Hotel berhampiran Seeblick Kaltenbrunn, Tegernsee

Wir waren drei Tage dort. Am ersten Tag war insbesondere der Service in der Gastronomie eher holprig. Es waren allerdings auch zwei Hochzeitsfeiern dort, die vermutlich einen Großteil des Personals benötigten. Am zweiten und dritten Tag war der Service deutlich besser aber erreichte noch nicht das Niveau der Vor-Corona Zeit. Ansonsten war es wie immer sehr schön dort, die Zimmer sehr gepflegt und auch sehr sauber. Die Lage ist natürlich einzigartig. Das Frühstück ist sehr umfangreich und ausgezeichnet. Auch das Angebot der anderen Restaurants im Hotel entspricht dem Niveau des Hotels. Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden.

We came on the recommendation of a German friend, and we were surprised and delighted with this ”hidden” hotel in the Bavarian countryside. It is both sophisticated and family friendly. We were in from California with a 7 and 9 year old boys, and they loved the area set aside for children. Specially the trampolines. ! We went biking and everyone enjoyed the cold plunge and sauna. Also the pools! The staff, the food and the rooms and grounds are just glorious.

Maybe it's not quite fair on all the other fantastic Karma properties but we reckon that this beautiful venue is now our favourite (since we started to be a lot more circumspect about air-travel [cost and eco-damage]). So yes, we trained it from SW England via Eurostar to Paris, thence to Munich with ICE and on to Schliersee via BRB. Every connection was perfect (makes a change, true). Highly recommended. So, reasons for loving this place? Admittedly, we arrived in the midst of last month's awful european weather BUT the sun came out the day after our arrival, the temperature leapt up 15* and we were able to enjoy the best of Schliersee and environs - and there is just SO much you can do, especially if you like walking in exquisite surroundings, around the lake itself, up into the mountains, hire an electric bike over to Tegernsee or up to Spitzingsee - or take the BRB back to Munich (in our case, it was Oktoberfest!) for all that amazing city has to offer. All the apartments are furnished to the usual Karma standards - ours was just perfect. The staff were fantastic (we were celebrating our 55th anniversary and they really spoilt us!). It is said that the inclusive breakfast is the best - we can vouch for that - delicious. The gauntlet is down. And by the way, as per the 'title', we're going back next February for the skiing - can't wait.

Das Hotel ist an sich sehr schön, hat Zimmer mit süßen Balkonen und Blumen und einen sehr gemütlichen Biergarten. Jedoch ist die Einrichtung in den Zimmern sehr veraltet teilweise. Das Hotel wirkt nobel und schick, jedoch finden sich veraltete Gegenstände wie ein billiger Radiowecker im Zimmer oder ein viel zu kleiner und verkalkter Duschkopf im Bad. Da wurde am falschen Ende gespart. Die Sauna erreicht man, indem man durch ein öffentliches Gym geht und auch dort den Schlüssel für die Sauna abholen muss als Hotelgast, da kann man schon länger warten, bis mal jemand an der Rezeption ist. Die Bademäntel im Zimmer hatten verschiedene Größen, einer war offenbar für ein Kind gedacht (endete über den Knien). Wir ließen diesen austauschen und bekamen dasselbe Modell noch einmal. Hier herrscht etwas Chaos wie es scheint. Das war etwas nervig und kostete Zeit, bis wir endlich in die Sauna gehen konnten. Leider kümmert man sich auch offenbar kaum um die Sauna. Teewasser war alle, billiger CD-Player in der Ecke für die ”entspannte Musik”, der aber geleiert hat und im Ruhebereich keine Ruhe sondern Krach durch eine Trockenmaschine oder so ähnlich. Saunen alle gleichermaßen zu heiß (Temperaturangaben außen stimmen nicht). Wir hatten Abendessen im Biergarten. Der Koch ist kreativ und gibt sich viel Mühe, jedoch kleine Portionen, die etwas überteuert sind. Dafür gibt es zu den teuren kleinen Portionen aber auch nur billige Wegwerfservietten für die Gäste. Das passt dann nicht gerade zu der ”gehobenen Küche”. Frühstücksbuffet dafür sehr reichhaltig, auch wenn nicht nachgefüllt wurde. Eierspeisen waren bereits kalt obwohl unter Wärme gelagert und es wurde nichts Frisches nachgefüllt. Dafür ist das restliche Angebot sehr gut. Wir bekamen später am Abend noch Hunger auf etwas Süßes und sahen, dass das Restaurant noch offen war. Sie wiesen uns jedoch ab, da die Küche bereits geschlossen hatte offiziell, es waren aber noch Gäste da. Wozu muss man die Küche anheizen, wenn wir einfach nur zwei Stücke Schokokuchen aus der Kühlung haben wollten? Leider bekommt man sonst nichts weiter hier, wenn man abends noch Hunger bekommt, schade. dann halt hungrig ins Bett. Nachts war im Hof vor den Schlafzimmerfenstern mächtig Krach, weil offenbar betrunkene Gäste den Raucherbereich länger frequentierten. Ich musste selbst darum bitten, doch bitte leiser zu sein. Also, das Gesamtkonzept ist irgendwie nicht stimmig und gerade für den Preis beim Dinner darf man doch Stoffservietten den Gästen anbieten. Und bei dem Zimmerpreis, darf der Service schon etwas professioneller und Gäste-orientierter sein. Ein Snack am späten Abend, den man nur aus der Kühlung holen muss, sollte doch wohl kein Problem sein. Schade, das sind nämlich die Kleinigkeiten, die den Unterschied machen. Personal, das mitdenkt und etwas serviceorientierter ist würde hier einen Stern ausmachen.

The hotel room was great. Fantastic view and wonderful staff. The beds are comfy and the bathroom has heated floors. The breakfast is very typical German food which is exactly what I wanted to experience. I recommend making dinner reservations at this hotel if you decide to dine there. Just a side note. The spa was closed Sunday and Monday. So if you’d like to book a massage I recommend doing it ahead of time. Otherwise the pool area and the saunas were great. Going back to the staff, ash-vannah ( the wonderful receptionist) was so informative and so welcoming. I recommend talking to her for tips and advice on the area. I recommend visiting the Slyrs distillery. Take the tour and taste some of the best whiskey in the area.

We recently just ended our stay in Bad Aibling for 4 days and Das Lindner is amazing!!! The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay incredible. Definitely recommend the suites as they are spacious, beds are beyond comfortable and rooms are very clean with great working amenities. The restaurant and breakfast are also first class and Lucas goes above and beyond in making your stay amazing.
