We made a late one night booking when we had an extra night for our planned trip away. I always book straight with the hotel but was redirected to a Greene King site which gave little information and only allowed 'room only'. We prefer bed and breakfast. Having said that our reception was wonderfully friendly and our room was in the ancient part of the hotel and had a lovely view of the Church. The stairs were difficult to negotiate carrying luggage but we coped. Both dinner and breakfast were well up to scratch. Well done to the staff.

The Thomas Paine Hotel was a wonderful surprise. Fantastically decorated, warm and welcoming staff, great food prepared by their excellent chef using local ingredients and an exceptional atmosphere suitable major functions. There are also cosy relaxing areas for quite moments. I was very surprised to see the Thomas Paine Museum located within the hotel which was entertaining and informative. This hotel is definitely a gem in The heart of Norfolk and I would highly recommend a visit.
