Beautiful facility, all staff was very pleasant. Andrew the tram driver was very friendly to us and helpful, always waving and smiling at us an others. Loved the dining choices. All food fabulous.

The resort was all that we expected and more! Staff is very friendly and treats guests in the most welcoming way. At all times, they are fastidious about service and helping you enjoy the experience and take in the marvelous scenery. The hotel is located in a semi-remote area, with only a few restaurants near by, nevertheless you will not want to leave the resort as it is so beautiful and has enough choices for dining on the property. As expected, prices are high but I felt the experience was worth. On our last day there were may children and families which made it a bit loud at the pool, but there is an adult pool option that was much quieter. I highly recommend it and will look for more Auberge Resorts in the future!

First off the grounds are terrific and the people are very friendly. Unfortunately we did have problems during the first half of our stay with service times or lack of service. Our room was a suite with a golf course/ocean view. A few examples: Turndown service for the room (and to setup the sofa sleeper) did not come on several days. A ride from the airport that was scheduled did not show up so we were forced to Uber after waiting. Wipe off and wipe down towels in the fitness center were not replenished on several days. Meals at the Beach Tree were painfully slow (over an hour to get our lunch after ordering) and food arrived cold at breakfast and lunch. These problems while prevalent the first 3 days of our stay did improve greatly after that. We were surprised that a resort of this quality would seemly have a streak of bad service days in a row. My guess is that the resort was short staffed during the first 3 days of our stay (due to spring break and Easter) resulting in the various challenges we encountered. We may consider returning one day, but would avoid any busy period.

Kristy, the pre-arrival ambassador, is the reason our stay was so memorable! She had emailed me prior to our stay to ask if I had any requests. I mentioned my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. I also mentioned that we were staying 3 nights total. The first 2 nights were under my name and the last night under my wife's name due to a free night award that she had in her Marriott Bonvoy account. I have Platinum elite status and one of the perks is complimentary breakfast for 2 each morning. I asked if she could extend the breakfast benefit to the 3rd night under my wife's name. She had no problem doing that even though Bonvoy rules say the hotel is not required to do that. I had also asked Kristy if we could stay in the same room for all 3 nights. I had been upgraded to a Na Hale wing room for the 2 nights under my name due to Suite Night Awards that I used. Kristy was able to get us to stay in the same upgraded room for the 3rd night under my wife's name for no additional charge. That was really nice. She went above and beyond. At check-in I was surprised that Kristy personally met my wife and I and walked us to our room. She also provided us with some cookies as a gift for our anniversary. She seems to care about her job and is the reason I'm writing this review. The 2nd floor room we had in the Na Hale wing was very nice. The Na Hale wing is a separate small building closer to the ocean with 14 rooms The bathroom was huge with 2 sinks and a LARGE walk in shower. We had a balcony looking at the fish pond and ocean. It was beautiful! Be aware that there is no elevator in the Na Hale wing, but that was not an issue for us. We ate the continental breakfast buffet each morning which was included for being a Platinum Bonvoy member. There was a $12/person upcharge for the full breakfast, but the continental breakfast was more than sufficient. The continental breakfast had fruits, breads, and pastries. It even included hot items such as waffles, pancakes, and one meat. BE AWARE that the breakfast area is outdoors and the birds are not afraid of people. They will fly on your table and eat your food if you aren't careful. Don't leave the table unattended with food on it. The downside to everything is the $30 resort fee. I absolutely hate resort fees and find them to be an easy way for hotels to get extra revenue. It did include a list of things including daily activities and 2 drinks. I knew of the resort fee beforehand, so it was no surprise. Overall a great stay and we would come back. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Kona on our 4th night and it wasn't comparable. The Waikoloa Beach location of the Marriott is much better than being in Kona.

We loved every aspect about the hotel. It was well appointed. The rooms were amazing. The service was great. The sister property was a nice bonus. The beach was awesome and not a piece of plastic was seen on the beach or in the ocean. The check-in experience was pleasantly memorable with leis and welcome beverage. The reuseable water bottle may be the best gift I have received ever. We will be back and hopefully stay longer and more often.
