UBPOD-The First of Capsule Hotel in Mongolia

I booked 5 days for double room, I thought it's with window like the pictures show on booking platform, unfortunately no. The location not close to the central, but you can take the bus to most of the attractions place. And no laundry provide, the hotel only have self use washing machine. The room are spacious, but no heater, too cool in winter. The hot water shower need to waiting couple of minutes, and the water pressure too weak. End up the owner modified my stay, I only stay 2 days, and change to another hotel.

Really Disappointing Communication, But Decent Hostel Overall I contacted the hotel through Trip.com a week before my arrival but they never responded. I also sent two direct emails with no reply, and when I tried calling, the number didn’t work, not even when a Mongolian with a local SIM card tried. They claim to offer a shuttle service, but my request was ignored, then rejected bia trip.com, and I had to arrange my own transport. Only ONE HOUR BEFORE my flight departed did they finally message me saying they could arrange it, which was far too late to be useful. Also they couldn't be trusted at all. Communication and customer service were extremely extremely poor. Wondering if they ignore requests on purpose and they just cant be bothered replying to emails and messages? My check-in was quite late, around 1:00 am, and since their website says check-in is only until midnight, I just wanted confirmation it was okay, but they ignored all my messages. That said, the hostel itself is decent. The capsule beds are comfortable, even though my USB charger did not work. The showers are ok, and breakfast was ok too. Special thanks to the morning reception ladies who were kind and helped me get a Unitel SIM card. To be noted that it is not even allowed to drink alcohol in the lobby, not even to quietly have a beer with someone else. I understand it is not a party hostel, but this rule feels a bit exaggerated. Left after 1 night and went somewhere else where they offered a much better service

I stayed twice here during my time in Monglia. Check in was super easy. Staff makes daily diffrent breakfast. They store luggages if needed when you go on an overnight trip or explore the city after you check out. They have an amazing Gameroom with one of the most beautiful chest boards ive come across. Would defently stay again.

I had a pleasant stay at UBPOD. The location is very good and convenient, especially during winter, with easy access to the city. Having an ATM on the ground floor was very helpful, and there are plenty of food places nearby. The capsules were clean and comfortable, and overall it was good value for money.

The capsules they have here are made of plastic and whilst they look quite fun, compared to other style capsules they are noisy and uncomfortable. A lot of the capsule experience is down to other guests, and unfortunately the ones whilst I was there were very noisy and inconsiderate of other guests. I got maybe two to there hours sleep a night whilst I stayed there: the double pods may be good in some circumstances but when the guests in them are talking, singing and playing drunken games when others are trying to sleep it’s not so good. I checked out a few days early and went to a different place to stay. I would no stay again and I would not book another capsule with the plastic pods.

Comfortable & clean. Great location. Helpful staff. ATM downstairs, minimarket next door and restaurants nearby.
