Ulasan Toya-Onsen Hotel Hanabi

The basic price was reasonable, but the service was terrible. The facilities were poor. The room was spacious, but the quality of the door seemed questionable, and the locking mechanism was very old-fashioned, probably because it was converted into a guest room later. There's a huge difference between lake-view and mountain-view rooms, and the front desk said almost all mountain-view rooms were corner rooms. I don't recommend the two-meal plan; although I expected frozen food, it was still incredibly unappetizing. The onsen was old-fashioned, with only one outdoor pool in a wooden hut. You could see the fireworks, but they were obstructed. I went to the lakeside pavilion for a day trip, which had fully outdoor open-air onsens – the facility difference was truly significant. The only thing worth praising was that the service was much better than expected; both the restaurant staff and the various front desk personnel I encountered had excellent attitudes.

Hotel just beside the lake at the end of the town but the bus stop is just in front of the hotel, so it’s very convenient. The room is OK.

Booked this for my cousin. The feedback was pretty good. The lake wasn't frozen, and the service was okay. The bus stop is a few hundred meters away, which requires a bit of a walk. They arranged a buffet for us. We chose a high-floor lake view room, which faced the lake directly – it really brightened my mood.

This hotel offers incredible value for money! It's right on Lake Toya, and the bus stop is literally a few steps from the entrance, with direct service to the JR station. The absolute highlight, though, was the breakfast and dinner – both were delicious and perfectly suited to Chinese tastes. Highly recommend!

This hotel is really old. While you can see Lake Toya and Mount Yotei directly from the room, it's genuinely the oldest hotel I've ever stayed in in Japan. The onsen water was greenish, which made me feel a bit uneasy while bathing.

Along Lake Toya, there's a row of hotels, much like Yangcheng Lake in Suzhou. I chose this one, and it offers great value for money. There were quite a few ********* tour groups staying here. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style and quite extensive, with fresh ingredients. However, don't expect fancy tableware or presentation. I booked a lake-view room, and the small balcony was a nice touch. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, so it's a convenient option if your stay doesn't include meals.

Superb location and friendly service from staff

The room is quite spacious, and for 500 a night with two buffet meals, it's incredibly good value for money. I absolutely indulged in the sweet shrimp at dinner! There were quite a few tour groups, so it's best to go a bit later for meals; otherwise, you'll be queuing just to grab some food.

Room with a view. Second time visiting and staying at the hotel. The rooms are cozy and good for family, though the amenities seem a little dated but overall still good. The onsen is very good and enjoyable.

Can recommend. Had a very nice view on the fireworks from the balcony + we could even see Mr Yotei partially. Easy to get around, bus stop from/to Toya Station in front of hotel. Good price/value and quite affordable compared to other hotels nearby.

Definitely a great location. Facing the lake with nice sun rise. Breakfast is great with quite a number of choice. Great service.

The hotel is quite old and room is very basic. Booking included dinner and breakfast but food standard is very low; unlike typical ryokan.
