Beautiful setting for friend's Daughter's wedding. House and surrounding grounds absolutely spectacular,staff could not do enough for us and food was ten out of ten! We will definitely be back and would encourage everyone to go for relaxing few days!!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home in this beautiful Victorian country house. Excellent food and attentive, friendly service. Beautiful room and lovely grounds. An oasis of quietness and tranquility. Would love to come back as one night was just not enough!

Beautiful place, made all the better by the exceptional staff who made the experience all the better. Sean and his team took care of our every need and on a stormy night when other guests cancelled the staff took it all in their stride and made the evening special. Thank you, we will return soon.

We had an incredible stay at Ardtara. It truly exceeded our expectations in every regard. The room we had was light filled and had the added bonus of a fire. All the food including breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar food was out of this world. There is no need to leave the hotel but there are plenty of local options from scenic walks to Heaney visitor centre. What made our stay most remarkable was how ardtara strikes the perfect balance of relaxed informal vibes and precise attention to detail throughout. The GM Séan truly embodies the ethos of Ardtara and his energy for the house, the area and good hospitality was memorable. The waiter/barman was also very attentive and made the best cocktails. We have stayed in many blue book venues but this was by far the best and we can’t wait to come back!

We returned there for our 3-year wedding anniversary. We had almost forgotten how wonderful this country house is. The food is simply divine with a fabulous wine pairing to go alongside the tasting menu. We stayed in the impeccable main suite and had a wonderful nights sleep. Cannot recommend it higher!

Very much a last minute decision to get a break before the return to work. It was also an opportunity to try out a Blue Book Hotel in a part of Ireland that I had never explored. Ard Tara more than live up to its social media reviews. From the minute we arrived we felt like we were staying with family. The staff were very friendly& helpful. The food delicious, for dinner we chose the 6 course taster menu, & what a wonderful 6 courses it was, each course more delicious than the previous. After a good sleep we experienced breakfast, another feast if tastes, the star item for me was the Creamy Porridge with honey & cream, I eat porridge at home & would be loathe to order out, but OMG this was a step above. As for Ard Tara wonderful bedrooms, all u ique & so different for hotel chain bedrooms,a lovely cosy lounge to read a book in & a nice cosy residents bar. Vased in Mid Ulster Ard Tara is very central & an ideal base to explore the Causeway ciast,Bushmills, Derry cury & environs, Belfast & the Lough Neagh area.A break to remember & we will return.

Most enjoyable two day stay in a lovely hotel. Very warm, friendly welcome. Well furnished lounges with open fires. Spacious, comfortable bedroom and ensuite facilities. .Staff were very courteous and always helpful. The food was exceptional

Wonderful time at Ardtara, we were given a voucher by family and had a wonderful time. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much, we stayed one night and it was very relaxing. Would recommend the food, beautifully presented and so flavourful. Hope to visit again!
