My daughter and I are currently staying at this hotel, 2 more days to go. We booked through TUI and were aware no rep would be available at the hotel. We arrived late at night due to flight times, transfer in a private taxi with another family went smoothly, cold meat and salad meal left in room on arrival, not particularly appetising so we didn’t bother. First impressions the next morning were our room was clean and adequate but on the ground floor and we had requested a balcony so to the hotel’s credit we were changed to another nearby room before lunchtime. The balcony room was a lot nicer, no tea/coffee/kettle facilities provided but we came prepared. The only dining room where guests can eat is a bit canteen style but clean, however again on the plus side you are allocated a table for your personal use during your stay. Soft drinks, cold beer and cold wine(both red!! and white) are on tap served in glasses but always seems to be a shortage but there is an abundance of plastic cups available. Crockery (cereal bowls in particular) and some cutlery also seem to be in short supply. There is a limited menu of 3 main dishes with vegetables, plenty of salad items but an annoying lack of fresh fruit apart from oranges you peel yourself and tinned (in syrup) peaches and apricots. Plenty of prunes and watermelon if you like that. The menu choices stay the same, a variation on a theme. Our first night was spent on the roof terrace for dinner, the hotel laid out all the tables and we had a lovely help yourself buffet as the sun was setting. No idea if the experience will be repeated before we go home but I guess will be weather dependent. One of our biggest problems here is the lack of communication and finding anything out. For example no information about towels for the pool, another English family told us where to go near the dining room and as we were all inclusive we could have a free towel. Not everything is included as we discovered. You have to pay for ice creams in the bars and some of the alcoholic drinks. There is no evening entertainment despite the TUI website stating the programme runs from 16th May till end of September with the promise of comedy and west end style shows. We arrived 28th May and still nothing by 1st June. The private beach is lovely and a quirky train takes you there in under 10 minutes. There is a bar serving drinks and snacks, toilets and plenty of sun beds available. The pool is vast and again plenty of sun beds available but loud music played for most of the day. There is a severe lack of English people here, we are 1 of 3 families only here currently which makes me wonder why TUI advertise it as a hotel for English people to stay at and clearly don’t bother having a rep here. Very little English is spoken, no directions around the complex are in English and I’ve only once seen a menu in English. Having travelled a lot of times in recent years with TUI I do feel this particular hotel is not up to their usu
