Trang is a sleepy rural town in southern Thailand that doesn’t have a huge amount to commend it; true, it is the home of the first ever rubber tree to enter Thailand, is well-known for its dim sum and particular style of a very tasty crispy pork - but It also possesses a one-way system which would baffle a London taxi driver and, once finally negotiated, bizarrely displays a sign stating ‘Trang Bypass Route this way’…. Having said that, it is certainly an excellent place for an overnight stop when motoring to or from Malaysia, and - having done it a few times now – I can certainly recommend the Ban Ao Thang hotel. Right in the centre of town adjacent to the railway station, it has masses of free parking outside and gives easy access to the local markets – and KFC! The rooms are basic rural Thai; somewhat depressing in decor but extremely clean and comfortable. What makes this hotel, however, is the bar life and restaurant. Situated on the veranda, the staff can mix an incredible array of cocktails, provide extremely well cooked food from a surprisingly large menu and – if that was not enough – entertain you with a one man band! The staff are of course extremely polite and obliging – as is generally the case in Thailand – and it is worth having a look at the contents of the hotels wine collection, another area of interest in this remarkable little hotel. Go - you won’t be disappointed.

โรงแรมค่อนข้างเงียบและผู้เข้าพักไม่มากเนื่องจากโรงแรมใหญ่มากจึงทำให้มีห้องว่างเยอะโดยรวมแล้วสะดวกสบายดี 

ที่พักสะอาด พนักงานต้อนรับน่ารักมาก ดูแลดี โดยเฉพาะเจ้าของ ไปส่งที่ห้องด้วยตัวเองเลย ห้องพักกว้างขวางมาก มีของใช้ครบ ที่สำคัญมีไดร์เป่าผมด้วย ถือว่าดีสุดๆ แอร์เย็นฉ่ำ น้ำไหลแรงสะใจมากๆ เตียงก็นุ่ม หลับสบายดี โดยรวมให้ผ่านและแนะนำให้มาพักที่นี่ (ที่จอดรถหายห่วงเลย เยอะจนเลือกจอดไม่ถูก)

จ่ายเงิน730 บาท ไม่มีอาหารเช้า ทิชชู่มีแค่ครึ่งม้วน น้ำ2ขวด จองห้อง no smoking แต่ห้องเหม็นบุหรี่มาก โดยเฉพาะในห้องน้ำ สติ๊กเกอร์รูปเท้าเพื่อการ social distancing ในลิฟท์ เหนียวติดรองเท้า แต่ทำเลดี ที่จอดรถค่อนข้างเยอะ

ห้องชั้นล่างดีมาก ชั้นบนอาจจะมีปัญหาเรื่องความชื้นเล็กน้อย ได้พักห้องชั้นล่างดีสะดวกมีอ่างอาบน้ำมีโซฟาให้เดินทางสะดวกแต่จะมีปัญหาเรื่องเสียงห้องข้างๆถ้ามีการปิดประตูเสียงดังมันจะได้ยินชัดมาก พนักงานมีเซอร์วิสมาย บริการดีมากเป็นกันเอง

Cet aparthotel situé dans une rue calme offre un ensemble de services hôteliers de qualité. Les chambres sont propres, spacieuses et lumineuses. Le lit est confortable et grand. En outre, il y a un parking pour ceux qui viennent en voiture. L'accueil est respectueux et donne les infos nécessaires pour ceux qui veulent découvrir Trang. Prix corrects.

Stayed here two nights. Location is very central, 15 minutes from Trang Airport and only 5 minutes to Shopping Center. Reception was friendly. We had a higher up room facing to Khao Pub Pha which make your life wonderful to wake up with these sunrise. The room was pretty spacious for a city hotel and well decorated. The bed was large and comfortable. Bathroom also good with nice toiletries. Breakfast was amazing both in quality and variety - lots of authentic Trang such as Khao Yum , Kha Nom Jeen Puk Tai as well with breads, pastries, fruits especially fried banana we love it. Highly recommended.

Great hotel right on the main road. Room was quite spacious. Liked the beginning of the 20th century industrial design features. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom is very big, but requires a bit of renovation. Nice balcony with garden view. The breakfast pretty good. Nice staff at the reception. Big parking lot. Nice restaurant is within walking distance from the hotel. All in all pleasant experience and good value for money.

My wife and I and our son recently went to Trang, Thailand and stayed at Kachong Hills Tented Resort. It is a beautiful and fantastic resort surrounded by lush greenery of natural forest, majestic mountain range in the backdrop and a well thought out landscaped garden that exudes a sense of tranquillity and delight. I find it very easy to go to the resort by car. On arrival, Winnie at the registration greeted us with a warm welcome and a refreshing drink. The guests servicing staff were very friendly and helpful with our luggages. Kudos to them, they gave me a rather pleasant and memorable impression. We stayed at the resort for 4 days and 3 nights from 8 to 11 August 24 and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The customer service was superb. We felt very relaxed to move around the resort. The foods at the restaurant were yummy and yet not too pricey. They were fresh, of high quality and well presented too. We were treated with many choices to please our palates. The customer service at the restaurant was excellent. Thanks to the many friendly and attentive staff like Map and others, but especially to Mos, the GM of the resort, he was very friendly and attentive to all our needs. Another plus to the resort was that it also provided us with a visit to the Kachong Hills Waterfalls nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the resort and would definitely recommend it to our family members and friends and anyone going for a holiday in Thailand.
