Hotel berhampiran Long Sands Beach, Tynemouth

Truthfully this was a panic-booking! After LNER cancelled every train moving southbound from Newcastle, I just chose the cheapest place I could find in the city I was stranded in. With easyHotel, check-in was super seamless even though we had to wait a little bit in queue. Receptionists were friendly and helpful, and walked us through check-in and check-out. Arriving in our room, it was definitely cozy but it absolutely did the job for what we needed for the night! It was clean, bed was comfortable, there was television for entertainment, a table and a chair if you need them, toilet was spotless, and shower had wonderful water pressure. We were even allowed to order in food from Deliveroo at two separate occasions, which we thoroughly appreciated after a long and disappointing journey of cancelled trains and bitter weather. We had a fun dinner in our room while watching rugby, it just made for such an enjoyable stay! We slept really well and got freshened up for a new day with no hassle at all. Check-out was, of course, seamless once again and once we got out of easyHotel in the daylight we came to appreciate the stunning scenery of Newcastle we were nestled in! The location was surprisingly so nice, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect accidental stay to a new city. It definitely relieved so much of our tiredness and disappointment from the previous day. Definitely a 10/10, would recommend you to stay in at easyHotel if you're planning a short trip or a cheap alternative ♡

Stayed at The Grand Hotel for 3 nights with breakfast. Only a short bus ride or car ride away from Sunderland train station and easy to find as it’s on the beach front with walking distance to restaurants and cafes and amusement arcades. There is also a Morrisons which is only a 5 min walk from the hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the hotel is very clean with everything you need in your room from ironing board trouser press iron hairdryer tea and coffee kettle a safe phones and a huge tv. There is also a gym a large swimming pool and sauna and steam room and a jacuzzi hot tub. Loved my stay here and I will defo be back! Soon I hope 😃😃

Very competitive prices for an overnight stay, only issue the food they serve here is very average and overpriced for what you get.

Great location as easy access just off A1. Pleasant staff. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Dog friendly hotel.

Stayed in a family room which was small but had everything we needed. Location was good, just 10 minute walk into city. Breakfast was included and had a good selection. The receptionist was really friendly, chatting to the kids and making them laugh. There was a reasonably priced car park right next door. We would definitely stay here again.

I organised a stay here for 19 people, from start to finish staff were extremely helpful with all matters. The rooms were perfect and better than what you’d expect from a hostel. We weren’t bothered by staff although having a large group of boys there for a stag do. Any queries we had throughout the weekend were answered by staff mostly Jade who was excellent with us all weekend not only helping us with advice about Newcastle and booking taxis but also having a laugh at the same time. I’d struggle to book somewhere else when I return to Newcastle.

This is a fantastic guest house. It’s in a very central location near the shops, pubs , restaurants and beach. We had a very warm welcome and were told about nearby pubs and restaurants. There is a great information pack giving lots of valuable information. The room was so smart, spacious with a comfy bed and quality bed linen. The bathroom has lots of toiletries in case you’ve forgotten any. It’s spotless and stylish. The breakfast was first class with lots of choice . Can’t wait to come back.

這家酒店性價比很高，具體體現在： 1. 離Sunderland火車站和公交車大站走路5分鐘左右，處於市中心，且走路2分鐘就能到bridges商場，周邊也有很多餐廳的選擇。 2. 由於是2022年新建的酒店，所以設施都很新很現代化，房間也比較乾淨。作為略有潔癖的我來説，是比較滿意的，但是枕頭上有一些不明污漬，所以我換上了自己的枕巾。設施給4星的原因是隔音效果太差，凡是經過門口的人講話能聽得一清二楚，不過晚上睡覺倒是比較安靜的。 3. 早餐選擇真的不多，到第二天大家都感覺吃膩了。價格也不算便宜，所以我個人不太建議在酒店吃自助早餐。 4. 酒店員工是比較友好的，也比較樂於助人。 總結：如果以後再去桑德蘭，肯定會考慮再住在這邊。（附圖為我住的酒店房間+酒店周邊拍的照片）

A friend who was also staying at the hotel had an accident away from the hotel. He tripped over a paving kerb cutting his head. The reception staff were very helpful in cleaning the cut and supplying plasters.
