I paid 150 RMB for high tea today and although the product was creative and a bit fun I left hungry. My main issue however was the service. It appears there was no manager on duty because the staff were messing about on their mobile phones and I had to always ask them for things because they were focussed on chatting and their phones. It wasn’t 5 star at all and having managed hotels the service was actually appalling. I found a bit of plastic in one of the dishes and the staff member just took it from me and threw it in the bin. No acknowledgement. Then I was waiting in the lobby for my cab and I can hear front desk staff laughing and messing about. They were only interested in messing about. I feel cheated by todays experience and I hope they get manager back on duty soon because today it was not being managed at all

Kami menginap di hotel dongeng ini selama tiga hari pada minggu kedua Februari 2024. Bilik kami bukan sahaja luas tetapi juga sangat selesa. Kami gembira untuk bangun setiap pagi untuk sarapan pagi yang lazat yang menawarkan pelbagai pilihan yang lazat. Kakitangan bekerja di atas dan di luar untuk memastikan kepuasan kami. Setiap ahli pasukan memakai senyuman tulen dan menjadikan misi mereka untuk menggembirakan kami. Saya masih ingat budi Haron Alrashid apabila dia menawarkan diri untuk memandu kami ke pasar raya berdekatan. Hatinya yang besar untuk kemanusiaan benar-benar menyentuh kami. Puan Surjet Singh dan Dana secara konsisten menyambut kami dengan senyuman hangat dari saat kami tiba sehingga hari berlepas kami, malah membantu kami dengan bagasi kami. Senarai kakitangan yang luar biasa ini diteruskan, tetapi malangnya, tidak ada ruang yang cukup untuk menyatakan rasa terima kasih kami kepada setiap seorang daripada mereka. Kami benar-benar berterima kasih atas usaha besar yang dilakukan oleh seluruh kakitangan untuk mencipta pengalaman yang tidak dapat dilupakan untuk kami. Dedikasi dan komitmen mereka untuk memastikan penginapan kami luar biasa amat dipuji. Jika boleh, kami akan menganugerahkan hotel yang indah ini lebih daripada lima bintang. Tanpa teragak-agak, kami amat mengesyorkan hotel ini kepada sesiapa yang mencari tempat untuk berehat dan bersantai.

A unique accommodation in the heart of Georgetown. This was the perfect location and within walking distance of many places of interest as well as local and western eateries. The staff at this place go above and beyond. Staying there for a week you start to feel a part of the family. They are able to organize tours, drivers and laundry at request. The rooms itself was spacious and around the side of the building meaning it was well hidden and the rooms; you really feel like you are staying in a authentic Malaysian mansion given the decor. Last but not least there is the resident cat ”Mike” who you will undoubtedly come across for pats throughout the day. We also got breakfast during the stay and they have a local or western option. My advice go for the roti- was very yummy. All in all I would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in Georgetown and would stay there again if I return.

Ini adalah hotel impian paling santai yang saya tinggal. Rasa selesa dan tenang ☺️. Sarapan pagi 🍳 sangat sedap 🤤 dan kakitangannya cukup baik di restoran. Kolam sangat instagramable. Semuanya bagus kecuali perkhidmatan. Kami telah menghubungi 3 kali dari telefon hotel tetapi tiada siapa yang mengangkat telefon. Saya perlu turun dan meminta mereka menghantar jubah mandi kepada saya 😢, perlu diperbaiki ya Akan datang menginap lagi 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Saya boleh mencari lokasi hotel dengan mudah melalui google maps/ waze. Jika anda datang dari USM, agak sukar untuk memasuki jalan masuk hotel kerana keadaan lalu lintas. Saya cadangkan anda datang dari kawasan pasar raya besar Lotus, jadi jalan masuk ke hotel mudah diakses. Penyambut tetamu membantu dan sopan. Hotel ini menyediakan tanjakan dan lif serta mesra kerusi roda. Biliknya agak kecil dan padat tetapi lengkap dengan keperluan asas. Mereka mempunyai tv pintar supaya saya boleh menonton netflix menggunakan akaun saya. Wifi mudah diakses. Saya boleh menyelesaikan kerja saya dalam talian semasa dalam perjalanan. Di tingkat bawah terdapat The Coffee Bean And Tea Lead Cafe, baik untuk mereka yang ketagih kopi. Incan berjalan kaki ke Pasar Besar Lotus berdekatan untuk mencari peralatan mandian atau makanan, atau makan di gelanggang dood. Family Mart juga terletak dalam jarak berjalan kaki. It also located near to Pelita Nasi Kandar and Subaidah Nasi Kandar.

The white elevator is very unique to this elevator. Tho it was slow but I don’t mind bec it so chic with glass door. Very unique indeed! Love it though I wasn’t able to take pic. 😒 +++ white elevator, water refilling dispenser, very spacious room & bathroom +++ location was quite away from the main action but there are 2 bus stops nearby, komtar & chowrasta are 5-10mins walk +++ they provide dental kit, small soap, nice shampoo/conditioner & body wash, mugs, electric kettle, safe, ref, ac was functioning very well, room telephone, tv but i did not use it +++ free wifi was good —- reception is not very friendly except for 1 Indian guy who promptly answers whatsapp tho he mistaken me for a guy at first 😄, the chinese receptionist hardly smiles, indian lady seemed to not know anything when you ask about tourist spots (i think hotel people should equip themselves with some knowledge on tourism. I mean there should be basic orientation by management on this. Times had changed and you need to have these extra customer service, just suggesting). —- i was in the assumption that cleaning is daily but i was told every other day but i still need to remind them about it. Entire hotel can use some improvement in the cleaning — no closet inside the room, you just have to hang your stuff —- my view was a huge wall —- soundproofing is bad, very noisy when people close doors or children running around. You hear toilet flushing from nearby rooms —- it was raining when I arrive and nobody offered an umbrella except on the second day when the janitor heard me. That was appreciated very much. It also made me realize that umbrella is a weapon for solo travellers so that made the carrying a little easier —- towels smell mushy maybe bec of rainy season —- sometimes bathroom had some drainage smells —- food choices was a little limited in area unless you walk for like 5-10mins. Overall stay was still on the good side. I had way worst stays than this. I did enjoy my solo trip to Penang and would love to go back. I plan to stay next time near the street art areas where the actions are. I would still recommend le embassy to other travellers.

Lokasi yang sangat baik kerana ia hanya berdekatan untuk pergi ke Astaka dan medan selera. Terdapat tarikan lain yang berdekatan terutamanya The Habitat dan tarikan mini yang lain. Hotel ini direka bentuk lama dan kelihatan seperti sebuah asrama. Tiada penghawa dingin kerana ia akan menjadi sejuk pada waktu malam sehingga keesokan paginya. Harap mereka dapat menaik taraf reka bentuk bilik asas dan kemudahan seperti kepala pancuran mandian, lantai, menambah air mineral dan minuman panas segera. Nasib baik, anda akan mendapat pemandangan indah seluruh Pulau Pinang di atas bukit. Itulah bahagian yang menang.

2 night stay in room #4 - very comfortable king bed, windowless room. Room was very spacious and clean, ditto for the bathroom. Trendy RBG lighting in the bathroom and headboard which we liked for ambient lighting because of the lack of a window. It took us a day to realize that there is a switch (with a red light) for the hot water heater. Appreciated the 2 bottles of water and packets of instant coffee and tea with a kettle in the room, also a few small free snacks and water next to the front desk but no breakfast. Lots of local food in the area. I’d highly recommend this small inn due to the quirky decor and great value for money factor (booked through agoda).

Hotel: I've booked a hostel in Georgetown before I found out Tune Hotel has a special rate for weekly & monthly. I cancelled the hostel & try the Tune Hotel, Jalan Burmah at RM64.30/night/queen bedroom with window, fan, aircond, toilet. Booked by phone call, not online booking. Surprisingly the size of room is enough for 2 pax, has space for solat, got hair dryer. I end up 7 nights there. Turn out that most of 2-3 stars hotels here are around RM100++/night, hostel with sharing toilets RM45++/night. Lucky me. Don't forget to pay RM2/night as intructed by the Pulau Pinang government. Self-laundry: 10 minutes walking from the hotel, I found a 24-hour self-laundry at Jalan Argyll. Laundry Hub Georgetown. It uses dobi coins. RM7 for 7 coins for 14 kg normal washing (30 minutes), RM4 for 4 coins for dryer (30 minutes). Bring your own washing net so you can put all underwears inside. I'm satisfied with the cleanliness. Halal food: For Muslims, the New Theme World food court next to the Tune Hotel is not focusing on halal food but I think rice set by Kerala Banana Leaves can satisfy our hunger for lunch. Ask for vegetarian set. I also tried Simple Cafe nearby Jalan Argyll, the halal, Malay food small restaurant. The porridge & ikan asam are quite delicious, 8/10. As if I was having home-cooked meals. But they close every weekend. For breakfast I saw a long que along one of the road. I followed the line, tried roti telur, roti canai, kari with 2 big chunky of meat. I'm not a fan of curry so I rate it as 5/10. At the end of Jalan Burmah I found a special food outlet, The Community. They sell kombucha, vegetarian pasta, puddings & other things. As the seller told me all F&B are supplied by single mothers, disabled community & poor people, I tried & have no regrets. Delicious. They have yoga class every Wednesday, 7-8 pm. Let's support domestic tourism again! Just few minutes from The Community, I noticed many people flocked into a bread small shop. Driven by curiosity, I joined the que & found out they were waiting for hot, big apple pie, pineaple pie, cheese tart, egg tart & other fresh pastries. This was my first time staying at a self check in hotel. Instructions were emailed to me. However, as I was arriving in the morning I wanted to leave my suitcase behind security and return after 3pm to check in. They were kind enough to meet me at 10am. As it turned out I was able to pay cash for my stay as well as check in immediately. Win win. I had booked over 4 months in advance and was allocated my double bed room at the rear of the building which ensured quietness. This room was spacious. The bed linens were clean and I enjoyed a comfortable sleep. The aircon was quiet and efficient and the fridge and TV worked fine. Though I could only find one channel with some movies in english. There were also a low storage unit and 2 chairs with a power point to the side. It would be more practical if the 2 chairs were replaced with a work desk and 1 chair. Lighting was good. The bathroom was a compact wet room. The hot water was okay with decent water pressure. The balcony was large with a table and two chairs. Always new experiences when staying at hotels around SEA. Here was no different. Instead of the standard floor tiles this balcony had synthetic grass. Minute size ants will invade if there is any food (crumbs) etc around. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here made more pleasant by the owners assistance in facilitating my check in.

The moment I stepped into the hotel lobby and room, I immediately felt at ease. My primary concern was there is no basement parking lot (after reading reviews in TA). But once I reached the hotel, it is not a problem bcz there is a designated space in front of the hotel for hotel resident's cars. Other than that, everything is just amazing. I was on an impromptu work/vacation trip with my sisters. The room and bathroom were big enough for the 3 of us to move around. Plenty of space. The 3 of us can even fit in front of the bathroom mirror to do our makeups. That's how spacious it is. Room is at 5th floor, no 518. We had a good sunrise view from our window, which was pleasant. The price that we paid were worth it. Service is excellent. Always friendly, with a smile and always greets you whenever they see you. We had problem with the safe in our room; couldnt open it after we locked it. It was immediately resolved after we made a call to the recep. We asked for an extra towel as there were some stains on one of the ones provided to us. They sent the new one up promptly. Impressive service. Applause to the management team! Too bad they only have one water machine at the lobby. Hope they will consider installing at every floor for convenience. Room, bathroom n beds were clean. No problem with plumbing and air con. No breakfast in this hotel but plenty of eateries nearby, within walking distance. So location is excellent. Plus it is not located in front of the main road so you can get a quiet night sleep. Will I come back to this hotel? A definite yes! I'll probably ask for higher floors next time I'm back.

Hotel yang sangat tenang dan selesa. Bilik suite adalah besar dan mempunyai ruang yang cukup. Semuanya bersih dan selesa. Lagipun, ia adalah rumah lama, dan kemudahan dan peralatan mungkin agak lama, tetapi ia boleh digunakan seperti biasa dan kecacatan tidak disembunyikan. Apabila matahari bersinar di luar, sangat selesa untuk mempunyai penghawa dingin di dalam bilik dan baring di atas katil dan melihat pemandangan di luar melalui tingkap. Mungkin agak dikesalkan kerana tidak ada pantai di sini (tetapi saya melihat anjing laut!), tetapi sekali lagi, jika ada pantai, mungkin tidak ada kesucian yang jarang berlaku di sini. Ia sangat sejuk dan selesa untuk turun ke tingkat bawah pada waktu pagi dan petang dan menikmati angin laut. Bufet sarapan pagi di Heritage Wing mempunyai sangat sedikit pilihan, tetapi bahagian dan rasa hidangan a la carte sangat sedap. Saya mendengar dari orang lain bahawa minum petang dan makan malam di sini juga terkenal. Malangnya, saya selalu berjaga semua siang dan keluar malam. Tiada peluang untuk mengalaminya. Lima minit jauhnya adalah bekas kediaman Cheung Fatt Tze, dan ia juga sangat dekat dengan dim sum generasi kedua yang kaya. Jika anda tidak takut panas atau elakkan bermula awal atau lewat tengah hari, anda boleh pergi ke George Town dengan berjalan kaki. Saya secara peribadi sangat menyukai hotel ini. Saya pergi pada dua, pagi Jumaat yang dikendalikan oleh arkitek / konservator / pemilik Puan Loh, yang sangat menarik dan berpengetahuan tentang penyenaraian UNESCO. Sarapan pagi sangat baik, tetapi kami makan di luar untuk hidangan lain, Pulau Pinang terkenal dengan makanan jalanan dan ketersediaan sedia berdekatan termasuk Red Garden Food Paradise betul-betul di sebelah.

I stayed for one night at The Chambers Hotel. Though it’s well maintained, it still looks dated but still comfortable enough. The receptionist was friendly enough to upgrade me to family room as my own room type was already full. Wifi is quite strong though it may lag sometimes when streaming videos. The toiletries are relatively sufficient with both shampoo/body soap combo and toilet paper (though there’s a bidet spray). I couldn’t find the hair dryer and was careful about opening drawers as some of them looked old and brittle. It would be good if the furniture could be maintained better. Location-wise, this is a very good location as it’s just opposite the Esplanade. It’s a good location for those who wants to mostly visit points of interest in historical George Town. I picked this location as I needed to take my ferry to Butterworth in the morning and this is just 10 minutes walk away. However, as it’s right next to the main road, there tends to be noisy cars passing by even during the wee hours. Convenience wise, there is a water dispenser in the hotel and there is also a 7-Eleven if you need stuff late at night.

When I came there on a rainy day around chinese new year, the old guy at the reception shouted : ” fully booked” agressively, and then when I show him the booking on my phone from Hotels.com, he was a bit kinder, he grumbled about Hotels.com and then offered me a room without window without even offering a discount. I refuses because it wasn't what I had payed for, then he told me they had an other hotelandI could stay there but I had to wait for a guy with a car coming soon to drive me there, I waited for more than an hour then he drove me to the other side of the city to an hotel really crap (foto) and an other room wirhout window, I was really furious, I told then, then emailled them I wanted to cancel and get a full refund, they never replied. As soon I found a new hotel I contacted Hotels.com, they could not reach the hotel, they promised to do their best but 3 days later they had done nothing they even made a confusion with another hotel I had booked thru them, they send me messages every 5/6 days saying they still could not reach the hotel but they keep up trying, and then 2 weeks passed and nothing more, I asked them what was going on: They said they could not reach the hotel and in this case their politic was :no refund! And generously they offered me a 10$ credit! So on Hotels.com they can book for u a room in an hotel already fully booked, and then if the hotel do not reply at your request it can gleefully going away with the money and rent rooms that do not exist! In the normal world, in a justice suit if a party doesn't show up at the court he will lost, the absentee is always wrong, with Hotels.com it's the opposite!

We were looking for a unique hotel that would reflect the uniqueness of Georgetown and were not disappointed. The hotel is in a renovated set of historic shops in the middle of wonderful Georgetown with the owners having done a lot to reflect its heritage. Is the hotel perfect, maybe not - our room (Argus Suite) was relatively dark, the bathrooms are not always perfectly designed - but this for me is perfectly acceptable knowing you are staying at a historic location. Do I remember all the typical large chain hotels I stayed at - no. Will I remember the Seven Terraces - yes.

這麼棒的酒店竟然攜程上評價很少，我也是因為一些原因之前訂的酒店沒有被接單，攜程幫我換到這裏，一開始有點忐忑啊，門臉非常小差點就沒找到，但是進去別有洞天。非常有特色，聽出租司機介紹這個樓有百年歷史，後來翻新做了酒店，真的很厲害！整體感覺乾淨，安靜，有中文前台，服務非常好，詳細介紹了周邊吃飯和買東西的地方。院子景觀別緻，游泳池小巧精緻。早餐每天不一樣，提前一天去前台小姐姐那裡選，雖然不是自助但是絕對絕對夠吃而且味道非常非常贊！這裏住的外國人很多，早餐時候感覺自己像在歐洲而不是東南亞！房間有一個單人床一個雙人床，如果是帶孩子的一家三口，孩子超過5歲會額外收80一天的費用，這樣客房服務會幫我們準備單人床的被褥並且多準備一份早餐！客房每天提供礦泉水，膠囊咖啡，room service 後會放個小零食在被子上，特別可愛温馨！床品舒服，洗澡用品不錯！ 位置在喬治城中心，距離有名的88蝦麪很近，附近有個大商場，大超市，711，福祿壽餅店，走路去壁畫街20分鐘，打車去周圍幾個打卡點基本10多塊就可以！
