We spent a night at the Huacalera, their staff we’re friendly & helpful, room was nice, they had alpaca farm, but the breakfast needs to be improved

An excellent property with all you need to enjoy in the Jujuy area. It’s right in the middle of everything and with an amazing staff!

The hotel was fine! A bit expensive compared with others on our trip. But the dinner and breakfast were both very good. In fact the dinner was perhaps the best so far on our travels. Excellent quality of food and cooking, even if we were only 2 of 4 people eating that evening. Service was very good with a well supervised young waiter. The wines were also good. The value for money continues to stagger a European visitor! And the unusual menu items such as sweetbreads and llama are beginning to grow on us.

Luxurious hotel with deluxe accommodations and mountain view. A true oasis! Restaurant was fantastic. Be sure to try the mixed drinks.

Beautiful hotel in Huacalera. Such helpful staff, clean and spacious room, lovely breakfast included, and the hotel restaurant had a good dinner menu - not many other dining options in the area (closest town is Tilcara).

The lobby and dining area are very nice. There was a lovely woman who helped guide us but the rest of the staff was a bit standoffish. Dinner's good. The hotel is a bit isolated, so if you need anything, you have to get in a car and drive to find it.

Beautiful setting and hotel. There’s nothing in Huacalera except the hotel but it’s very close to Tilcara and Humahuaca. Does require a car.

This was a great surprise for us to find the hotel that exceeded all our expectations. It is a unique hotel that is situated in a small town without tourist crowd which makes it totally pleasant. Though it may be far from all tourist attractions, it is the best option to stay and have it as a base to visit all around Humahuaca area. The rooms are spacious and clean. The wifi is strong all around the hotel including in the rooms and in the private terraces. The service is excellent and the staff are all great. Very spacious parking and cute animals. The biggest gem of the hotel is its restaurant that provides stellar cuisine and quality with excellent choice of wine and all at reasonable prices. We had our best dinners in this hotel during out stay in all our 3-week trip around Argentina. Definitely the best place to stay in the area and it would beat any famous chained 5-star hotel anywhere else. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone! The payment with the card was an issue during the check-out as the terminal did not work, but we managed it. Bring cash!

I spent 4 nights at Hotel Huacalera. I was able to meet Juan, one of the owners and Alejandro, the manager. I could not congratulate them enough for the excellent service, the permanent smile of the staff. They are all super efficient and professional. And very warm at the same time. The hotel is confortable, beautiful, with wonderful food also.

A lovely hotel, perfectly placed in the centre of Jujuy’s many amazing places to see. The restaurant food was incredible, top quality, with attentive service. The room was beautiful and so comfortable. I would happily return

Positives: The rooms are very spacious and clean. The hotel is well located, about 10-15 min drive from Tilcara where you have dining options, and between Purmamarca and Humahuaca - perfect for visiting Jujuy. The hotel is located on the main road, so easy to access. You need a car to access it (and in general to travel around the province). Negatives: The terrace of every room however is also facing the road. The breakfast is not great. They have many cakes, but otherwise the continental options are not great, e.g. they don’t have jam, only honey (upon request). They also don’t have any milk alternatives.

Todo excelente, la calidad del desayuno, la atención, la calidad de la comida del restaurante, la limpieza. Es un hotel súper tranquilo. La única crítica (constructiva) es que la pileta podría tener climatizador. Todo el personal bien predispuesto y atento a todo momento. Un lujo! Un buen destino para hacer base y salir a recorrer desde acá.
