We booked here because our daughter stayed at the Disney Paris hotel and said it was very good this hotel is close to the train station and has a tram stop if you can’t walk far,The staff were very helpful and pleasant the reception gave us a map and pointed out where the Christmas markets were.The hotel is very much like a Hampton by Hilton but not as spacious it it situated on a cross road and you can here the noise from traffic and trams but we enjoyed staying here as it was great value for the money.we paid for breakfast on our first day to see if it was good then booked for the rest of our stay as it was very good nice fresh rolls ham and cheese.I would definitely recommend here and hopefully visit again next year

1. STAR: The reception was not a warm welcome. It was more a formal reception of sign here and credit card or bankcard, and your room is probably not ready. A phone call, it is ready. This is your room number, etc. No nice emphatic welcome what so ever, but more a strict procedure. Maybe we encountered the wrong employee that would be more at the right place in the back office. Parking 11 euro (Life hack: at the street, 80 meters away, it is free of charge). Sauna: 10 euro 😡, should be free for a hotel. You start wondering how mich the toilets will costs. Bad managerial decision. 2. STAR The comfort room is a small room with an older flatscreen tv or better, a thick flatscreen. The airco seems never be succes to cool it down. It’s a warm 21,5 degrees and it never goes to the desired 19. Pillows are very thin. Matras somewhat hard. Two separate beds. Woha! Didn’t expect that! 3. STARS: Total impression inside, old but enough maintained. 4 STAR: Kitchen, was above expectations. Very good lady chef de cuisine and a very friendly waiter who works here for 42 years. 5 STAR: They will tear it down and build a new hotel in the next few years. Average: 3 STARS. Because of train delays I had to find a hotel in the middle of the night. Crown Select was the third one that I contacted by phone, they asked me to bring 100 euros of cash as a deposit. I explained that I didn't carry that amount of cash with me and that I could pay the hotel bill in advance (by bank-card) but they insisted (policy of that hotel). With a taxi driver i had to find an available ATM / cash machine, which generated a much bigger taxi bill (many cash machines weren't available in Mönchen-Gladbach after 22 o'clock). In my opinion this policy is un-human, un-necessary (people leave their passport not for no reason!!!). un-inviting (especially when in an unpleasant situation at midnight as I was in). THIS SHOULD BE FORBIDDEN. Pity for the hotel - anything else was good - one could skip the over-priced breakfast for 19 euros though.

Ich war gemeinsam mit Freunden in diesem Hotel, auf Grund einer Eheschließung:) hervorragende Aussicht zum Schloss, ruhige Lage. Nette Mitarbeiter, die sehr viel Geduld mit uns hatten:). Bis auf die Einrichtung, ist das Hotel Empfehlenswert:)

I come to this hotel for business often. The guy at the front office Kai junkers really does go above and beyond to ensure his guests safety, and comfort. He does an exceptional job. I will be back. Love this hotel and the front office staff Kai junkers

Great relaxing stay over 1 night. All clean and in working order. Pool nice and descent size (not 25m long) but good size for any hotel. Sauna – well needs new stove as not hot enough, steam room – not hot enough. Superb breakfast – lots to choose – be first to have a great selection of fab Dutch cheeses. Comfy beds, nice Lavazza coffee machine with a few capsules to have and great organic tea in the room as well. Fridge was working fine and not loud at night. ‘Rituals’ range in bathroom – wow – it was a nice thing. Nice and quiet stay. Will come back again if on my way and hopefully the stove in sauna will be improved.

Gestern zu zweit im Restaurant. Zuerst wird Brot und Butter gereicht. Die (gesalzene) Butter schmeckt leicht salzig und - leicht ranzig. Meine Begleitung bestätigt, dass die Butter einen „Stich“ habe. Leise bitte ich an der Küche um neue Butter. Wenige Minuten später erscheint eine weibliche Servicekraft - mit leeren Händen: „Der Koch hat probiert. Er sagt, die Butter ist nicht ranzig, sie ist gesalzen.“ Für einen Moment sprachlos, starre ich die Bedienung an, eine Frau am Nebentisch dreht sich kopfschüttelnd um. Dann muss ich tatsächlich ein weiteres Mal um neue Butter bitten. „Gesetzt den Fall, ich hätte mich geirrt - was nicht der Fall ist - würden Sie mir dann wohl bitte nichtsdestotrotz ein neues Stückchen Butter bringen??“ Die erbettelte „neue“ Butter wurde uns dann von einer weiteren Servicekraft überreicht. Danke auch … Das weitere Essen war übrigens gut, nicht sehr gut, aber gut. Gottlob gibt es genügend Restaurants im Umfeld, wo der Gast noch König ist.

L'hôtel est extrêmement excentré. Cela ne semblait pas être un problème à la réservation dans la mesure où l'hôtel est supposé être plutôt bien desservi par les transports. Cependant, l'hôtel déclare être à deux minutes du métro. Cette station est en effet présente, mais est la dérivation d'une ligne avoisinante. La station est fermée le soir et le dimanche et est désservie une fois toute les 30 minutes. Une autre station à 7 minutes de marche à pied dans un quartier d'affaire et désert le soir (et donc pas très sécurisant) s'impose donc la plupart du temps, et l'hôtel omet cette information de son site. De plus, cette autre station n'est désservie que toutes les 20 minutes. Comptez donc au moins une demi-heure pour rejoindre le centre-ville, ce qui réduit toute possibilité de repasser à l'hôtel pour se changer avant d'aller dîner par exemple. L'accueil est plutôt amical, mais la réceptionniste qui était présente pendant la quasi-totalité de mon séjour semblait de moins en moins sympathique lorsqu'on avait besoin d'elle. Par exemple, je ne parvenais pas à faire fonctionner le coffre-fort et visiblement elle non plus. Aucun mode d'emploi n'était mis à la disposition des clients ni du personnel semble-t-il. Une atre personne est venue voir si elle pouvait faire quelque chose et devait revenir vers moi, mais cela n'a jamais été le cas. J'ai donc dû me débrouiller moi-même. En attendant de trouver une solution le 2ème jour, j'ai dû confier certains de mes effets personnels à la réception afin qu'ils soient entreposés dans le coffre fort central. En raison de clients ayant fumé dans leur chambre d'après les membres du personnel de l'hôtel, le signal d'alarme à été automatiquement activé pendant la première nuit, et nous avons tous dû être évacués, dans la rue, avec une température de 10°C. Je dois dire que j'ai été impressionné par la réactivité du personnel qui à distribué des couvertures aux enfants et qui s'est montré à l'écoute des interrogations des clients en revenant dans l'hôtel. J'ajoute qu'ils semblait bien connaître et appliquer à la lettre un plan d'urgence. Le petit déjeuner était de belle qualité.

Uns als Paar hat der 4-tägige Aufenthalt in Wellings ”Linde“ sehr gut gefallen. Der Vorabkontakt mit Frau Baumanns war außergewöhnlich freundlich und kompetent. Das gesamte Anwesen ist von sehr viel Geschmack geprägt. Die alten Gebäude verspielt romantisch, der neuere Teil klar und modern. Alles außerordentlich wertig. Unser Kreativ-Zimmer lag im 1.Stock mit Nachmittagssonne auf dem Balkon und viel „Grün“ im Blick. Wir fanden einen wunderschönen ruhigen Sauna-und Wellnessbereich im KG sowie einen recht kleinen Sportraum vor. In 2 Minuten ist man fussläufig im angrenzenden weitläufigen Jungbornpark welcher sich romantisch, beidseits des Mörsbachs erstreckt und zu schönen Spaziergängen einlädt. In unserem Arrangement war neben dem täglichen, sehr leckeren Frühstück, welches in den kuschligen ”alten Stuben” oder im sonnenbeschienenen Innenhof eingenommen werden konnte, 1x ein abendliches 6-Gang-Menü enthalten. Schöne Stunden in stilvollem Ambiente mit sehr freundlichen, jungen Servicekräften Leckere, für uns mengenmäßig zu üppige Speisenfolge ( empfinden andere Gäste evtl. anders 😉). Sehr schön für‘s Auge angerichtet, geschmacklich war nicht jeder Gang für uns (!) ein Highlight. Insgesamt möchten wir uns beim gesamten Team für die Hilfe zu einer wunderbar entspannenden Auszeit bedanken. Dafür werden wir sicher noch einmal die 250km Anreise auf uns nehmen.
