Very convenient situated, on walking distance of the airport terminal T1 and T2, as well as from the airport parking P2. The hotel has no car parking facilities. It's a large hotel, with a reception, bar and restaurant on the 5th floor, all very cosy. We enjoyed drinks at the bar, as well as from tasteful meal at the restaurant. The standard room is of normal size, the bathroom is rather small and sized for 1 person at the time. Surely recommend this hotel when travelling from the Cologne-Bonn airport.

Wir mussten leider einen very late check in machen (ca. 02:30), was aber überhaupt kein Problem war. Der Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten über Booking.com ein Zimmer für 3 Personen gebucht, das vor Ort leider nicht mehr verfügbar war. Wir wurden ganz unproblematisch und ohne Mehrkosten auf zwei Comfort-Doppelzimmer „verteilt“ und bekamen noch ein Getränk aus der Hausbar for free als Entschuldigung dazu. Die Zimmer selbst sind sehr gut ausgestattet und komfortabel. Das inbegriffene Frühstück war der „Hammer“ und sehr reichhaltig und vielfältig. Von uns absolut zu empfehlen. Ein Parkhaus gibt es gleich nebenan und hat uns nichts gekostet.

Erlebnis-Übernachtung mit Camping-Retro-Feeling! Tolle Idee (Indoor-Campingplatz mit alten Wohn-/Eisenbahnwagen, Wohnmobilen, und sogar einer Seilbahngondel) bis in kleinste Details liebevoll umgesetzt, z. B. mit passenden Sitzgruppen vor den Themen-Wohnwagen und Dekorationen. Gemeinschaft-Sanitäranlagen (wie beim Camping üblich) sind sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber, im Toilettentrakt null Mief und viel Papiervorrat. Frühstück gibt es auf einer großen eingebauten Empore, auch hier originelle Gestaltungsdetails, es ist relativ einfach gehalten, aber absolut ausreichend (ich habe eigentlich nur gekochte Eier vermisst) und ordentlich präsentiert, auch wird immer wieder kontrolliert, ob etwas fehlt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Und zuletzt stimmt auch noch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Wenn ich nochmal eine Übernachtsmöglichkeit im Raum Bonn benötige, komme ich auf alle Fälle sehr gerne wieder! Tipp: Vor der Buchung checken, ob Platz- und ”Komfort”-Angebot der gewählten Unterkunft auch den eigenen Ansprüchen und körperlichen Voraussetzungen entspricht. Zum Beispiel geht es in den alten Schlafwagenabteilen sehr eng zu, die Betten sind sehr schmal und bei Belegung mit 2 Personen muss einer sein Bett per Leiter erklimmen (so waren eben die alten Schlafwagen). Ich hatte das Abteil alleine gebucht, mir hat der Platz gereicht (bin ”Dackelgarage” und Isomatte gewohnt). :-)

Moderne und saubere Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist sehr gut, das Bad sauber und ruhig ist es auch. Die Betten sind auch genau richtig für mein Rücken. Ich habe mich mit meiner Tochter sehr wohl gefühlt. Haben nach dem Frühstück noch etwas im Bett gelungert.

We stayed at Steigenberger Hotel for one night, and at the entrance it was exactly how you would expect a five star hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, that can help you where and when needed. Though when we got to the room itself we had a little unpleasant surprise. The room itself was nice, good view over the Rhine and the interior is nice. But when I dropped my phone and it fell under the bed, I went to pick it up and underneath the bed was a dirty tissue with a substance on it that looked to be semen. Also when I shined my flashlight under it to take a video of it, I found a pair of socks from the previous guests. This indicates the room was not really cleaned properly. There also was a lot of dust on the bedside tables, and a lot underneath the bed (which I myself don’t mind as it’s a hard place to vacuum). Not really up to the high five star standard, but the rest was really good. Nice views with a good bed and spacious room. The Biergarten is also beautiful, especially at sunset. I have to give it 4/5 because of the stuff we found in the room, for the rest it was a very pleasant stay.

Sure its a great hotel and people are very nice, rooms are great and sure its a beautiful hotel but...... Its big, Big building and many rooms so the Spa is allways occupied and restaurants booked. We had our breakfast list outside our door but it wasn't delivered. After waiting en called and it to another hour to reach our room. Coffee and eggs Benedict was cold. The we came to our room in the evening the trolley with the remains of our breakfast was still parked in front of our door. The next morning we discovered that there was no refill of coffee and sucker. Doest fit the signs at the front door SUPERIOR

The pluses and negatives of this hotel are: Good Points: Premium location, the hotel is only a short 10 min walk down the hill and to the right from the station bringing you to a quiet courtyard 1 block back from the main Heumarkt square (left hand side of the square) A modern, boutique sized hotel Comfy bed Quiet from an outside noise perspective, especially given its next to the main bar / restaurant areas of Cologne Clean Negatives Pillows too soft Double rooms very compact with minimal storage space for luggage Walls very thin, you can hear every conversation clearly of your neighbours Continental breakfast at 15 euro was overpriced imo for the choice available if not included in room rate No bar/relaxation area to sit in, if you are wanting to use hotel facilities to relax No tea/coffee making facilities in room, kettle available on request Walk in shower was nice but as bathroom is so small you end up having a slippy floor, and be careful of the floor rails where the glass shower panel runs as raised and easy to trip over Mini bar was empty other than 2 complimentary bottles of water (not that we usually purchase from mini bar) but worth noting if you do Overall on a personal note we paid a high room rate for our particular 2 night break due to it been a peak weekend of events going on in Cologne which were unknown to us when we originally booked the flights and decided on this hotel. It was not worth 500 euros, I would say 350 / max 400, and this is mainly due to the location. Perfectly functional for a short break at the right price.

I stayed for 2 nights on a trip through Europe. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Cologne Cathedral. What I liked: The great location. The friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. Great Breakfast with lots on offer. Easily accessible. The bed was comfortable. What I didn’t like: The room I was given was tiny with no window. It was so so hot and sadly that affected my sleep. The room had air conditioning but it didn’t work and just circulated hot air. However, the kind man on reception offered me another room, but I was already settled and for such a short stay didn’t want to pack everything up again. Regardless of that, I’d be happy to stay here again and the price I paid was incredibly reasonable, being so close to the centre of the city.

Hygien, room, bed, quietness everything was great except that I got this problem with the receptionists. So I did explain to all the receptionist (that I saw-because I understand they work in shifts) that I lost 2 luggages due to the airline's mistake and airline will send them to this hostel where I would be staying (for 1 night only). I explained that if someone sent luggages here, please tell me asap because I needed to catch a train to Amsterdam the nextday noon. Imagine 35kg of personal belongs just dissapeared, I didnt have toothbrush, clean clothings.... I reminded them everything 3-4 hours when I saw a receptionist. After almost 27 hours of waiting in worry (which made me cannot enjoy the city), I talked to one receptionist to please check 1 more time becauze the airlines mailed me that they did send to the hostel at 4:30pm in the day I checked-in hostel, (only 4-5 hours after my flight time), she let me go it the luggage room and my luggages were there the whole time! So I waited in pain for 22 hours for nothing. I think it would be a bit obvious when 1 guy in delivery company uniform went in with 2 luggages and said ”this is from one of your customer.” But the receptionist just forgot it quickly and didnt tell me. I had to change a lot of my plan and I was feeling terible and stressful with the waiting and fear of lost luggages.
Beside that, the condition of rooms, facilities, warm water, sound proof windows were great.

PPengguna TetamuOur honeymoon trip took us here for the first night. We wanted to stop in Cologne to see some sights the next morning, This was a perfect location just off the motorway, and only 20 minutes back in to Cologne. When we arrived, the staff member that saw us in was pleasant, satisfactory English, but seemed to lack any personality, like she was bored. The restaurant in the hotel was closed when we arrived, when we queried this, we were told its a breakfast only facility. I asked for some recommendations for the local area to get some dinner, I was handed an A4 sheet with multiple eateries. My Wife and I like to read some reviews before going, and found only a couple out of the whole list was on Google or Trip Advisor, so not the most helpful. OK if your not bothered though. Dimitri Grill up the road, about 20 minute walk, I highly recommend this place! (Reviewed separately) The room was pleasant, odd shape, clean and comfortable. It had a safe, sofa and chairs, bed was hard, which was nice. The shower was amazing, could have stayed in there all day. The room however was only made up for one person, we had to call down to get more bedding and towels. These turned out to be single duvets only. The hotel don't stock double or king, only singles. There was a coffee and tea facilities however the kettle is only useable under the wall mounted TV, so the steam and heat goes in to the TV, the coffee was not nice at all, and again was only made up to be enough for one. Car park was odd, its free to get in with a barrier that goes up automatically when you move towards it, however to get you need a token from reception to leave. The staff did remind us of this, however there was no check on if we were guests or not. If your a light sleeper due to light, take an eye mask as the curtains are as thin as cotton. If your looking for a pamper, or some fluffy stuff, this is not the hotel. This is purely a business hotel, or a bed and go kind of hotel.

ZZoe TWe arrived here with friends for the Euros on Friday and just wanted to give credit where due. The staff have been welcoming and friendly, the rooms are spacious and spotless and the breakfast is beautiful with something for everyone. The location is perfect for getting into Cologne and anywhere else as the train station and bus station are a minutes walk away. We have not been disturbed by the traffic noise despite having a front room. Would highly recommend this hotel

Hôtel dans la grande banlieue de Cologne. Situé au dessus de la gare , on rejoint facilement les villes de Cologne, Bonn ou Coblence ou l aéroport de Cologne / Bonn Chambres / locaux impeccables rien à dire , literie ok. J avais pris l option late Check out donc la possibilité de quitter la chambre à 14h00. J avais mis le fanion « do not disturb » , ma femme de chambre est venue frapper à la porte à 10h30 et elle est revenue une heure plus tard, cela m a réveillé !!!!! Je ne comprends pas pourquoi on prend des options à la réservation qu elle ne soit pas prise en considération. Éviter les chambres côté de la voie de chemin de fer un peu bruyantes Bien penser à réserver le parking accessible par la rampe fermé et sécurisé situé à l arrière de l hôtel

PPengguna TetamuWir haben das Hotel gewählt, weil am Folgetag unser Flug vom Flughafen Köln-Bonn früh gestartet ist! Das Hotel liegt in Bahnhofnähe….Der Flughafen ist mit dem Zug in knapp 15 Minuten erreicht! Der Empfang im Hotel war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Unser Zimmer recht groß….das Bad hatte eine passende Größe. Wir haben ruhig und gut geschlafen. Ein Vorteil: schräg gegenüber ist eine Pizzeria….dort war es extrem lecker!

PPengguna TetamuAnlässlich einer Trauerfeier hatten wir kurzfristig zwei Einzelzimmer gebucht. Überzeugend sind die zentrale Lage, die gute Parkmöglichkeit in der zum Hotel gehörenden Tiefgarage und das günstige Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Platzverhältnisse in der Garage sind auch für einen Mittelklassewagen eng, der Raum ist sehr gut ausgeleuchtet, sodass das Rangieren nicht schwer fällt. Beiden Einzelzimmer waren sauber, zweckmäßig eingerichtet und ausreichend groß. Guter Schlafkomfort in den Betten. Kleines zweckmäßig ausgestattetes Bad. Ausreichendes, gutes Frühstücksangebot, freundliches Personal.
