Konnte hier leider nicht übernachten, da das Hotel aus Kulanz nicht den Termin ändern ließ. Die Buchungsseite Trip.com hätte es erlaubt, wenn das Hotel zugestimmt hätte. 100 Euro zum Fenster rausgeschmissen!

A very central hotel, it's located just 2 minutes away from Balcó del Mediterrani, 10 minutes away from the Roman Amphitheatre and 15 minutes away from the Cathedral. The rooms are spacious, modern, quiet, well-equipped, very clean and have balconies. The en-suite bathrooms are very clean too. The hotel offers a good breakfast-buffet with a couple of hot options, plus tortilla de patatas (there's a microwave to heat it up). The dining room is just beside the nice swimming pool, which is open from May to October. I would be glad to stay here again.

Awful place. Stayed here on May 18th 2024 on the last night of a road trip after staying in several beautiful, clean and welcoming hotels in cities in the south. The hotel receptionist was not helpful at all regarding parking (which is allegedly on-site but was full) and was generally cold and unwelcoming. To top it off despite booking a room for two and clearly being a couple, she placed us in a room with two separate single beds. The room itself was shabby and dusty, and had no facilities. Tiny bottles of soap in the bathroom were the only things provided. The window (which was difficult to open and nearly caused an injury) faced a wall, and the air conditioning was barely functional. The only good point about the whole experience was that our small dogs were allowed and there was no surcharge. However it might have been preferable to bring a kennel and sleep with them on the street. Tips (if forced to stay here) 1: Don’t rely on parking at the hotel. There is a large parking garage on the same street. However the elevator down was broken. 2. If you are over 160 cm tall I would spread towels all over the bathroom prior to taking a shower since the water will flood the bathroom otherwise. 3. There are steps in the hotel reception area leading to the elevators and other areas which would make disabled access difficult and certainly don’t help people with large cases. 4. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

We arrived at Hotel Lauria at 9.30 am some 4.5 hours before check-in however on checking the very helpful receptionist informed us that are room was ready and gave us our room keys straightaway. The hotel is situated on Rambla Nova a 30 second walk from Mediterranean Balcony and very close to a wide range of restaurants, bars & shops. The Roman Amphitheatre and other Roman remains are within short walking distance. The bus station is an approximately 20 minute walk away with regular buses to Salou, Reus, Cambrils. The train station about 10 -15 minute walk with trains to many destinations inclusing Barcelona. Hotel very clean, spacious room with an ensuite and small balcony facing the hotel pool. Light Breakfast €4.50 or Full Breakfast €12.50 available in the dining room on the day if not bought with hotel booking. Also vending machines available 24/7 near to the front entrance. The hotel has a bar area serving a range of drinks including bottled Estrella lager €2 per bottle. Either for exploring Tarragona or travelling to other places in Catalonia/Costa Dorada the Hotel Lauria is perfect.

I have rated the Hotel on the basis it being a 3 star so that is the quality / service I expect. The Hotel is in a good location on the main Rambla street in the city. Easy access for shops and attractions as well as the beach (though it is by steps). The hotel and rooms are clean and service very good. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. You won't get checked in early however as they take quite a while to turn round rooms though you can leave your bags with the front desk and explore. The Hotel offers breakfast for about 11 euros. No other meals are available. The pool is small and does not get much sun due to the high walls. One small negative is some of the quality is missing. The bathroom shower door didn't fit and flooded the floor at times. Floor and door dirty and need of some tic (see photo).

Do not be fooled by the entrance, this hotel is a dump. Blood stains on wall and head board, badly marked wooden floor, bathroom door falling apart, smell of drains in the hall way, balcony in urgent need of repair, shower floods bath room. The receptionist was very offish, unhelpful Terrible hotel avoid

This hotel is in a good location for city centre, old city and the beach. Rooms were clean and staff were helpful. Breakfast had a good choice including vegan options and soya milk. The rooms were clean with balconies however the only mirror in any of our rooms was in the bathroom. It would be good to have a more accessible mirror. The bathrooms were immaculate although the shower floor was smooth and potentially slippy. The pool was lovely and a fabulous sun trap with sun beds too. We were told to beware of pickpockets in the city centre. Tuesdays and Thursdays have a huge market which is interesting to see.

Great Location on the Rambla Nova. Walking distance to all the main sights. Basic Hotel with simple rooms, partly renovated. Some nice touches like balcony and pool. Bathroom is new but bedroom must be 14-20 years old. Good breakfast. They take dogs

A year later, and I'm back for about ten days, and everything I wrote in my review a year ago remains true. I'm very fond of Tarragona, but much of my affection is because of the Lauria. I have stayed in the hotel section twice and the apartments section four or five times in the past several years, and still I marvel at the combination of location, value, quality of accommodations, and most of the all the staff: from management to reception to housekeeping to "breakfast supervisors," these folks do a really great job, courteously, professionally. (I am baffled by the couple of reviewers who felt otherwise, and encourage TA readers to look at the pattern of reviews rather than the outliers. Love it, again, still.
