Hotel LIVVO Lago Taurito & Aquapark

We stayed as a family of three in February half term. We expected the hotel to be a little dated and are used to all inclusive resorts, but this did not love up to expectations. Positives... - Close to Taurito beach which is beautiful and has some nice beachfront bars. - Water Park. - Clean, tidy room. Negatives... - The water park is not heated and so everyone uses the small hotel pool which has no free sunbeds by 8.30 a.m. - A lot on the all inclusive resort costs extra...bowling, hire of the football pitch etc - The food. It is very low quality. Breakfast is fine, but we have found ourselves eating lunch and dinner elsewhere so as to enjoy our meals. Also, there is no queue system and tables are often totally full at peak times. Through no fault of the hotel, please do note that you can not get to Peurto Mogan without going via Peurto Rico due to a landslide several years ago.

To be honest, I came to this hotel with quite low expectations because some of the reviews on TripAdvisor were so poor. We just needed a reasonably priced package for some winter sun, which was difficult during the Feb school holidays. However, from our arrival to departure, everything about the hotel, including service and food exceeded my expectations. Sure, some of the decor is a little dated (I'm sure textured wall paper will make a come back someday!) but everything is incredibly clean and well maintained by a very hardworking team of housekeeping and maintenence staff. The balcony is the the size of my living room with beautiful views of the sea. Every morning you can see a man scrubbing and power-washing thr cots, so anyone bringing a little one should be a reassured! The facilities were great: the hotel pool was cold but freshwater and very clean. There were snacks and drinks available until 5pm at the pool bar. A beautiful and clean little beach is two minutes down the path and there is a lot on the resort to keep everyone entertained (arcade, mini golf, tennis, basketball court) including a great waterpark (sea water). Across the road in the KrabiSpa you can spend a blissful couple of hours in an adults only spa and sauna, get a massage and use the small but decently equipped gym. On top of this there were two mini and maxi club sessions per day The animacíon team were energetic and friendly. The food was varied and fresh with different offerings every day and night. Bonus tip, there are two huge industrial LG washing machines on 9th floor. Buy a token for 4.50EUR from reception to use it There is a detergent vending machine it's 1EUR. Drying racks on every balcony. Obviously, it's not a five star hotel, but it is clean and pleasant; you can pay to stay in a 4 star hotel across the road if you really want, but overall, it's excellent value for money and my whole family had a wonderful time here. Thank you to all of the hardworking staff who keep this place running. We would definitely return.

We stayed in this hotel in June 2024. The rooms are a bit older, but clean. The food was very good and the water park opposite the hotel was really fantastic. It was a wonderful vacation, especially for our 6-year-old daughter. This resort is like a paradise for children.

Honest review, this is not a 5* luxury hotel so don’t go looking for faults. It’s clean, it’s tidy, the staff are friendly and polite. The hotel is vast, so yes the pool is on the small side but it’s warm enough to be in During January, and there’s plenty of sun beds and space, and if not there’s the water park outside (the water was freezing but it’s January off the North Atlantic coast). The restaurant has a canteen feel and if you’re fussy you won’t find what you want but there’s no shortage of food and staff replenishing and cleaning, and the pool bar snacks are perfect. Without doubt the jewel in the crown is the setting and evening entertainment at the Plaza Arena, and accompanying entertainment area. Arcades, trampolines, go karts, bowling, soft play area, and shops (all charged) but the entertainment is free, and drinks included in AI package! The entertainment team are incredible and cater perfectly for the UK, Spanish and Scandinavian guests. If you’ve read reviews and are sitting on the fence, get off it, try for yourself and book. We will no doubt return!!!!

Don't listen to the negative reviews the hotel is great for a three star. The rooms are cleaned every day. We enjoyed the food plenty of choices. The staff were very helpful i would recommend to family and friends if visiting Taurito on a budget.

Bit of a long review from me we were here from 17th to the 27th of December with our son who is 8. Family room was alot bigger then rooms we have stayed in before, really big balcony with clothes airer which did us a favour with us using the pool or water park every day. Two single beds pushed together in the bedroom which wasn't too bad and a fold out double sofa bed in the living room which I preferred over the beds in the bedroom 🙈 only negative for me for the room was the pillows were wafer thin and you got 1 each and there was no plates or cutlery in the room. Food in the hotel i found good. Bit of something for everyone grilled meat which varied every day different pasta dishes I really enjoyed the different stews they did, pizza counter with 3 choices of pizza and garlic bread. Desserts were good as well varied cakes mouses and jellies. The Xmas day spread was really good. Drinks in the dining room were pour yourself you had red, white or rose wise, amstel lager or soft drinks (also had a hot drinks machine) only negative was if you wanted a beer it was a tiny cup unless you were lucky enough to get a amstel half pint cup, the pool was good and was heated in the morning which was a bonus however the sun loungers go very quick so need to get towels down early. The waterpark was great. Plenty of sun loungers to use if the ones in the hotel are full and the sides were good. Negatives for the waterpark is the water is freezing best to jump and get it over with to get used to the water lol. Also with the water being salty my son has eczema and the water was a bit harsh on his skin. Entertainment wasn't the best and finished at 10 so we only bothered with that 2 nights. Literal 1 minute walk to the beach where they have some shops bars and restaurants. The sunset taurito was brilliant and the staff were very friendly and welcoming (definitely not shy with the measures if you like your jack Daniels haha) there is a booth outside the hotel where you can book excursions and the who ladies who work there are brilliant very helpful and informative even if it was just about restaurants to try etc. We booked the dolphin and mogan market trip and the wild west trip both were great. If you wanted to venture out the number 9 bus was only 1.40 each to puerto rico and only took 10 mins on the bus where there is lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Also had angry birds land which we did for our sons birthday which he really enjoyed. All in all a really good holiday in which we are looking to book again for Xmas and new year 2026 😎😎😎
