Great location with an amazing view of the lake. The breakfast was very good, helpful staff.

I was asking Scialatielli w clams I found a hair on it, so I sent the food back, I get another one, I don't think that I got a new because it was ready in 10 minutes, so I continued my lunch when I got another hair. The waitress said that the chef is bald but hairs are on the arms also. The funny from it it was when they brought the "invoice" the food was listed on the "bill" because you dont get bill only if you ask for it. The waitress didnt say sorry, and I ate very less still I need to pay. I think a this kinda restaurant with a 4 star hotel cant let this for themselves, the customers would have been the most important, they are living from the customers money. Its a big shame!

The hotel location was fantastic in the surrounding area is beautiful but it really is theft to charge somebody 500 euros and then give them a room that looks onto a roof. I was robbed!!! So you see any pictures on their website that look like that?

A wonderful hotel, centrally located in Varenna. Our junior suite, Manzoni, overlooked Lake Como. The views were both stunning and pleasant. Local church bells rang throughout the day…and occasionally, we heard someone singing opera in the distance. The room had everything we needed and more. The staff were friendly, informative, and professional. Morning breakfast was outstanding, and served with champagne. The hotel provides shuttle service to/from the ferry station and its concierge planned our dinner reservations for the 3 nights we were there (outstanding job as all 3 evenings out were perfect) . What more could one ask for—definitely 5 stars!

Extremely beautiful property on banks of lake como Open the window and gasp at the magnificent view of lake como From the room , you can see other towns in the distance Good size rooms but bathroom is tiny Which I guess is standard for Europe Extremely professional and courteous staff , very young staff and very helpful , anytime of the day , they go out of the way to help you even if your requests are not standard , the concierge ( sorry forgot his name ) was very helpful in arranging and booking lunch and dinner at various restaurants Very good spread at the breakfast table The girl who seats you and the staff at the breakfast area are very warm and always attentive

Firstly, the hotel is in the range of hundreds of euros per night. Given that, the hotel delivers. It is set in a beautiful heart of Varenna with nice views from most rooms. The room is relatively ample and the interior is very well designed with comfortable utilities and furniture. The reception stuff is very attentive and helpful and solved any problem the emerged as soon as possible. The restaurant is also recommended with excellent food and service. The only issue that can be mentioned is the service and rules of the bar on the lower floor, just in front of the small beach, not to mention the exaggerated prices (6-7 euros for a small-cup of capuchino, for example). This is an enough reason for losing one star.

We had a mixed experience at the hotel. Firstly, the hotel is great. The staff at the reception and concierge is very nice and helpful. The room is comfortable and since we took the lake view balcony room it was amazing. They have a very nice bar at the hotel with a nice poolside with some amazing views of lake Como. The location is also convenient just 10 mins from the train station. The only bad experience I had was today afternoon at their bar. They have a very weird rule that if you want to sit at the bar you have to order minimum 1 drink per person. I understand this rule is fair for outsiders but I think this rule shouldn’t be applicable for hotel guests. Anyways, my wife and I were sitting and the waiter came saying we cannot sit if we don’t order drinks. (This is when half the bar was empty btw). We told him no worries just bring us water, we’ll have that and immediately leave. First he refused but after that he said ok. But he didn’t bring us water for 25 minutes while he was still serving guests who even came after us. When I went up to complain at the bar, Daniele at the bar started shouting at me saying I need to be patient because it takes time! Huh? How much time for a glass of water? Then he started saying you should order 2 drinks instead of just 1. I think this completely ruined my experience of the hotel and this is not how guests should be treated. Especially when you’re charging around 800 USD per night. I mean , common! I even went up to complain at the reception about this but they didn’t really seem to care

We loved this hotel, we paid the extra and had a suite on the front to have a view of the lake, it was such a peaceful spot. The staff were lovely and the facilities great, the restaurant served really good food. The view of the lake is second to none, the hotel is easy to get to and in a good central location with cafe's, delis and laundromat close.

Had a wonderful vacation in this hotel! So beautiful and romantic. The breakfast was very good and Marco from the concierge was the best! He was very helpful and accomodating with all my inquiries. Very very nice guy!
