Nice cosy place with an ofuro on the 3 level. Near nippori station. Friendly reception and housekeeping. Thank you Ms Suzuki, Ms Urashima for their hospitality. Keep up the standard of service. It’s a pleasure staying there. The rooms facing the station a bit noisy at night, breakfast though cheap the quality is not up to expectations… room for improvement.

Emit Hotel Ueno: Convenient Location, Compact Comfort Emit Hotel Ueno offers a convenient location for exploring Tokyo. It's located near Asakusa, which is easily accessible within a 20-minute walk or a quick 5-minute bus ride. Its proximity to a train station also makes it a great base for getting around the city. The rooms are small, which is a common characteristic of hotels in Tokyo. However, despite the limited space, the rooms are comfortable. If you prioritize a well-connected location with easy access to Asakusa and public transportation, and you're comfortable with smaller room sizes, Emit Hotel Ueno is a good option.

This was a great apartment for our 3 day stay in Tokyo. It was very clean and comfortable and a brilliant base for Asakusa and getting into central Tokyo. The addition of the small kitchen was great. The toilet and shower are compact but it all works out very well. Good shower. Staff were very helpful and let us store our luggage in the lobby on our last day after check out. Shenso-Ji temple is 5 minutes away and we enjoyed seeing it at different times of the day. Would recommend getting up early and beating the crowds (we went at 8am and this seemed a good time). Seeing it lit up at night is also pretty special. Asakusa station is a 10 minute walk and has both the Ginza and Asakusa line plus the Access Express train went straight there from Narita airport. Would highly recommend this hotel and staying in the Asakusa area, we had a brilliant time!

It was a great experience, but unfortunately I forgot to take a photo, so I found one in the photo album. It is quiet and quiet near Sensoji Temple. It has two floors, tatami mats, and floor heating. The living and sleeping areas are separated. There are two toilets. It is very cost-effective. I stayed here for 12 days. The boss was very considerate and the room was fully equipped. We didn’t have to cook. If we need to cook by ourselves, it would be very convenient. We are very satisfied and will come back next time.

603 1. When you get to the first floor, please make sure you understand the intercom password before you can open the door and take the elevator. The elevator is a bit small. 2. After going upstairs, find out the password of the room door first, and remember to lock the door when you go out 3. If there is no hot water, the control panel is on the kitchen wall or there is a panel in the bathroom. Just press it to turn it on. 4. A hair dryer is available It's a short distance from the subway, there are few shops nearby, but everything else is ok. Affordable family room, the sofa bed in the living room is big enough for sleeping

The online registration procedures are convenient and the communication is very timely. The room was comfortable and clean, and the children especially liked tatami mats. The location is super close to Sensoji Temple. In the morning, you can visit before a large number of tourists arrive. The experience is very good. 👍

XXiaodangaoshidaqiqiWe traveled for 6 days, 3 days in a hotel and 3 days in a hotel apartment. I searched on Ctrip at that time, just based on my feeling. But I was so happy! I didn't expect to be so satisfied with the environment and facilities! The hotel apartment is still comfortable! The hotel is super new. I personally feel that the location is very good! ! It only takes about 10 minutes to walk to Sensoji Temple. Lawson, 7-11, and family are not far away, and the distance is also quite close! The coffee on the first floor of the hotel is delicious, and the front desk is also very enthusiastic! It's just that the quality of the hotel's slippers is too poor! They are worn out every day...😂 Every time I go to the front desk to ask for slippers, I feel a little embarrassed~haha

Walking distance to Suehirocho station & Ueno-hirokoji station (Ginza Line), Ueno-okachimachi station (Oedo Line), and Ameyoko shopping streets. 7-11 & McDonald's is also nearby. The room is clean, but housekeeping is not every day unless you stick the ”Clean Up Room” on the door before 11 am. Not all the staff can speak English. Would definitely stay at this hotel again if I return to Tokyo. Highly recommended.

GGnynotDormy Inn Ueno Tokyo – A Small but Well-Equipped Stay During my recent stay at Dormy Inn Ueno Tokyo, I found it to be a compact yet highly convenient hotel, especially for travelers who prioritize location and practical amenities over excessive space. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it does a great job of providing a comfortable stay with thoughtful touches. Location – Perfect for Travelers One of the best things about this hotel is its location. Just a short walk from Ueno Station, it offers easy access to the JR Yamanote Line, the Keisei Skyliner (for Narita Airport), and multiple metro lines, making it an excellent choice for those who plan to explore different parts of Tokyo. Additionally, the Ameya-Yokocho (Ameyoko) Market is just around the corner, where you’ll find everything from fresh seafood and street food to clothing and souvenirs. It’s a lively area that adds to the appeal of staying in Ueno. Room & Facilities – Compact but Functional As expected, the rooms are small, which is pretty standard in Tokyo, but they are well-designed with everything you need. The bed was comfortable, and the room included basic amenities like a TV, a small desk, and a fridge. Storage space is limited, but for a short stay, it was manageable. The bathroom was also compact, though the onsen (public bath) on-site makes up for it. Onsen – A Small but Relaxing Bath One of the highlights of staying at Dormy Inn hotels is their public bath (onsen), and this location has one, albeit on the smaller side. It’s not the biggest or most luxurious onsen, but it’s a nice way to unwind after a long day of walking around Tokyo. The water temperature was just right, and while the space was limited, it wasn’t overly crowded when I visited. Freebies & Unique Perks Dormy Inn is known for offering small but unique perks to its guests. This location provides free popsicles and yogurt drinks, which is a nice touch. However, they are only available during specific hours, so if you’re out sightseeing all day, you might miss out on them. They also supposedly offer free late-night soba, a Dormy Inn signature, but I never actually saw it happen and didn’t feel like asking about it. Maybe I just missed the time window. Free manga reading Housekeeping – No Room Cleaning, Just Fresh Towels One thing to note is that Dormy Inn follows a no-daily-cleaning policy. Instead of a full room service, they simply drop off fresh towels outside your door. This is fine if you’re staying just a few days, but if you prefer daily room cleaning, you might find it lacking. Staff & Service The staff at check-in were friendly and efficient, which I appreciated. They handled everything quickly and provided all the necessary information without any issues. While I didn’t interact with them much after check-in, the overall service felt professional and welcoming. Final Thoughts – A Solid Stay for Practical Travelers Overall, Dormy Inn Ueno Tokyo is a great choice if you’re looking for a convenient, budget-friendly, and functional stay in Tokyo. The location is excellent, the onsen is a nice touch, and the small perks like free drinks and late-night snacks add to the experience. Just keep in mind that the rooms are small, there’s no daily cleaning, and some of the free amenities have limited availability. If you’re okay with that, it’s a great place to stay in Ueno!

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Hotel Paul House and found it to be excellent value for money. The location is convenient, making transportation easy, and the accommodation itself is very comfortable. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service from the manager and staff, who were always helpful and accommodating. The hotel also provides useful amenities such as a washing machine, as well as plates, spoons, and other utensils. This makes it convenient for guests to bring food from outside, enjoy it in the lobby, and clean up afterward. Overall, I was highly impressed with my experience at Hotel Paul House. If I have the opportunity to visit Japan again, I will definitely choose to stay here.

CChi KuenThe service provided by the staff is quite good. Knowing that we need to do self-serve after 10pm but since I need to take care 2 kids and not convenient to move, they come to my room and serve us. It’s great! However, need to remind people who booked the largest room. We come with our friends together. Both of them staying in a small room and they can enjoy daily clean up service. But for large room (2 double bed), there is no clean up service (even you request to the receptionist / the room keeper). They can just clean up your room until the 4th day of your stay. It’s really bad experience and make us feel uncomfortable. Also, whenever you get into the room, check the ventilation of the toilet and the air-conditioner. You can always find that it is stuck with the dust and cause a lot of noise during the night time. It really has some impact to sleeping

WWeezI ain't sure why a lot of people left a very bad comment regarding this property, the room size is quite big compared with JP standard (we got room at 6 floor with 2 beds (5ft size) for 2 person) the location is good (a walking distance to Kuramae station 200-350m (for Toei Asakura & Oedo line), surrounded with good restaurants such as Ramen, Tonkatsu (authentic one open since 1977), origin Japan (ready to eat JP meals & side dishes), etc. including a good Patisserie shops, a convenience stores (Lawson, Family mart, 7-11, local supermarket). Yes they have a rule regarding towels (1/ea/2 nights) & cleaning services (not on daily basis but if you want you can ask them to do), the guy at the receptionist may not always smile but if you asked something he's always respond & support, they have a common area (2nd floor) which there is kitchen, kitchen utensils, microwave, coffee machine, dining table, couches and air conditioning (and they are allowed us to use with free of charge) personally my friend & I would booked this hotel if we visit Tokyo next time.
