Hotel berhampiran HAPPY POULTRY FARM, Tarn Taran

Staff was bit rude but the other things like cleanliness and the hall was too good to be perfect. Loved the stay and had my privacy all *****.

The hotel is in a inner lane from road to gurudwara baba deep Singh ji and is few minutes away from chhatiwind gate. The hotel has no lift and has narrow swirling stairs, so it is cumbersome to take luggage. A lady was in the reception and she was the only person available that moment. So wallet is not available all the time. Our was the independent room with attached toilet. The room is only slightly bigger than the restroom. For family, the moving space is less. The bed as such is cozy. We did not opt for any meals in the hotel but few choices are available for breakfast. The golden temple as advertised by them is not hands away or 100 steps away from the hotel. It takes minimum 10 minutes or more to reach golden temple by foot. Also battery car is available nearby. Final rating would be Room 4/10; Location w.r.t Golden temple as advertised 3/10. Nearby market 7/10. It is better to book dormitory as room space is more than individual rooms.

We had done advance booking and made the full payment ,after reading the reviews of this hotel. I had booked another hotel initially but the reviews of this hotel Karan residency was better comparatively so cancelled the previous hotel booking, but I experience of the hotel was nightmarish, become of one Mr Gurpreet Singh, who gave us a horrible experience ever. From the time we reached hotel,he was outrightly rude and discourteous . The language was so dis respectful that I regretted cancelling my previous hotel booking. I think the reviews are either fake or paid reviews jus to fool people.. One of the experience was so bad that I am wondering how are they running hospitality industry !!! On Sunday night, I ordered for dinner ,room service at 10 pm, the food didn't arrive till 10:45 pm. When I called at the reception, to enquire, thos same Mr Gurpreet says that ”I assumed that you people would have slept so I did not send it upstairs”!!! I said,why would we go to off to sleep when we have ordered the food ? He said , when I called on the room,there was no response. I said there was no call made , he said that I jus assumed that I would have gone to sleep. By the time the food was delivered, it had turn out to b totally cold. There were many such experiences about his language,attitude and service!!!! In my opinion , this Mr Gurpreet needs some serious hospitality lessons to deal with his guests. I would not recommend this hotel unless the attitude improves and maintaining the respect of your guests is learnt. The rooms are jus OKAY !!! The hotel doesn't have their own restaurant. If you need hot water for drinking in kettle, since it was very very cold there ,they did not provide it. Please don't expect anything from this hotel. Only the cleaning staff,who are all ladies, did a good job in cleaning the room .

This hotel was fantastic. Location amazing for thr golden temple. They have a car service to go to the border too. Breakfast was great.. lots of variety! Would definitely recommend.

The good news: the rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was fine. The bad news: there were two large parties at the hotel the night of my stay, including live music right above my room. There are also a lot of strange mechanical noises. It was impossible to sleep. The hotel promises a roof deck, but there are no chairs. It’s in a weird location with nothing nearby. I left after one night of a planned two night stay - it took nearly an hour of back and forth to get a refund for the second night (I eventually did). It might be a good place for a wedding, but not recommended for a foreign tourist.
