First of all, BAD service attitude. When I checked out, the front desk stuff was playing with phone and ignored me. The cleaning stuff accused us of not cleaning up the bed so that she couldn’t make the bed. I understand, but her attitude is bad. I was offended. In addition, the fire alarm sounded in about 12:30 am! Although it is unavoidable issue, it still affected our rest. Last but not least, I booked for 4 nights. The hotel provided us 2 bottles of water in the first day. Then it would charged us for the water in rest of the days. I was thinking that if I “one day one check”, I would get 8 bottles of water for free. !!!!!

Very good hotel the only complain is that everyone came with their pet although the rooms seemed clean

Location is good. just 2-3 mins walk to College Station. Breakfast is nice at the restaurant in lobby floor. It’s also easy to find restaurants in Yonge Street, just 6-15 mins walk to North or South or take TTC to other place. You could book a Niagara Falls & pick-up at the hotel.

The check in was quick and came with two complementary waters. The design of the lobby was nice and the room was very spacious and well furnished, especially for its location in the busier areas of the city. I liked how there was a full body mirror in the room and in many places other in the hotel. There are a good amount of restaurants and transportation options nearby so it was very easy to navigate as a tourist. Unfortunately the door/walls had bad noise insulation so I kept mistaking the sound of doors/keys for people trying to enter my room which made me feel quite uneasy and paranoid. This is the only reason took a star off each category of this rating.

Absolutely perfect stay! When it comes to concerts in Toronto, I DREAD deciding between driving home exhausted and overpaying for a below average hotel. This popped up at the last minute following its renovation and I couldn't believe how reasonable the price was. At the same time last summer, I paid almost double the price for a less impressive hotel in a worse location! I was nervous based on the price, but gave it a shot given the reviews and I was very pleased with the choice. It was conveniently located, with lots of on and off the beaten path activities around it. We walked from Union station, and walked to all of our destinations during our stay, and felt safe the entire time. The hotel itself has a cool vibe, check-in and check-in was smooth, hospitality was very friendly and accommodating, room was extremely clean and amenities were great. We did experience some construction noise in the morning, but honestly-that is to be expected when staying in the city. But that is really the only ”complaint” I could come up with, everything else was PERFECT! This will be my first pick moving forward, hopefully the prices stay fair.

I stayed with Samesun in Toronto in Mars 2023. They have a 24 h open reception. The check in went smoothly, the rooms, bathrooms and showers were clean! You have a charger and a small lamp by your bed and curtains to separate yourself from the other’s. The best thing about the stay was the free of charge breakfast in the morning! Coffee, bagels, waffles, cereal, fruit etc.. so nice.

It was difficult to check in

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the TownPlace Suites hotel in Markham, Ontario. We booked the room with our Bonvoy points, so I can’t comment on price. Markham is a suburb about 15 miles north of Toronto. We picked this location since it was near relatives we were visiting. It’s located on a fairly busy highway with various commercial businesses nearby. There is a Chinese restaurant (QJD Peking Duck), which we did not visit, on the first floor. The thirteen-story building actually holds two Marriott properties: Courtyard by Marriott on floors 2 - 8 and TownPlace on floors 9 - 14. The registration desk serves both hotels. The lobby has several areas for socializing. There also is a Bistro/Bar area. Conference rooms, a business center and a spa are off to the side. A fitness center and indoor pool are on the lower level. Wifi is free. Surprisingly, parking is not. Signs say that it costs $6 Canadian per day to park in the attached multi-level garage, but we apparently were not charged. Check-in was courteous and efficient. You need your keycard to access the elevator. TIP: There is no 13th floor; the elevator buttons go from 12 to 14! We were assigned room 915. TIP: the room was almost across the hall from the ice machine and one wall of the room directly abutted the elevator bank. While the noise was neglible, you might want to keep this in mind if you’re a very light sleeper. The room was clean and decorated in what I would call ikea style. It was like living in a studio apartment. A flat screen TV was on a two-drawer chest/dresser. A wall-mounted desk had overhead shelving, a vertical cupboard, desk chair and rollout table. The kitchen section had a sink, two-burner electric range top, coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher (!) and fairly large refrigerator. There were multiple cabinets and drawers filled with practically every kitchen item you’d need: pots, pans, dishes, flatware, soap, etc. And if they’re still something you might need, chances are you can get it from the front desk. (See pic.) A full-size closet contained an iron/ironing board. No sign of a safe. The sitting area contained a loveseat, ottoman and floor lamp. The king-size bed had five pillows. The bed was a little soft, but comfortable. It was flanked by nightstands and wall-mounted lamps with electric outlets. 
The bathroom was average-sized. The vanity had lots of counter space and several drawers. And a hair dryer. The shower was quite large, taking up about a third of the room. There was wall-mounted hand soap and hair/body wash (in the shower) by ALICE & Co+ botanicals. Shower pressure and temperature were fine. TIP: Don’t be alarmed when you flush the toilet - the sound is comparable to that generated by an airplane commode. Breakfast was included with the room and was served on the 14th floor. The staff are lovely at the hotel and extremely helpful. The room was clean and basic. It is right on a flight path, but the noise is not noticeable at night. Parking is covered so problematic if you drive a larger vehicle such as a pick-up truck. No other options nearby to park. The restaurant is good and their staff helpful but has limited choices. This makes it difficult for those who have food restrictions. The Internet is slow, and TV is a little baffling regarding figuring out channels but that could be me not figuring it out properly. It is a pleasant hotel with courteous staff. Very responsive to communications as well.
