"Fantastic stay in Ulaanbaatar – highly recommended! Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. For a hotel right in the city center during peak season, the price was super reasonable. The room is well-maintained and the decor still feels quite fresh and modern. The location is absolutely perfect. It is within easy walking distance to all the main tourist spots in Ulaanbaatar, such as Sukhbaatar Square, the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, and the State Department Store. Given that traffic in downtown Ulaanbaatar is notoriously bad, walking is definitely much faster than taking a car! I was also impressed by the comprehensive range of toiletries provided. Everything you could possibly need—toothpaste, a comb, a razor, and a shower cap—was all there, and they even included a sewing kit! The staff speak fluent English, making communication a breeze. They were also incredibly helpful—after I checked out to head to Terelj National Park, they kindly assisted me in booking a taxi. If I ever visit Ulaanbaatar again, I will definitely choose to stay here!"

"This is an old-established hotel; even the immigration officer knew it when I entered the country. Although some details in the room felt a bit odd (like the scarcity of power outlets or the extra-long shower curtain), you can tell they've made efforts to renovate in recent years. At least the room was spacious and clean, and the staff spoke basic English. You can order breakfast to be delivered to your room for 15,000 MNT (the apple was bought separately). There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so daily life is very convenient."

For example, an ironing board and iron were provided, but there was no washing machine. Free breakfast was available for guests daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Happiness Hotel is a 40-minute walk from the train station."

"This hotel is located in an office building, occupying several floors. There's a convenience store and a coffee shop on the ground floor. Check-in was brilliant! The first at reception spoke some English and checked me in at 7.30 in the morning without a problem. My room was spacious, the bed was large, although on the hard side. At this point the good things about the hotel come to an end. Unfortunately, all the rest is quite bad. The lighting system is broken and you can't turn off the light above the bed unless you take out the key card, but then power outlets go off, so you can't sleep and charge your phone at the same time. Furniture knobs are falling apart, so does the knob on the shower. WiFi was down 2 times during my stay, including a very frustrating 12+ hour outage. Housekeeping doesn't seem to know what a Do Not Disturb sign means, entering the room regardless. Toiletries are the cheapest possible, not corresponding to the hotel name (e.g. Premium), lol. All in all, price/quality ratio was underwhelming. I will not stay here again."
