Had a wonderful few days at The Master Builder's. From start to finish the staff were great, chatty, friendly, funny, just what good hotel staff should be. A knock-out room overlooking the harbour, extremely comfortable bed. What's not to like? And the unexpected arrival of several vintage Delage cars was a real bonus!

A combined dinner bed and breakfast deal including dinner voucher and entry to Beaulieu - good value Reception staff were very welcoming - helped with luggage to the room - as were those in the restaurant Very nice dinner and choice for breakfast We had a lovely spacious room - river views

Beautiful location. Really lovely hotel. Chris the manager and his team could not have done any more for us. Great rooms and food. The Beaulieu package was such amazing value. The room change we asked for was handled with grace and charm by Chris. Highly recommended and will look to stay again.

We stayed the night in the hotel, had dinner in the restaurant and lunch in Henry’s pub. All the staff were very welcoming but we would like to say thank you to Daisy who looked after us for both dinner and lunch, giving us great service and friendly conversation.

Enjoyed our stay here, the staff are freindly and welcoming. Special compliments to our server Daisy who was fantastic both days. Stayed 1 night for business. Location is stunning, rooms were comfortable and the food was superb. Would recommend!

Our second visit because we fell in love with this place on our first visit. Even better this time - great room in main building, looking out over the river. With lots of extra touches. Food and staff still excellent Will be back for a third visit soon

This is just a review of the Riverview restaurant. We visited yesterday as a last minute decision, lovely weather, super views from the restaurant we know as we have stayed here before. It could not have been better, attentive professional staff lovely ambiance and delicious food. Be warned the 'snacks' we ordered for starters were lovely but pretty substantial. We both had fish main courses, beautiful hake with chorizo, delicious, and plaice with trimmings both well cooked. No room for a pudding though they looked tempting. We just loved the laid back atmosphere and went home thoroughly relaxed. We will be back, hopefully for more than a meal.

I live locally so have visited before, taking various friends and family as the setting is so pretty and the walk from Beaulieu a pleasant way to work up an appetite. I've never found the pub at the Master Builders to be anything other than expensive, sometimes grubby, with a very limited menu and overall a not very customer focussed experience, but I've never got round to reviewing before. And always hoped it might improve! But enough is enough.....today we ordered the tomato bruschetta , which, for 10 quid, one might have thought would be a teensy bit more interesting than a chopped tomato on a piece of dried toast. ONE piece of toast...an uninspired tomato...no hint of the promised balsamic dressing that I could discern..no apparent olive oil rubbed into toast. Awful. Eat here if you are on a diet and want to feel ripped off. Better to take a picnic and sit on the tables down by the river. This pub leaves a sour taste and treats customers like ******.

Been here multiple times over the years. It’s been tidied up over the past year but there is now less outdoor seating for the pub. Inside the pub may look authentic but to me always looks scruffy. However the location is great with lovely views of the river Pub no longer takes any cash. Drinks are very expensive. £9.45 for a pint of shandy and a tonic water!
