This was a trip to treat myself to a belated Leap Year birthday, and it was perfect in every way. I loved how attentive the staff were, the gorgeous room and warm welcome, and the lovely grounds. I felt special and looked after, and I loved walking the grounds which were immaculately kept. What a special place.

Had the most wonderful stay at Cliveden. Visited alone for a bit of rest and relaxation - as I’m a busy mum of four! The whole team were so welcoming. From the moment you hand your car keys over to the valet until you depart you are treated with respect and smiles. The actual House is full of beautiful portraits and hidden corners with antiques dotted around. I visited the spa daily and had a wonderful massage from Imogen. I very much enjoyed sitting in the hot tubs outside with the wind howling at the same time! The front desk staff were helpful and showed me on a map how to take a 2 hour invigorating walk around the Estate. I stayed at the Chinese room, which was definitely different to my usual style hotel rooms. Lots of small touches in the room showed someone had made the effort to think what someone may require for the duration of their stay. I look forward to returning!!

What an excellent venue for a meeting! My experience at the Cliveden House was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My reception was well managed, from check-in through my suitcase being delivered ahead of me to the room. My room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The tablet in the room available to review the information on the resort's amenities and grounds was appreciated, as I was also able to read a number of periodicals offered. The meeting facilities were excellent, providing strong WIFI connectivity, as well as beverages and snacks. The young man on staff that managed our meeting, and was also a server at our private dinner Wednesday night, was very attentive and did an extraordinary job. I apologize that I can't recall his name, but he is an asset to the staff at Cliveden House. Finally, I found the food to be delicious and well presented. One of my colleagues was displeased with a white wine selection being served, and the staff quickly addressed the situation by replacing it. Yet another great example of the Cliveden House staff moving quickly to ensure our experience there was good. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Cliveden House, and I would recommend it to anyone planning a meeting, looking for a relaxing getaway or hosting a special event.

This hotel is simply amazing. The outside area is huge and beautifully looked after. I think you can spend a whole day just wandering around the grounds ,just enjoy the vibrant colours of the nature. We were blessed with a warm sunny day and made the most of it. When you step into the main building there's no difference at all. Beautiful interior, preserved and cared for. Feels like a time travel. Classy, elegant and picturesque. We had a real English afternoon tea booked by my friend and she made no mistake. Coming from a very different culture it was a very interesting experience. Starting with tiny sandwiches and little savoury bites , then moving to sweet and wonderfully crafted cakes. It was a multilayered stand with full of little "almost French style" miniature bites. Very, very elegant. Special mention to our waiter Sandon , who looked after us , like we were the part of a royal family. He made us feel very special. This was my very 1st afternoon tea and I'm glad I had the pleasure to experience it at Cliveden, the very best hotel I've seen in the beautiful English countryside.

We stayed in the National trust cottages by the Thames and enjoyed the grounds enormously. We ate in the Astor Grill and were bemused by the experience. Sure, the grounds and the hotel are lovely and deserve many plaudits, but the Astor Grill was unexceptional. The waiting staff were both polite and friendly, but the food was no better than good "pub grub". One expects to pay a premium in this location, but the balance between a fair price and a rip off was markedly in favour of the house. A Campari and Soda clocked in at £17:50 for the Campari and the soda water was £5.50 - it didn't even have a slice of orange. The Arancini & Calamari arrived in short order - so short in fact that one wonders whether or not the food was freshly prepared. The main courses were ok, but the cod was dry and overcooked and although I enjoyed the Beetroot Ravioli, it was as if the dishes were being heated up prior to service, as opposed to being freshly prepared. There was nothing there to delight the senses, and the 12.5% service charge could have been added to by a discretionary 2.5% for the National trust. We decided against dessert, coffee, and stickies and paid the £182.70 bill with a rueful smile. Cliveden might be a great place with fab grounds, but the Astor Grill really isn't worth it, imho.

Stayed for 2 nights in the Prince Albert room. Room was spacious and well equipped with views of the pool. Beautiful period features, slept very well. Grounds are beautiful, we were lucky with great weather so we could use the outdoor pool. Breakfast was excellent and a great experience in the Cliveden room. We had dinner in both restaurants, excellent service and food. Did not have time to use the spa, will have to do that next time. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next stay

Cliveden House is an amazing hotel and also has incredible grounds. The service is impeccable in all areas of the hotel. The food was excellent and service great. The bedrooms are excellent with beautiful views. See the photos. Book in advance!

The booking process was easy and complimented by an email welcoming us and asking for more information about our stay. It also provided lots of details about the grounds and the spa. Arrival is dramatic as you drive up the long gravel drive you get the feeling of the history of the place. George met us straight away and took our baggage to the suite we were welcomed with a glass of champagne as it was a special occasion. The food in the main restaurant was excellent and the cocktails in the residents bar were exquisite. Spa was great for both an indoor and outdoor swim. Room was large and peaceful with great views. It was on my wife’s wish list to visit this hotel and I am sure we will be back.
