Hotel berhampiran Mendolia Beach Club, Taormina

We enjoyed our stay as a group of 3 friends in a junior suit with balcony and sea view. We had a double bed and 2 singles, the bathroom area was a good size with double sinks, bath and a separate shower and toilet. We also had a walk in wardrobe and plenty of room in the bedroom for the 3 of us not to be on top of each other. The balcony was large and had plenty of furniture and an amazing view of the sea and along the coast and also to Etna. The pool area was very nice and the pool was clean. Again a fabulous view from the pool area. The breakfast had a good variety of cereals and pastries , donuts, cereals, cheese and meats and bacon and eggs and fruits etc even granita. The location is perfect only a minutes walk into town and about 5 mins to the main *****. So many restaurants and bars close walking distance. Yes there is a steep hill to navigate down to the hotel, this is why you get the amazing view, the fact it’s on the side of a cliff. Most taxi drivers seemed to be happy to go up and down the hill to drop right and pick up outside the hotel , all of ours did in any case. For mobile people the hill presents no problem. This isn’t a hotel for people with mobility problems, indeed Taormina town as a whole isn’t ideal for people with mobility problems . We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel . Yes there are a few little things that could be updated ( outdoor furniture for example ) but they in no way affected our enjoyment of this hotel.

Amazing views, we had this “room with a view” and we enjoyed watching the sea❤️ but some issues regarding cleaning and some missing items from the room. Cleaning was done superficial…especially in the bathroom..toilet was filfhy…shower cabin with mold.. lack of hangers..there is an open closet..so we just couldn’t hang our jackets…lack of kettle and slippers..breakfast was fine..opening hour was confusing…it was mentioned that it starts at 07:30 but at this 07:31 the breakfast area was full with ppl eating and shouting….and of course omelette was already finished..so we had to wait for another round..

The location of this hotel is simply perfect and the wonderful staff make the place really feel like a home from home! We originally booked this hotel for a one week stay but it was cancelled and we were tokd this was because the hotel was undergoing renovation when in reality the hotel had closed because of a mabagement issue so had reopened under new management by the time we had arrived in Taormina and were booked in elsewhere. As soon as we discovered it had reopened i went there and booked us in for 4 nights of pure luxury! We had a deluxe room with terrace and jacuzzi there are only 3 of these rooms they are spacious with a beautiful kingsize bed the terrace has chairs and loungers with a lovely jacuzzi and the weather was amazing. Big shout out to Amber on reception and Giuseppe by the pool they really made our stay special. When i return to Sicily this is the hotel i will be booking without question! Right on the Corsa Umberto with view from the infinity pool to die for great cocktails plentiful breakfast and lovely lunches overlooking Taormina bay exquisite!

I’ve got to say we were delightfully surprised by this hotel. We booked this place as it was nearby to where we booked our wedding. Travelling with my now husband and our nearly 2 year old. From the minute of walking through the doors we saw how truly nice and special this place was. We just booked a standard room, we were located on the ground floor and the room was a lot bigger than we expected. It was nice and peaceful even being so close to reception in room 112. It was clean, comfortable, well air conditioned. Was just what we needed. We had breakfast included in our price which was continental but had scrambled eggs, bacon, range of cheeses and meats including ricotta. Cereals, pasties and cakes all of the above was of a great standard. You could eat inside or out. The staff in the dining room are even better, gianluca, Gianfrano the waiters and the manager fabrizio. And a lovely lady with short dark hair was amazing with our son, They really made us feel welcome and special, they couldn’t do enough for us. So professional and friendly. We also spent an evening in the restaurant which the food was fantastic. Again great service here too! The beautiful garden and surroundings of the hotel are so picturesque. Nice big pool area including a kids pool. We also spent some time down by the beach bar which was relaxing and I have to mention how lovely the ladies down at the reception area of the beach/shop. Giulia and Maria, so lovely, friendly and helpful. The lobby bar was brilliant Adriano made us feel right at home, so friendly, welcoming and looked after our son if we needed milk warming up, no matter what time of day. The shuttle service from this hotel is fantastic, you pre book your shuttle up and down from Taormina. It’s free too! We loved Salvatore! He made us smile, he was lovely, helpful and genuine. We miss him already!! I have to say, the staff here are a real main reason we would want to come stay again. We live in Sheffield in England but my new husband is originally from Catania, we normally would stay with family but after this trip I know we will be back. Don’t waste any more money staying anywhere else, this hotel offers everything you want and need. Thank you for having us Hotel Caparena! See you again one day I’m sure! Fantastic B&B just few steps away from the most beautiful view on Sicily. Everything was clean when we arrived and the room was being cleaned every day after we left for our trips. The lady at the reception booked us a table with an amazing view at the restaurant she recommended and she was right - the food at Al Saraceno was fantastic. Breakfasts were delicious - sweet as well as salty. The coffee was very good and if you ask the lady who prepares the meals, she will make you fresh scrambled eggs. We had a great time there and if we visit Castelmola again, we will definitely choose the same place to stay. Only downside was that air confitioning was a bit loud.

Siamo stati al Laguna Beach, due giorni ad inizio giugno. Massima gentilezza e accoglienza. Un prezzo veramente interessante. L'appartamento delizioso. Personale gentile. Un posto veramente carino, sembra un Hotel ma con appartamenti dotati di tutti i confort. Disponibile anche sauna e idromassaggio in un percorso SPA di cui è dotata la stuttura.Per il periodo non abbiamo avuto problemi di parcheggio ed usufruito dello stabilimento con buona scontistica grazie alla Signora che si occupa dell'accoglienza. Offerta anche prima colazione. Vi ringrazio per come sono stato bene da Voi con la mia famiglia.

We found this hotel via Jet2 and thought it sounded nice. The hotel was stunning and we loved it (we are quite fussy) The lobby area is modern, the pool is beautiful and the breakfast setting and food is excellent. The pool food was ok (our children age 8 and 9 loved it) and the setting again is beautiful. We often went across the road to the restaurant Valentino's and bought pizza to eat at the pool or in the hotel garden. The pool does get busy so get a sun bed early (we had enough space every day). The sea is stunning and very easily accessible. The beach is pebbly but if you get shoes it's fine. Further down the beach is a lovely restaurant for lunch called Valentina (owned by Valentino's daughter). The rooms are dated but clean and spacious, the beds were very comfy and one large room was big enough for a family of 4. The location is great the beach, restaurants, shops and the boats are easy to walk to. Taormina is only 25 mins on the bus and it costs 2 euro pp. we did a fantastic boat trip to see the caves with Poseidon from Giardini Naxos and visited Taormina and Castelmola. Would go back tomorrow! Giving it 5 stars because it has everything you need for a lovely Italian holiday. For context our flight was cancelled and we were moved to another hotel free of charge (inc all food and drink for our last night). We checked in looked around decided the Marriott was far nicer and returned immediately (at our own expense). It was worth it!
