SRM Hotel Trichy

Hotel location is good. Hygiene wise not that great. Cups and sauces in the dinning room are stained. Room telephone is dirty and dusty. Breakfast is always the same menu. Overall good place to stay.

The food is amazing. They have western options and South Indian food at the breakfast. It's a great way to try South Indian food as it's not spicy (although you can ask for peppers and spice). They have an outdoor pool and the air conditioning in the rooms works great. They have generators so when the power grid fluctuates the generators kick in within a minute. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. If anything isn't immediately to your liking, just ask and they will fix it for you. Tip for Western travelers - you can ask them to speak slower if you have a hard time understanding their accent. They speak Tamil, English, and at least one person on staff speaks Hindi. There is Wifi but it's not fast enough to use to work remotely.

Value for money hotel. Food is good.Hotel vehicle was clean and the chauffeur was very professional. Check in was smooth and took only a minute as they were ready with the paperwork. Room was decent and kept it clean.South Indian food was authentic. Overall a very good experience

This was my fourth visit to SRM this time for a two weeks stay. If you need a quiet , totally noise free room amidst nature SRM is the only answer. The rooms are very spacious and food excellent .Plug points location, non centric TV placement in rooms may be minor irritants but overall what SRM offers you is a fabulous , comfortable and peaceful stay. As I don't speak Tamil, I often needed help which was... gladly provided by elegant charming Patricia with a magnetic personality .Very sincere and dedicated .She got all my issues addressed efficiently. This was lovely to be in a place where peacocks give you morning alarm. A lovely stay--- amidst polite and sincere professionals.

We stayed for one night at the hotel. Primary reason for choosing this hotel was its proximity to the airport. We had 4 rooms for 8 adults and 2 kids. They charged 4500 for double occupancy and 1000+tax for extra bed. I believe the rates are high given the rooms are old and in need of renovation. The food was very good. We had lunch, dinner and complimentary breakfast at the hotel. Not all the items in the breakfast was not ready by 7am and we had to leave by 7:30. But every dish we had here was good so a big thumbs up for the food. The location is ok if you have a flight to catch. Otherwise it is in a part of town on either side of the hotel are govt offices and quarters so not much to do. Srirangam temple is about 40 minutes by cab.

Stayed there for a night when we were going back after visiting Velankanni. Except for one complaint, the hotel was ok in other aspects. The rooms were big and the chairs in the room were quite comfortable. The views are just some trees The air con is really cool which is so nice after walking in the sun We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel . The dinner was tasty and the breakfast was good: the breakfast buffet is the usual stuff you find in any other south indian hotels. This hotel is near the airport and its very convenient for those who arrive in Trichy in the evening and plan to stay one night before leaving for somewhere else the next morning. So whats the complaint - well I just realised after coming back home that in the booking form its written that this hotel follows the 24hour checkout time ( for those not familiar, some hotels follow the rule where your check out time is 24hours after check in ). During check in ( late afternoon) , I asked the counter staff about the check out time since our flight out of Trichy was in the night and the staff ( a young *** with a pleasant face) told me that check out time was 12 noon. Because of that I paid for an extra half day so that I can check out later. Now I find that their policy is 24hours check out. I booked two hotel room through the hotel website and not thro any third parties and in my experience travelling all over , generally if you book through the hotel website , many of the hotels especially the big hotel chains would upgrade your room if the hotel is not busy and also they would give a discount for food and beverages which is not available in this hotel. But thats ok, my main complaint is their check out time policy - is it 12 noon or 24 hours
