service from reception staff to restaurant staff to driver. We organised luggage shuttle delivery (another company called Torii) and the hotel reception were great in making sure our bag was rightly labelled. They also helped us with getting small change for our bus fare. Food was good - not outstanding if I’m being picky as compared to other onsen hotels; but plentiful and delicious. The only area of improvement for dinner serving staff to serve up the dishes in a better order - eg let us finish the sashimi first before serving the hot dishes. The hotel has a public indoor bath. For outdoor onsen baths you can use the ones in the neighbouring (same chain) hotel which is a short 5 min walk via a connecting suspension footbridge. Rooms are very spacious, slightly dated but that’s the vibe of most onsen hotels in Japan anyway. Free coffee in the lobby. WiFi was good. Overall great location to stay for those doing the Kumano Kodo hike. I would give this a 3.5 out of 5, but TripAdvisor doesn’t allow half points.

PPengguna Tetamu温泉も料理も施設もよく、ゆったりとくつろげました。大阪の自宅から車で2時間半なので食事と温泉だけでもまた来ようと思いました。 【立地】龍神温泉自体が周りに何もない山間の静かな温泉地ですが、高野山側から来て一番手前にあり、宿やお店が集まっている温泉街からは少し離れています（車で数分）。 【施設】ひなびた温泉街のこじんまりとした宿ではなく、広く立派な建物で、ロビーや食堂も広々としていてゆったりとくつろげます。お土産屋さんも充実していて朝食でおいしかった鮎の一夜干しを買って帰りました。 【温泉】最大の魅力ポイントです。川のせせらぎと蜩の鳴き声を聞きながら入る露天風呂は最高でした。見た目と入った感じはサラッとしているのですが、手で自分の体を触ってみるとお湯が「ぬてっ」と肌にまとわりついている感じです。 【食事】夕食のバイキングはよくある大型ホテルのできあいのものを温めただけのようなものではなく、地元の食材を生かした手作りのもので大変おいしかったです。特に印象に残ったのは新鮮でワタまでおいしい鮎の塩焼きと、でっかい椎茸の天ぷらでした。プラス2,200円の熊野牛陶板焼き付きプランにしましたがこれがまた絶品で、2,200円の価値は十分あると思います。地酒（淡麗辛口の「熊野三山」をいただきました）も素晴らしく価格も良心的でした。 【接客】フロント・食堂などのスタッフの対応も、事前の電話対応も申し分ありませんでした。

CCamper804451大晦日に夫婦で宿泊しました。 ビジネスホテルっぽいと聞いていましたが、だいぶ古い感じです。 広めの部屋を予約したつもりですが、それでもスーツケースを置く場所を探すくらい狭いです。 お風呂は、2階の内湯を利用しましたが、とても良い温泉でした。カランは4つ(？)で、脱衣所も狭いのですが、温泉の質はとても良く、気持ちよく入浴できました。 食事は、隣のみどり湯でバイキングでした。 お正月料理をたくさん頂きました。おいしかったです。 温泉に入って寝るだけなら、お安いし、ここでもOKだな、と思いました。

湯煙が立ち上る湯ノ峰温泉にあり、姉妹店の「秘湯を守る会」会員旅館あづまやのお風呂も入ることができます(が、訪れた時はあづまや は定休で残念でした。)。元々ここのお湯は個人的には全国でベスト10に入る好きな泉質です。建物はかなりガタがきている感じなので気になる方もいるかもしれませんが静かでゆったりできました。料理も鹿肉の刺身とか珍しいものもあり美味しかったです。

CChenzhiyong是一家比較舊的旅館、從高野山下來順道住一晚、也沒什麼出彩地方、一泊兩食馬馬虎虎、吃完好像沒吃。這個價錢就這樣吧！可以理解
