Tolle Lage im Herzen von Bayreuth! Für das B&B Konzept ein sehr gutes preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Junges, kompetentes und hilfsbereites Hotelteam! Wir waren weit vor der checkin Zeit da und konnten unser Gepäck an der Rezeption sicher deponieren. Als wir dann ins Hotel gekommen sind, war das Gepäck schon auf die Zimmer gebracht worden. Grosser, sauberer, lichtdurchfluteter Frühstücksraum. Aufmerksame Mitarbeiter, die am Buffet sofort nachlegten. Schöne Brötchenauswahl! Fahrräder konnten sicher in einem Fahrradraum im 1. Stock abgestellt werden (Transport mit zu kleinem Aufzug erforderte akrobatische Fähigkeiten) Fazit: sehr zu empfehlen!!

We spent 2 nights at Hotel Rheingold so we could visit the sights. This was our first stay in Bayreuth even though we have ridden the Main bike path two times earlier. The hotel lies one block from the downtown pedestrian zone and one block from the large shopping mall. There is just an easy stroll to the Opera house and to the Neu Schloss. It would be much more of a walk to the Ermitage. The train station is about a 15 minute walk. The hotel has a secure bike parking closet in the basement garage. For cars the €7 daily parking fee seems good compared to other hotels we've stayed at.
We were in room 302, a double room with king bed located on a corner of the building. When we arrived we were a bit concerned that the ac wasn't working. But within minutes the maintenance man showed up with the controller and got it up and running. He was evidentally checking the ac units in all the rooms on that floor. Otherwise the room would have been very hot.
The room was clean and a reasonable size. The bathroom was also a good size, clean, and there was good hot water. We would have preferred just a shower, no bathtub, but that's just our preference.
As others have noted the breakfast was great. There was hot eggs, bacon, sausage, a variety of fresh breads, cakes, and pastries, cereal, yogurts, fruits, etc. Hard to choose the best things to eat.
We were quite happy with our stay.

Das Hotel liegt am Rand von Coburg, ca. 20 Minuten Fußmarsch zur Innenstadt. Das Hotel an sich ist ok, leider war bei mir das Personal (Empfang und Service) nicht optimal. Bei der Reinigung bin ich mir nicht sicher ob sie täglich gemacht wird, da man am Boden Schmutz von mehreren Tagen sehen konnte. Ich war auch mehrere Tage da. Vom Service und der Freundlichkeit ”kackt” das Vienna Easy in Cobrug gegen das Haus z.B. in Günzburg komplett ab.

Very functional hotel reminiscent of a UK travelodge being very clean, good comfy beds but no frills. Good wi-fi. It is located a fair walk outside of the centre but is situated very well for buses into and out of town including late night buses. Most buses finish early before 6/7pm. As we were staying 4 nights we bought a 7 day mobi-card for 2 people for €15.20 unlimited travel which is excellent value, but you have to purchase via a ticket machine as not available as an e-ticket on line. One criticism is the lack of a net curtain in bedroom, having a floor to ceiling window was like living in a goldfish bowl which could have frightened the neighbours first thing in the morning had we not been careful. The shower was good except that it could not be adjusted for height but could be hand held. Stating the hotel has a bar is a little optimistic as it consists of the hotel receptionist with beer and two bottles of wine, red or white. However I recommend you try the beer just for the sheer entertainment factor seeing it being ‘poured’. Overall we enjoyed staying at this hotel and would consider staying again as long as we remembered to pack a net curtain.

The location of the hotel was superb. It was within walking distance to the old town, and right next to a supermarket and a bakery. The price of the room was also very reasonable. However, the cleanliness needs to be improved. There was some hair on the quilt cover and on the pillow.

PPengguna TetamuWir haben wieder mal festgestellt, wie wichtig Service- und Kundenorientierung, Aufmerksamkeit und Freundlichkeit sind. Das haben wir alles sowohl am Empfang als auch im Frühstücksraum vom Personal vorgefunden. Wir hatten das Familienzimmer mit großem Bad und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Außerdem konnten wir unsere Räder unterstellen und anschließen, zwar in einer mehrstöckigen, offenen Garage, aber geschützt vor Regen. Am Abend haben wir noch eine Stadtbesichtigung gemacht und konnten über einen steilen Weg von der Veste zurück zum Hotel wandern. Wir sagen danke zum Service Team, denn sie haben unseren Aufenthalt rund gemacht.

PPengguna TetamuIn an old expansive palais a wonderful grand hotel close to the center. The rooms are lovely and luxurious and the restaurant was cozy and delicious. A great place to spend a weekend or more to see the area. Parking is onsite and breakfast can be served in your room, which I love.

FFayeI stayed here for the Bayreuth Festival and would definitely stay again. It's a brand new hotel, only built in 2019 (I think). The rooms were small but modern and spotlessly clean with really good, strong air-conditioning (which is an absolute MUST if you can't cope with hot August temperatures). The location is perfect for the Festspielhaus - only about 12 minutes walk and really close to the train station too. The whole place is bright and modern and there is a really nice bar and seating area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome. My only criticism would be that because the windows only take up about half of the external wall then the rooms are quite dark and you can't see very well if you're trying to work or pack a suitcase when it's not daylight hours. There isn't a wardrobe but some coat hangers attached to the wall at the side of the bed - which meant I had all my long evening dresses on display in the room.

Excellent hotel for couples or business stay. Rooms are very clean and new. I recomended for a good night sleep! Breakfast cost 16,50 eur per person and it's a little bit expensive on my point of view.

Reservierung; das erste Mal anscheinend junge Frau am Telefon, die, möglicherweise wegen Unerfahrenheit und/oder Sprachproblemen auch nach mehrfachen Versuchen auch mit Buchstabieren unseres Namens unser Anliegen ( Reservierung eines Zimmers + Garagenplatz ) bestätigen konnte:” morgen erhalten Sie eine Reservierungsbestätigung per mail ) . Die hatte ich bis ca 15.00 des Folgetages nicht erhalten. Habe daraufhin telefonisch i. Hotel nachgefragt. Diese Damen sprach 1.nur Englisch, suchte lange in den Reservierungen, war offensichtlich absolut überfordert. Ich bat darum, mich mit einem deutsch sprechenden Kollegen zu verbinden. Verstand sie nicht. Da dasselbe ein wenig sauer ( das ist doch ein deutsches Hotel, da muss doch jemand deutsch sprechen können ) auch auf englisch . Daraufhin die Antwort: ” you should be a little bit quieter”. Habe aufgelegt und später die Besitzerin per mail kontaktiert, die sich vielfach entschuldigte und den Vorgang mit Personalmangel erklärte. 2. Habe reserviert, weil dieses Haus anscheinend ( auch deutlich preislich ) das erste Haus am Platz zu sein schien, die Beurteilungen in mehreren guides sehr gut waren und das Restaurant u.a. im Michelin ausgezeichnet war. Angekommen grosse Enttäuschung: Restaurant geschlossen seit Wochen. Personalmangel. Ja, Frühstück gibt es, aber sagen Sie bitte wann Sie frühstücken wollen. Ein sauberes, gut ausgestattetes Zimmer und Bad in der 2.Etage .Kein Aufzug. Nur mit Hilfe eines Faktotums, gebrochen englisch sprechend, in Trainingshose mit Turnschuhen zu finden, der war aber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt keineswegs 4 Sterne Standard sondern eher eine Hotelkarikatur. € 228.- pro Nacht + 18 € Parkgebühr. Man meint immer, alles schon einmal erlebt zu haben und muss das revidieren. Da hilft nur Humor. Gleichwohl werde ich hier sicher nicht noch einmal buchen.

Il personale è disponibile e gentile, altra cosa importante. Per due notti e una visita della città è stato il... campo base ideale. Prima colazione a 10 euro a persona, se desiderata.

PPengguna TetamuMeine Frau und ich haben von Samstag auf Sonntag in diesem „Qualitäts“ Hotel übernachtet. Schon beim betreten des Hotels doch die Halle hatten wir ein schlechtes Gefühl weil der Teppich wirklich sehr gestunken hat und schmutzig war. Auch im Aufzug war ein schmutzige Teppich der sehr alt ist. Beim aussteigen aus dem Aufzug im obersten Stockwerk haben wir uns sehr gewundert wie ungepflegt, alt und sanierungsbedürftig dieses Hotel ist. unserer Meinung nach stammt das Hotel aus den späten fünfziger Jahren. Und seitdem ist nichts passiert. Das Zimmer stank nach Schimmel und Schmutz und wir mussten erst lüften und hatten ein ganzes Vibaset Desinfektions Spray zu verwenden damit wir überhaupt darin bleiben konnten. In der Dusche begrüßte uns ein großer Fleck von irgendwas den meine Frau dann beseitigt hat. Die Tür im Badezimmer ist umgekehrt angebracht was den Komfort sehr einschränkt. Alles ist alles und funktioniert nicht der Wasserabfluss war verstopft. Wegen dem schlechten Wetter und Regen haben wir im Hotel Restaurant zu Abend gegessen und für vier Personen reserviert. Das Lokal war ziemlich leer und das Speiseangebot war sehr begrenzt. Die Einrichtung erinnert an eine kommunistische Betriebskantine. Die Küche ist direkt im Restaurant, es riecht ständig nach Knoblauch und und verbrannten Öl. Eine Frau klopfte dort ständig Schnitzel und das sehr laut und nachhaltig. Die Köchin hat auch keine Kopfbedeckung auf. Das einzig gute war ein Chardonnay in einer unüblichen 1 l Flasche der gut trinkbar war. Dazu haben wir Butter Brot mit etwas Käse gegessen weil das das einzige war was was für Leute die sich gesund ernähren wollen im Angebot war. Der Kellner, ein jüngerer dunkelhaariger Mann hat uns sehr freundlich und aufmerksam bedient und das war wirklich das einzig positive in diesem Restaurant und Hotel. Bei der Abreise wurde nicht einmal guten Morgen oder auf wieder schauen gesagt. Das macht aber nichts weil wir werden uns sowieso nie wieder sehen dass Hotel und wir. Das Hotel kann man auf keinen Fall weiter empfehlen.

PPengguna TetamuWir haben im Oktober Urlaub in Bamberg gemacht. Eine schöne Stadt und wir kommen bestimmt wieder aber ganz bestimmt nicht ins Hotel National. Ein schönes Haus auf den ersten Blick aber: Wegen Corona sind Restaurant und Bar im Haus geschlossen gewesen. Wäre uns das bei der Reservierung der beiden Doppelzimmer gesagt worden hätten wir dort nicht gewohnt. Die Zimmer sind die ganze Woche nicht gereinigt worden - wegen Corona. Das Treppenhaus wurde in dieser Woche auch nicht gesaugt vermutlich auch wegen Corona. Die Zimmer sind bei der Ankunft sauber gewesen. Ein Zimmer hatte ein Bad aus den vermutlich 50zigern Bilder füge ich anbei. Dieser Charme hat uns nicht gefallen. Das andere Zimmer ist winzig gewesen mit einem neuen Bad dafür ohne Schrank nur eine Garderobe an der Wand evtl. gut genug wenn man eine Nacht bleibt aber nicht für 2 Personen die fast eine Woche bleiben.. Die Kissen in den Betten sind ein Zumutung irgendeine Kunstfüllung die total verklumpt gewesen ist. Der Frühstücksservice bildete zumindest am ersten Tag einen Lichtblick. Eine junge Frau aus Ungarn servierte sehr freundlich und gut gelaunt das Frühstück. Das Buffet ist gut und ausreichend gewesen wurde aber nicht gewechselt aus diesem Grund nach dem vierten Tag langweilig. Die geöffnete Bar am Abend haben wir sehr vermisst da unsere Zimmer so klein gewesen sind das wir nicht zu viert dort etwas trinken konnten. Einmal und nie wieder ist unser Fazit..
