Hotel dengan Bar di Taormina

My husband and I went for a late afternoon drink on the terrace of Bar Timeo overlooking Mt Etna and all the stunning surroundings. The staff and service were exceptional, especially our server Fabio. He was extremely friendly and hospitable and spoiled us completely. We left there saying it was one of the best things we did in Taormina.

Breathe taking view, great attention to cleanliness Bfast is very good very professional front office staff.. however the restaurant staff are not friendly at all.. perfect location. Near bas stop and a corner away from the walking streets.. if i had to visit taormina again ill definitely consider this hotel again!!

The hotel is in an amazing position with fabulous views across to Etna and the Bay of Naxos. It is also in a great position for the centre of Taormina. It would be fair to describe the hotel as the ”grande dame” of Taormina due to its age. While the very traditional decor is appealing, there are a couple of areas which could be improved. As mentioned elsewhere, the lack of sufficient power outlets in the rooms is a big issue nowadays. Also while the bathroom is very modern, the design is poor with water running onto the floor and also having to clamber around the bidet made showing a challenge. However, the cleanliness couldn't be faulted and daily cleaning was excellent, with very friendly housekeeping staff. There are a lot of stairs in the hotel and there only seems to be a lift in one part of the building, which means the less mobile will still have to negotiate some stairs. The breakfast room is very busy with a wide range of options available. The pastries were spectacular. A couple of the staff seemed a bit miserable, but otherwise everyone was pleasant, especially Angelo who was a bit of a comedian and always made us smile. The only real negative about breakfast is that most of the coffee comes out of a machine and is not the best. Unforgivable in Italy! Luckily I was able to ask for a properly made coffee. The pool area is lovely and very peaceful, taking advantage of great views. It is a hike to and from the pool due to the clifftop location and the need for steps. We tended to spend the whole day by the pool, so only had to use the steps when travelling there and back. The team down by the pool were also pleasant. In fact Angelo was often working at the pool bar and always made us welcome as did his colleague Marius. The food from the pool bar was good quality, if not a bit idiosyncratic. The same dish was rarely presented in the same way, which was amusing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.

. All the Bar staff and waiting staff here are super nice and very professional . The Buffet breakfast is fresh and delicious with plenty of choice and the hotel is very clean . The hotel shuttle is also a bonus as the 10-15 minute walk into Taormina is uphill and in the July heat not an option for us . Whilst the bedrooms have recently had a lick of fresh paint and a spruce up a significant proportion of them ( possible as much as a quarter ?) are at the back of this small and compact hotel with no balcony or terrace and certainly no sea or garden view . These standard rooms overlook the busy main road which is very close to the back of the hotel and noisy at night. We hadn’t realised this when we booked and we weren’t really expecting this from what is advertised as a 5* luxury hotel . The main restaurant was also disappointing and extremely overpriced for what it was (€40 + for pizza ??) We tried it three times but found much, much better 5* restaurants in Taormina itself . This place is great for a couple of nights but probably wouldn’t stay here much longer again . Other reviews have said the staff and service elevate this hotel and we would agree with that . Tho’ it would be a courtesy to all guests if room service trolleys full of half eaten food and used plates could be removed from the corridors at night time before other guests wake up . This is most definitely not a 5 * feature .

Just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. Located high up on Taormina with spectacular views. Hotel itself is quite ornate and opulent, in a dated way. Furniture and furnishings must have been very expensive at the time, lots of beautiful items, mirrors, pictures, bureau. The room we had, with balcony was lovely, view over the bay and Mount Etna was amazing. OK, there is a little peeling of paint and wallpaper here and there but this does not detract from the fact that this is a magnificent hotel. Location is good in view of a walk across the road to the lovely public park with its follies and fantastic ancient trees. Round the corner to the bus terminus and the cable car to the beach. Up the way to the quaint and delightful village of Taormina. Staff were lovely and accommodating, room cleaned every day and sheets changed almost every day. Breakfast was a little limited and basic. Same every day. The issue while we were there was the pool. It looked a little uninviting on arrival and as the week progressed the water became greener and greener! After a complaint the pool was emptied and a team brought in to scrub the green stuff off the sides and bottom of the pool. Then the filling up began but we left before it was actually available again. Recommend the cable car to Spiaggia beach. Best restaurant Il Baccanale with varied menu at reasonable price. Take a tour to Mount Etna obviously and the local bus to Castlemola, one of the highest and prettiest villages in Italy, allegedly. In all, a lovely week in Sicily at the Taormina Park Hotel.

A great location with good views of the bay. Just a short walk from the entrances to the old town and right above the bus station, which is really useful For local transport and also the airport. The hotel’s staff were brilliant. They could not do enough for us at the front desk and made all the difference. The breakfast has plenty to choose from and the dining room has great views. We sis not have dinner at the hotel, but the restaurant/ bar has a Happy Hour and was a great place for an early evening drink. The rooms are spacious, clean and we had a great view. It is worth paying a little extra for the balcony with a view.

We loved the location of the hotel. We stayed 4 days and used it as our home as we e plowed the area. We did a city tour, a day of sailing and wine tasting at Barone di Villa Grande. It was raining one day so did not take in Mt Etnea. I definitely have to give a shout out to the concierge Sarah. She is FANTASTIC. She provided a wealth of information and booked events. It was my husbands birthday and she arranged a great surprise for him. the hotel is beautiful and the staff are friendly; however, she made our experience over the top. We totally recommend staying at NH,
