Kien Thao Hotel

Walked in and got room 302 for 350,000 VND. They don’t set the water boiler in room but I can borrow from the Reception. I had to place the garbage box on the tea table to use the boiler as the socket is too high. There are 2 sockets at the bed head and they are high too. I borrowed one more blanket as the room has aircon but no heater mode. A room having heater costs 500,000 VND. Basic toiletries are provided. 2 free bottles of water. No toilet paper. 2 big towels. 2 small towels. Hot water is very good. The tank for hot water in the shower room has strange sounds when it’s boiling water. It sounds like it’s going to crack. I have viewed some rooms in another hotel. In one more hotel, there is no Reception staff as they stop working before ***** New Year. 2 more hotels are full. When I entered Kien Thao, there was a Reception staff at the counter which is a plus these days. The ***** New Year will start in 2 more days (22 Jan 2023) so everywhere most businesses stop. The building of Kien Thao looks quite good compared with other hotels in town and it’s slightly far from town center. They have an elevator too.
