This hotel has it’s pros & cons: Pros: *friendly very helpful staff *beautiful lobby *well appointed spacious rooms, nicely decorated *concierge services at front desk for motorcycle rental, tour tickets, etc *shower separate from toilet, nice bathroom *nice views off 2 balconies from room, making room light and airy *free breakfast *strong air conditioning in room Cons: Only Two - the Noise & unreliable in-room wifi VERY noisy hotel. Of all the places we stayed in Asia, this was the noisiest! We believe it was a combination of factors such as: *main clientele are families with children, so there is lot of noise from the kids *the structure of the hotel is such that you can hear noise from many floors on your floor because of the open tiled corridor in the middle of hotel from ground to roof. So we can hear kids running around screaming and playing on lobby floor (or some floor, who knows), doors slamming, people arguing from our 6th floor room #604. Sounds dubious but it’s a fact. *if you have a view room (ie their premium rooms) you are over the pool. This means a lot of pool noise. It doesn’t sound like from 6 floors up, it sounds like it’s right outside your balcony. *And lastly, hotel’s poor attitude towards the noise - we only complained once during a 5 NIGHT STAY about the kids noise when it was getting late and kids were literally screaming and running around. But when we called to complain, the reception said sorry but these families are on vacation too! Really!?! So you let kids run the hallways playing tag or whatever they want screaming at will?? That really sealed it for us. *another eg: one night at ~01:00am, a couple got into a heated arguement on some floor, with the man screaming at her at the top of his lungs - it actually sounded violent. After 10 minutes of this we finally called the front desk. No Answer. OK, I guess we should’ve expected that. It lasted 20 mins before they finally stopped and went into their room slamming the door. Unreliable in-room wifi: it was essentially non existent. When we asked, they said to just leave the door ajar or open to get it! Really!?! We tried ajar, but it didn’t work still and we were 9t about to prop our door open while we live there, so we essentially had to go to the lobby to access internet as even cellular data was not good in room. So for us at least, we cannot stay here again because despite the lovely accommodations, we could not relax with all the noise that is tolerated here and we need in-room wifi that works.
