I recently hosted a conference at the Gibson Ballroom and the staff were incredibly flexible and attentive. Catering was amazing and the event staff made sure our every need was taken care of. I worked with Cathy, Kimia, Alla, and Kuga, and they were all very kind and professional. Despite there being an issue with heating, the hotel made sure proper measures were put in place to solve this issue. The event was a huge success!

This hotel boasts a fantastic location, conveniently close to public transportation. The rooms are impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, do note that it can get quite busy due to its popularity.

Very good hotel the only complain is that everyone came with their pet although the rooms seemed clean

We were happy of the place and the location. We were supposed to give 5 star. But an incident happened when we left. I requested for a cab to bring us to Billy Bishop airport and a lady assisted us well. We were informed that the cab is already outside, we placed all our stuffs in the cab and we sat inside ready to leave. But another guy also requested for a cab right after us. A very accommodating and friendly staff (Indian) helped us bring our luggages outside. (He was really kind, assisted us regardless of our nationality.) But when we were about to leave the guy (White, could be America ) who also asked for a cab webt outside assuming that our cab was his. The front desk (Chinese) asked the other staff (Indian) to ask us out of the cab, the Indian guy explained that we asked for a cab first but the Chinese guy didn't bother to listen. All he wants was for us to get out of the cab, didn't even apologize.

Beautiful new lobby, heated pool with amazing city view, gym was okay. Upgraded my room to 26th floor with lovely view of CN tower! No bottled water or coffee/tea in rooms. They sent up a kettle but no mugs or teas bags so a bit pointless. Room service didn’t have any vegetarian options. Very Comfortable bed and big TV, but only cable channels, would be nice to provide Netflix or other streaming apps.

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the TownPlace Suites hotel in Markham, Ontario. We booked the room with our Bonvoy points, so I can’t comment on price. Markham is a suburb about 15 miles north of Toronto. We picked this location since it was near relatives we were visiting. It’s located on a fairly busy highway with various commercial businesses nearby. There is a Chinese restaurant (QJD Peking Duck), which we did not visit, on the first floor. The thirteen-story building actually holds two Marriott properties: Courtyard by Marriott on floors 2 - 8 and TownPlace on floors 9 - 14. The registration desk serves both hotels. The lobby has several areas for socializing. There also is a Bistro/Bar area. Conference rooms, a business center and a spa are off to the side. A fitness center and indoor pool are on the lower level. Wifi is free. Surprisingly, parking is not. Signs say that it costs $6 Canadian per day to park in the attached multi-level garage, but we apparently were not charged. Check-in was courteous and efficient. You need your keycard to access the elevator. TIP: There is no 13th floor; the elevator buttons go from 12 to 14! We were assigned room 915. TIP: the room was almost across the hall from the ice machine and one wall of the room directly abutted the elevator bank. While the noise was neglible, you might want to keep this in mind if you’re a very light sleeper. The room was clean and decorated in what I would call ikea style. It was like living in a studio apartment. A flat screen TV was on a two-drawer chest/dresser. A wall-mounted desk had overhead shelving, a vertical cupboard, desk chair and rollout table. The kitchen section had a sink, two-burner electric range top, coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher (!) and fairly large refrigerator. There were multiple cabinets and drawers filled with practically every kitchen item you’d need: pots, pans, dishes, flatware, soap, etc. And if they’re still something you might need, chances are you can get it from the front desk. (See pic.) A full-size closet contained an iron/ironing board. No sign of a safe. The sitting area contained a loveseat, ottoman and floor lamp. The king-size bed had five pillows. The bed was a little soft, but comfortable. It was flanked by nightstands and wall-mounted lamps with electric outlets. 
The bathroom was average-sized. The vanity had lots of counter space and several drawers. And a hair dryer. The shower was quite large, taking up about a third of the room. There was wall-mounted hand soap and hair/body wash (in the shower) by ALICE & Co+ botanicals. Shower pressure and temperature were fine. TIP: Don’t be alarmed when you flush the toilet - the sound is comparable to that generated by an airplane commode. Breakfast was included with the room and was served on the 14th floor. This hotel was very easy to book through Titanium elite services. They made the process very easy and gave us a nice upgrade. They were very helpful with accommodating with the suite that offers a small full kitchen including dishwasher, silverware, microwave, regular size fridge, kitchen sink, coffee maker Lots of living room space and tv in living-room and bedroom. Easy for parking. They have space outside for large F250 trucks since a truck won’t fit in their covered parking.

I liked 👍the room, just the employee in the reception buffet , she was in a bad mood. The pool closed earlier than the time supposed. At 9pm.

We enjoyed our family long weekend, this is an ideal location, only a few minutes shuttle to the airport. We were able to grab the shuttle to the airport each day and from there take the UP Express and GO Bus to where ever we wanted to go. The hotel staff are such a pleasure to talk to, and helpful with every little detail (thanks for the pizza place recommendation- it was perfect!) It was great having breakfast included, and they have a generous selection to choose from! We were bummed the pool isn’t operational yet, but we knew that before we went, so we are looking forward to enjoying it another time. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anybody looking for a clean affordable hotel near the airport. And worth noting that we were near the elevator, but it wasn’t a noise issue at all (as we’ve experienced elsewhere in the past) (Side note, we were pleased that the room temperature was consistent (and the cooling/heating system quiet!) Trying my hand at international travel again, I decided to use this hotel as my staging ground. The front desk printed out my vaccination documents free or charge, and the room was large and very clean. The bar was packed with interesting people and service was good, but the burger was only mediocre. The shuttle was efficient. Good value overall!
