Pendant votre séjour à l'Hotel El Oumara, visitez Monument to Ibn Khaldoun (0,7 km), une attraction bien connue de Tunis. I liked the location and the staff at this hotel. I disliked the basic rooms, lack of hairdryer, poor amenities and lack of soundproof. I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Its central location was convenient for accessing city amenities. Check-in was efficient, and payment with a card was accepted. Staff was amazing, very kind and professional, always smiling and ready to help. However, the rooms are basic, lacking soundproofing. I could hear water flowing through pipes, noise from breakfast preparation, and experienced a persistent humming from the ceiling in room 101, possibly from the air conditioning. After relocating to room 401, the lack of noise improved, though bring your earplugs. There is a space under your door and you can hear your neighbors closing doors, walking, breathing. The breakfast selection was minimal, consisting mainly of bread, butter, one egg, kids juice, coffee and milk. On the last night, the elevator was out of order, causing disruptive noise until morning. The lack of amenities and noise disturbances affected the overall quality of my stay. Despite the convenient location, clean rooms, the value for money was questionable.

The location was excellent, right off the main avenue Bourguiba. The room was a decent size and had a balcony and bathroom. There was a breakfast included which was nice, but it’s a more European style (no full English etc). The man on reception was exceptionally nice but the door staff just ignored you. Room was mostly clean except a few hairs on the bedsheets.

** Not Recommended** 2 STAR HOTEL AT BEST Visited the lobby cafe for coffee. The order was forgotten. Received the order on the second request, finished the coffee, and was about to leave only to be abused and accused by THE SECURITY GAURD for not ordering anything. Asked for the Manager and was told by the DOOR MAN that he is busy and cant come, without even asking him to come. Day 2 - Tried to give it another go as i have a meeting nearby; Told the reception that the lobby is ridden with mosquitoes and he just smiled it off. Killed a mosquito and took it to him and asked if he can spray the area. It seems to be ignored.

The hotel is newly opened, modern and clean. The staff is helpful and management is doing wonderful job paying attention to details. Food not that good and options are limited. Clean and comfortable standard rooms. Location is at city center, good for business and tourism.

La Tunisia è decisamente economica. Per mangiare, fare benzina, shopping… Gli hotel, però, non sono proprio regalati. Almeno, non se si prenota dall’Italia, tramite Booking e cercando un minimo di rapporto qualità/prezzo. Questo albergo, a dieci minuti a piedi da Porte de France e, quindi, dall’ingresso della Medina, ha un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo ed è perfetto per girare la città. Le camere - noi avevamo una tripla - sono ampie e funzionali. I letti comodi. Il bagno grande e ben organizzato. Buono anche il livello igienico e varia la colazione compresa nel prezzo. Unica cosa, forse, migliorabile il segnale Wi-Fi nelle stanze. La reception è aperta h24 e per chi viaggia in macchina poco distante c’è un parcheggio a pagamento custodito. Consigliato.

Pros : Location was great. Quick check-in and check-out. Breakfast was many selections and tasty Cons : I couldn’t sleep well because of loud noise from the outside during the night.

Great location and very kind staff, let me check in early and left me in peace for the duration of my stay. Hotel is a little dated and amenities are a little basic but it’s cosy and has nice views. Balcony door didn’t open but wasn’t too much of an issue. For the price and location this is a good option.

Négatifs: Les moquettes sont sales et tachées comme les sièges du restaurant. Les prestations ”quad” et ”bateau pirate” sont médiocres et hors de prix. Les vrais pirates sont dans l'hôtel...A éviter... La restauration est très cafétéria de supermarché. Quoique certains supermarché font bien mieux. Le prix de la semaine est bien trop élevé au vue des prestations et du pays. Le touriste doit payer et il font tout pour. Positifs : Le personnel est en majorité sympathique. Les piscines sont peu profonde (1m) mais agréables. La plage est en contact avec l'hôtel.
