The promises on their site and the reviews are not aligned at all. We walked into room 1 and were greeted by the smell of mould. Opening our door revealed extensive moisture damage throughout the room, dirty walls, mould in all the framed pieces, paint / plaster lifting from moisture in the walls, the bathroom was in an appalling state with mould or something like that growing on the toilet seat, mould in the cupboards, skirtings were swollen and moulded, the one single bed mattress (of the two pushed together) was collapsed to such a point that we had to share a single bed. The ceiling is sagging due to moisture. When trying to call the owner to have a look at the room there was no answer or any staff to assist. One of the gardeners took me to her house to get a hold of her. She was annoyed by the fact that I had a problem with the room and could not believe that what I was saying was true. Walking to our room - over a deck i such disrepair, I stepped through a plank to which she just said “whoopsie”, on our way she also said that “we have a guy doing our mould and all mould has been treated recently”. She continued to argue with every piece of “evidence of mould” scratching with her nails at even the gross toilet seat and not washing her hands after that, telling me “this is just used” “this is not mould” “this is just dirt” “this is something else”. We did get to move to a cleaner and less moldy room bit we should not have been placed in that unsafe health risk of a room to start with.
