Grand Zamin

I picked this hotel as it was close to the railway station which was about 10 minutes drive away as we needed to depart to Samarkand the next morning. We only stayed for a night, checked out the hotel early in the morning. Breakfast was adequate, enough for us.

Good value of money, however, no too responsive for services, and always lack of a reception, the room is good and clean anyway.

It was just okay. the bed are hard, the air conditioner is not cold. There’s a damp smell on the bed. The soundproofing is bad and the towel smells. Only stayed for a night so yea

I made a one-week reservation with a queen bed on the 2nd or 3rd floor clearly stated in my booking. However, on my first day, I was placed in a low-quality ground-floor room that felt like a staff room, with two single beds pushed together. The room was clearly below what I had paid for. I only realized this after checking my reservation on the second day and informed the staff. They told me all rooms were full and said maybe it could be changed the next day. I was only able to move to the correct room on the third day after reminding them again. I used the laundry service once. I paid almost eight times more than I normally pay, and my clothes were returned in something like a black trash bag, without any care, organization, or ironing. For that price, this level of service is completely unacceptable. Breakfast was one of the worst parts of my stay. On my first day, I went around 08:40 and everything was fine. The next day, I went around 09:40 and almost everything was already finished. There was no proper egg, no sausage, no cheese, no bread, and several other items were missing. I waited and asked the staff to refill, but they only said everything was finished and did nothing. The following day, I went even earlier, around 09:20–09:25, and again basic items like bread, cheese, sausage, and tomatoes were already gone. When I told the staff, they just said everything was finished and that they could not refill anything. I specifically insisted on the bread and asked how I was supposed to have breakfast without it. Even the bread was not replaced. At that point, I went to reception and reported the situation. They told me to wait. After waiting and coming back, only the bread had been refilled. Nothing else. I asked if this was all, and the response I got was basically “what do you want?” I made it clear that I should not have to ask for basic breakfast items at 09:20. Overall, the service is careless and terrible. The level of service is very poor. Do not stay here under any circumstances.

Choosing this hotel was a great stroke of luck. The design, amenities, location, wonderful breakfast, and excellent staff were all outstanding. In the evening, we enjoyed the sauna and a massage. It was magnificent. We dream of coming back here again.

The room was good and clean. I was surprised at how high quality the bathroom was! The breakfast wasn't bad either and the wifi worked flawlessly:)

The heater seemed broken. It was very cold all throughout my stay and the doorknob was broken.
