We stayed 4 nights and had a great stay. The rooms and especially the pool look exactly like the pictures and are stunning. Our stay was quiet in terms of other guests as the hotel is not 100% up and running yet (no in-house restaurant and gym but were offered to use the facilities of the neighboring hotel) which we loved as we had the huge pool all to ourselves :-). You should be aware that the area around the hotel (Aldea Zama) is separated from the ”center” by an area that you should not walk through at night - so you have to rely on (expensive) cabs or a car to get around at night - not the responsibility of the hotel, but an issue of many areas in Tulum to be aware of!

I usually don’t leave reviews, but after this wild experience, I had no choice. I was absolutely disgusted by the treatment I received at this hotel. I booked the hotel for a women’s retreat and interacted with 3 different people over the course of my time at the hotel. The first person checked us in and I informed him that Oke of the participants had COVID and wouldn’t be attending and the other person would be staying with me to nanny for my child. He said okay he would let the manager know and they would remove it from the bill. He took a deposit for the 5 rooms ($50 per day). He told us breakfast was served at the sister hotel, Zenses and we should eat there after yoga in the morning. He also informed us that while the website says bikes are complimentary, they don’t offer bikes and the beach is actually an hour away, not 30 minutes! What the hell? The next day, another woman asked for the remaining balance on the room. I asked if that was customary because I am used to paying that upon departure and she said yes, so I paid the balance. The day before our departure, I interacted with a 3rd woman who was very rude, impatient and said she was charged two rooms that weren’t even in my party for breakfast. I told her breakfast was included. I asked for her name. She refused to give it to me so I sent a screenshot of her to the manager and he failed to respond. She called the manger and both of them very rudely said breakfast was not included and told me they would be charging me for the room my nanny didn’t use and for breakfast, even though it was included. I requested a print out of my payment. They couldn’t provide it for a while and finally provided a document that was inaccurate I challenged them and questioned them over and over and they failed to address the issue or provide any type of resolve. I also advocated for bikes and when we took them out, the pedal fell off and we had to rely on the help of strangers to get us back because no one at the hotel was willing to come get us or support the issue. In addition, our rooms were not cleaned daily, despite the multiple requests. I had to come and get tissue, washcloths and empty the trash. Absolutely terrible service! I have been going back and forth with the “owner” for a while and he has ceased responding because there is 0 accountability. There’s also construction across the street constantly and wild dogs running around, it’s just not worth it. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! IT’S NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!!

Location: We stayed at una vida for my mums birthday in February. I was a bit apprehensive initially as I knew the hotel wasn’t close to the hotel zone and main touristy areas and was having second thoughts about the location. Once arriving however, I realised I 100% made the right decision. While not close to the hotel zone, the location is perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing and quiet holiday ( and not looking to go to the beach every single day!). You can easily walk into town ( 15mins) to get to the shops and restaurants and the beach is a 20 min drive. It is a bit expensive for a taxi (600 pesos/ 30gbp one way) but we were prepared to pay this since we didn’t go to the beach every day and much preferred the location of our hotel. The hotel kindly arranged taxis for us whenever I asked. Food: The food was delicious at the hotel. I did find some dishes slightly salty but this wasn’t a major issue. While breakfast was included with our stay, this only comprised of 3/4 dishes from the entire breakfast menu. This was fine at first but since we were staying for 7 days, it did get a bit boring and repetitive so we began paying for dishes from the rest of the menu. We went to the sister hotel ( less than a min walk) for drinks which were really tasty. Staff: All the staff were super friendly but a massive shout out to Fer who went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. He was so friendly and always had a smile on his face. He gave us some great recommendations on places to go and some great tips/advice too. He also arranged an excursion for us and always messaged me on WhatsApp to keep me informed throughout our stay. Fer definitely made our stay here even better! Room: We stayed in a one-bedroom room ( 3 adults). The room had plenty of space for us all - it included a room with a big double bed and balcony and then a kitchen/ living area with a smaller sofa bed. There was another balcony here and a stove, fridge and table. I loved how spacious the rooms were! Pool: There were two pools we could access, one at una Vida and one at bardo the sister hotel. While the pool at bardo was bigger I found the one at una Vida was always much warmer. Towels are provided and there’s plenty of day beds to sit around and relax.

DDayTrip105119The bed is comfortable, clean, spacious, and the ocean view is picturesque. The restaurant is phenomenal!! Carlos served me food and drink on the beach and gave great service. Abraham was amazing and gave me a little souvenir at my last breakfast. Everyone is so kind. They even accommodated the chefs meal for myself and another solo traveler which was very thoughtful and appreciated. I would recommend to anyone to choose the beautiful boutique hotel!!
Beautiful boutique hotel with a kind team of workers! It feels like a little hidden gem tucked away off the beaten path. This hotel was my favorite part of my trip! Nicole at the front desk was very welcoming! The size of their suites is very generous and it's nice to have the space to spread out and relax. I loved having a full-sized kitchen area and they provide you with utensils, cookware, dishes, and everything you need to feel at home. The bed was on the firm side but very comfortable and it was nice to have separate air conditioning units in the bedroom and living room. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my breakfast was included each morning because I booked directly on their website. At the time I'm writing this taxis into centro town were around $200 - $300 pesos from this area and a taxi into the hotel zone ran around $40 - $50 US. I would absolutely come back!
PPengguna TetamuTucked away in the bustling heart of Tulum, the Muare Hotel effortlessly transports its guests into a world of serene tranquility and unparalleled luxury. The moment you cross the threshold, it's as though you've stepped into a different realm, a realm where design aesthetics blend harmoniously with the natural beauty of Tulum. Each room at the Muare Hotel is a testament to the sublime fusion of comfort and style. The addition of an outdoor shower offers a revitalizing bathing experience beneath the open sky. Whether bathing under the warmth of the morning sun or under the cool gaze of the evening stars, the outdoor shower truly is a delightful touch. Further adding to the bespoke experience is a personal plunge pool that is a part of every room. A secluded sanctuary for rejuvenation, it allows guests to enjoy a soothing dip at their convenience. Additionally, the hotel's main pool, an epitome of artistic design, serves as an inviting hub for social interaction and relaxation. The wellness journey at the Muare Hotel is underscored by its serene spa, a haven where guests can unwind and experience revitalizing treatments. It's a sanctuary where self-care takes precedence, and tranquility is guaranteed. The dining experience at Muare Hotel is a gastronomic adventure led by the hotel’s remarkable restaurant, Gaudea. Marrying Mexican and Mediterranean cuisines in an exquisite fusion, Gaudea ensures a culinary voyage that appeals to every palate. A testament to their inclusivity is the thoughtful gluten-free menu, promising that every guest can savor this journey without compromise. The Brown Butter Fish with Toasted Almonds, in particular, stands out for its delightful balance of flavors, a must-try for any guest. In summary, the Muare Hotel, Tulum, is more than a luxurious stay; it's a holistic experience. The thoughtfully designed rooms, top-notch amenities, sumptuous cuisine, and the overall ambiance of serenity make it a destination in itself. For any traveler visiting Tulum, I strongly recommend the Muare Hotel. It's not just a hotel, it's a journey into a realm of luxury and tranquility. An unmissable gem, Muare Hotel stands as a testament to a perfect blend of style, comfort, and culinary artistry.
PPengguna TetamuA+++ Family Vacation (2 Adults, 3 Kids – 4, 5 and 7). You should not hesitate to book this super lux spot for your next vacation. We chose Conrad Tulum because it was on the CN Traveler best places to go. It did not disappoint. No way for the resort to be any more lux/beautiful or service to be better. Pictures are real and in some cases don’t do the place enough justice. Place is brand new. Further, the “kids club” was critical to our vacation. Shamara, Sehem, Ivette and Ruth all jointly run the kids club. It is a mix of indoor and outdoor activities from 945am-5pm (lunch with parents at Noon). Making pinatas, painting, reading, traditional Mexican art/crafts alongside pool (there is a specific pool about 2.5 feet-3 feet deep which is great for young children), beach, watersport, treasure hunts around the resort, etc. This is a very curated program for kids, exceptional in every aspect and also customizable based on what the kids may want to do. My kids are begging to return. Thank you to the staff at the kids club! Some other outstanding parts of the resort include morning wellness activities on the beach (Rafael is wellness coach speak to him on arrival for schedule/info) and the breakfast restaurant which has countless stations servicing traditional Mexican food cooked to order in front of you by chefs as well as a plethora of recognizable American breakfast items. It is a showstopper. Rivals the best breakfasts at the worlds finest hotels. Other restaurants on site (pan Asian, Japanese, Mexican, etc) are all superb. Guacamole, coconuts, champagne, wines all delivered poolside, beachside, etc. All the fine service you would expect. Some suggestions for the future as the hotel is brand new. Fix (or get a new) ATM that dispenses Mexican Peso so Americans can tip your exceptional staff in pesos without paying a silly exchange rate at the front desk. For the watersports company on the beach they need high end equipment to match the character of the hotel. For example, snorkel equipment must be the “dry” snorkels and they should have goggle defogger on site and used prior to each swim – price should be raised to accommodate this. Oscar is the local snorkel guide and he is REALLY GOOD. There is a massive set of coral reefs with tons of fish (some as big as sharks) outside the hotel but accessible only with the best equipment. (bring your own better yet!). Childrens food at the hotel/poolside could improve so that the kids have healthy and LOCAL choices (fruit/veg as sides, fun kid local fruit drink, less of the burger/chicken stuff that is on every menu in the USA). Guacamole ice cream cones (made from tortilla chips, delivered as fun snacks for free every day which the kids loved) were amazing and that should be on the menu! Finally, there are some comments about sea****. They have huge crews that come clean it up every morning (done by about 9/10am). Its not a nuisance. Probably by the time you wake its all gone and you never know its there. It
We were overcharged by this hotel and they refuse to refund even though I have provided all the receipts to back up this claim. Total overcharge was $173 for 6 nights. They claim that there is a special ”hotel exchange rate” although the exchange rate fluctuated only a few pennies during our stay. I will never stay at another IHG hotel in Mexico and I will surely be sure to see if this particular group owns any place I stay at in the future. With this review, I hope to deter folks in the direction of hopefully other honest businesses in the area. CHECK THE BILL AND THE EXCHANGE RATE!!
PPengguna TetamuVery clean and close to the center. The only concern is that you need to pay for a taxi every time you need to go somewhere. They offer bike service at reception for $300 pesos but I think they should include it for free for the guests. Service at pool was poor. They only had a young lady that was not helpful at all. She didn’t want to prepare a piña colada because she didn’t have the Bacardi.:(
Terima kasih semua!
I think Selina in Tulum is a very great hostel. It is not a social hostel (i can only state about low season, september) and it feels more like a beach club/resort then a hostel. The MIA beach club was inactive as I was there, but therefore was free to access. The beach is amazing, directly in front of the hotel! The room was good, nothing special. The price is the only critic I would have. It feels like the hostel uses the „high-price“-attitude of its area. It could be half the price and it would be perfect. This is true for the rooms and also breakfast, 12€ for a mexican breakfast is just to much.
DDandI started out in my younger days staying at 3 star hotels working myself up to 5 star hotels these days. On this recent weekend trip i held back on my post xmas spending and got a great deal at Kore so I took a chance on it despite all the negative reviews. I think the 1 out 5 star ratings are ridiculously unfair. Rooms were big, clean, and comfy. Location was decent and had great views of the sea. I only had breakfast as I like to get out and explore, so I couldn't tell you much about the quality of food. The waiters were good, as soon as I sat down, my coffee was poured. After they recognized I tip, I never had to wait in line to get my omelets...lol. best part was the service from the front desk concierge (the Mexican soap opera looking guy) Victor. Dude was always so nice and helpful. Upon checkout, I had a late flight out, he knew that I love bike riding, so he let me keep my bracelet to have access until my shuttle arrived. I did not experience most of the issues on these reviews. English speaking staff was a challenge, but i found that was an issue everwhere I was in Tulum. Overall, if you were to go by the strict AAA guidelines, this hotel would probably recieve a 3-3.5 rating and closer to a 4 by the generous booking sites. This was no Hyatt, but a good value. Dont let those 1 star ratings discourage you.
My rating does not include the quality of food...
PPengguna TetamuI stayed in Hotel Blanco Tulum for my bithday and I had an amazing time!! Hotel was clean, the room had AC and was right the way I wanted it. The staff was really nice and accomodating. They made a very nice surprise for me on my day and they added a very personal touch. The bartender, Lucas, made very good drinks ant the pool was very relaxing. As a solo woman traveler I felt safe and it's a very important aspect of my trip. I struggled a little with communicating with the staff since I am not fluent in spanish.
