Clean , beautiful and a great breakfast selection. Their restaurant is open 24/7 with a variety of options. Prime location spot on a street with lots of restaurants options to choose from.

This is the one of the best hotel of my trip in SA. The swimming pool is amazing and fantastic. The view is also very well. I stayed in South Africa for 1 month and stayed in 10 different hotels. This one is really imprrssive. And I have view the best moon in my lives. I think I am even willing to cross half of the earth to stay there again. The room is not bad. But the disadvantage is the attitude of the receptionist and the professionalism of the restaurant staff are not good enough. Delayed the hotel's progress.

A beautiful and modern hotel located in a great area, there's plenty to do in the hotel and alot of things to do I the area including huge shopping malls and many restaurants.

I was sorely disappointed in the hotel. Staff were unfriendly and they made me feel that I was bothering them for simple questions such as breakfast times. The housekeeper walked into my room without knocking. Parking was a nightmare too. The window lining had come lose and I had a loud whistling noise all night long. I complained about all this and I received an insincere apology. Although very nicely situated, I'd never stay here again! The staff member that helped me with my luggage and finding the correct parking was an amazing staff member. The only person I dealt with that was friendly.

My stay here was absolutely lovely! The staff are very attentive and extremely helpful and friendly! I thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Pearls. I would like to give a shout at to the Executive Chef Gerald, who went above and beyond to prepare delicious vegetarian dishes with his special touch. He was very hospitable and kind! I will definitely be staying here the next time I visit Durban. Amazing service with a smile!

We had a very fantastic stay.. The service, cleanliness, sleep quality and rooms was excellent. Everything about the property is just perfect. The only side that needs attention is the balcony side, the chairs.

My family and I stayed at The Capital Hotel Umhlanga in October 2024, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel’s modern elegance, excellent facilities, and top-tier service made our stay truly memorable. What stood out the most was the exceptional hospitality, especially towards our 2-year-old son. The staff went out of their way to ensure he was comfortable, safe, and entertained, which made our trip even more enjoyable as parents. Their kindness and attentiveness did not go unnoticed, and we deeply appreciated the extra care. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing family stay. The hotel’s location was also perfect—close to great restaurants, shopping areas, and the stunning Umhlanga beachfront. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was warm and welcoming. The pool and other amenities were well-maintained, adding to the experience. Overall, The Capital Hotel Umhlanga provided us with a fantastic home away from home, and we would highly recommend it to families looking for a comfortable yet luxurious stay. Beautiful rooms and a sea view. I wish I had stayed more than one night for leisure. The only thing missing was a hairdryer or flat iron in the room, as the humidity is crazy for hair.
