Totally worth every penny. Everything was great from service to the awesome buffet at dinner and breakfast to the room and view. The pyjamas was really smooth and comfy. 😂 Mininum 2 nights would be great. Sad i only stayed for a night. The location is the best which just one minute walking distance to the bus terminal to/from Toya Station and in front of the ferry pier. Please see my photo. Perfect location. The front desk receptionist lady was friendly. I was placed to a lake view Japanese style room. It doesn't include shower but toilet in the room and it looks like old but I love the room. The view from the room's window to Lake Toya was excellent. I love my room's window can be opened, I could see more clear to the lake view and to have fresh air from outside by opening the window. Even it was a raining day, cloudy and frosty. The view is still spotless good. The service was good. The room was clean, tidy and come with all necessity, but bath/shower excluded. However, based on the price, I was happy with it because I don't mind to use the bathroom in the onsen area on floor one. There was only two down side that I found: First, the male onsen area floor was sticky and slippery with moss (My left hand accidentally touched it and my hand was sticked with moss in outdoor onsen area) that includes indoor and outdoor area. I wish they would take more effort to the cleanliness of onsen area. Second, the suana was not available for customer to use. However, I had a fantastic sauna and onsen in 万世閣 (a hotel where is just a few minutes walk away from Toya Grand Hotel) by a paying walk in onsen fee(1300 yen) for non-resident. So, it didn't affect me much. Overall, my experience was good. I would give Toya Grand Hotel 8 out of 10. I love Toya Grand Hotel. I would recommend it.

不得不說這真的是一次很棒的回憶，我是在2019年年底去的，住的房間為麪相湖麪，早上起床看向窗外就直接可以欣賞湖景，外麪有公車可以到達各個景點。飯店的溫泉環境非常棒，泡室外湯還可以一邊欣賞雪一邊泡，這真的是難得的體驗。非常推薦想去洞爺湖悠閑的住宿以及泡湯的人做為選擇。

The experience was somewhat satisfactory however the property is a bit old and not so well maintained , furniture is old & dirty and the room is stinks with cigarette smell. The design of the room is bad the location of the toilet right at the entrance door. The beds arrangement was not practical and user friendly to any occupants. Wey inconvenience to access and is small. The beds are too low and pillows are small. Generally staff service is satisfactory and acceptable. The great point of this property is that it has an awesome location and beautiful landscape outside and Great Lake views. Food is normal but the queue line is a bit unorganised and have to look into it though the outlet ambience is good.

A very old hotel with tatami-style rooms. The tatami floor and the carpeted area where the low table and seats were placed on did not seem to have been cleaned much as the floors felt pretty dusty/powdery and had heavy scent of dried straws. When I walked on the carpeted section of the room, I could feel something biting into my skin and skin started to feel itchy afterwards. The clothes closet was old and felt very filmsy. Judging from the level of upkeep of the hotel, we did not feel that the meals would be of good quality, so decided not to purchase the hotel meals. There are many eating places and a convenience shop within walking distance from the hotel. Could not have a relaxing stay as the room did not have any black out curtains, so I was woken up by very bright sunlight coming into the room as early as 3 a.m. It was so bright that I thought i had overslept and had missed my check-out time. The plus points of the hotel is that you do get direct view of the Lake Toya from your room and can use the large onsen baths which span 2 floors. You can also watch the free 20 mins nightly fireworks display on Lake Toya from the room balcony from (8:45pm-9:05pm, 28-Apr through 31-Oct 2023).

Clean and quiet hotel away from busy street. Great for road trip. Accessible via own drive. The hotel is located Up a slope so the view is really nice of the lake Toya. Nearby amano family farm where you can go for pizza and ice cream. No escalator if you stay on 2nd floor. There’s also a massage chair and free green tea

The hotel is situated near the Lake Toya. It is an onsen hotel (hotel which offer the traditional Japanese hot bath). It is set in a traditional Japanese peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a large foyer where free-flow of sake (Japanese rice wine) are offer for free for its guests. It is also near to some of Toyako-chu’a popular tourist spots, ie Hokkaido Toyako Summit Memorial Museum etc as well as restaurants.

We decided to spend one night in Tōya-ko on our way down to Hakodate and It was definitely worth it. Not only because of the beautiful scenery but also thanks to this hotel. It is definitely an old hotel, but in my opinion, it only added to the ,”traditional Japanese” vibe of the place. The room was very spacious for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids, and it was such a pleasant change to other new and modern yet very tiny hotels we normally stay at. Breakfast was excellent, with so many traditional dishes to choose from. And the onsen right in the hotel is another big plus. I'm not a huge fan of the onsen myself, but I absolutely loved the cave looking onsen and the one located outside. The whole hotel kind of reminded me of Ryokan. But what is hands downs the best about the place, is the view you get from your room, which is spectacular. The view of the lake Tōya and Mt Yōtei is simply breathtaking.

　Go Toキャンペーンが延期となり、札幌近くで静かに年末年始を過ごせるホテルとしてこちらにしました。　洞爺湖温泉の湖を挟んでほぼ反対側にありますから、本当に静かに寛げました。周辺にはコンビニも一軒だけしかなく、観光客もほとんどいません。　だからこそ新年の初日の出を部屋風呂から見たいと考えたのも理由の一つでした。　今年は数十年ぶりの寒波が来ており、札幌も吹雪のようでした。太平洋側に近い洞爺湖で、雲が流れましたが、私は大浴場の露天風呂から初日の出を見ることができました。　TripAdvisorでのホテルの口コミによると部屋付き露天風呂で、評価が分かれていました。確かに外から見えますが、まず人のいない寒村ということ、湯着が用意してあることで大丈夫かと思います。それよりも寒気の夜に冷たい月を眺めながらの入浴は別格の気分を味わえました。　海外資本のホテルなので、日本の温泉ホテルとは違うことを予め理解しておくと、リラックスできて素晴らしいです。来年の年越しもここで過ごしたいと考えています。良い点：①スタッフのホスピタリティー、日本人スタッフが増え、適度な距離感が素晴らしく感じました。私たちは2泊しましたが、スタッフの気持ちの伝わる言葉かけに気持ちが和らぎました。 ②食事はディナー2泊とも和食でした。出汁のきいた味がとても美味しかったです。メインの道産牛は昨年秋にニセコヒルトンでいただいたものと同レベルの美味しさでした。札幌の円山近辺だと10,000円前後のコースに値します。　朝食バイキングはるほどです。 ③大浴場の大きな窓と湯温のぬるさが、のんびりと洞爺湖の風景を楽しめました。 ④冬だとニセコにもルスツにも近い(冬の中山峠はスリップ事故が恐いので)です。どちらもスキーシーズンに2食付きでこの値段では、泊まれないです。改善点：①大浴場へ行くには、一度、屋外に出るのと脱衣場が寒かったです。寒波のせいもあるでしょうが、吹雪いた夜に浴衣は厳しいです。 ②北海道の温泉ホテルに多いのが、レストランもスリッパ可という点はいかがでしょうか？浴衣で行きたいという方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、ディナーはせっかくの雰囲気が残念です。このクラスのシティホテルでは、あり得ないのでしょうから。 ③部屋のレイアウトとして、ベッドの前に洗面台があるのは、日本人は慣れないかもしれません。特に私たちはトリプルベッドでしたので、冬の連泊だとスキーウェアでクローゼットも小さいことから手狭でした。　それでも総じて、食事、温泉、レストランやバー、スタッフのホスピタリティーと再訪したいリーズナブルなディナーズ・ホテルです。
