Hotel berhampiran Cascades allcamayo trailhead, Urubamba

I received a room that was dirty and smelled musty. The hotel said that there were no other rooms available and that they had a special machine they could put in my room to remove the smell, but I would have to leave the room for a few hours. No one could explain to me what this machine actually did! After speaking to 4 different people, I was finally told that a suite was available, but I would have to pay approximately $500 per night extra to move. None of the staff their speaks English well so it was very difficult to explain that I should not have to pay extra. No one seemed to feel bad about giving us a smelly room and just said that it was very hot outside (as if that explained the situation). After a long days travel, we were exhausted and so I agreed and we moved into the suite. Then, that night, both my son and I got sick. We don't know if it was caused by the food in the hotel or something else. Regardless, I called the front desk at 11 pm and asked if they had any medicines. The man at the desk said that I could go into town to the pharmacy, but he did not know if it was open. I asked him if he could call the pharmacy to see if they were open. He did not speak English well and kept repeating that I should go to the pharmacy. He was entirely unhelpful! This hotel is beautiful and the suite was nice. But, the service is terrible. No one seems to know what is going on and not one person spoke English well. Breakfast was included in my rate, but the first day we were only offered a cold buffet. The second day were were given a menu to also order hot items. It turns out that they forgot to give us the menu or even tell us about the hot items the day before. No one apologized or made any effort to make up for the error. The staff just does not care if the guests have a good experience or not. This place is very expensive, and definitely not four or five star quality. Stay away!

Fomos muito bem recebidos e acolhidos. O hotel fica uns 5 min caminhando da estação de trem. Fácil acesso. A moça da recepção nos atendeu com muita simpatia e atenção! Levantou cedo para nós prepar um café.. simples mas gostoso! O quarto é simples.. porém é o necessário para a estadia. Chuveiro de água quente e a cama super confortável. Tranquilo para uma boa noite de sono. Longe da muvuca das ruas. Foi muito gentil da parte dela guardar nossas malas enquanto subimos para o Machu Pichu. Recomendo!

Hotel Luz Garden was great! The staff treated us like family and were very nice! They came by each night to see what time we wanted breakfast and even let us stay in our room a little later so we didn't have to set around town waiting for or train. I will definitely stay here again.

A comfortable hotel very close to the station. We stayed here 1 night to visit Machu Picchu and it was perfect. The room had everything we needed to rest well before our hike and staff is very kind and attentive, especially Flor Condori of the reception. Since our stop was part of our honeymoon they left a very thoughtful surprise in our room. I would highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Machu Picchu!

The rooms are small but well appointed. They are very helpful but only speak Spanish. We stayed in a room we were quoted as 40 USD but I paid in Soles. The conversion was fair. There is a standard charge 5 percent to use your credit card. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful but June nights are cold by the river and there was no heater remaining when we asked. The bathroom was nice with a big shower and beautiful sink. Just had to step up to get from the room to the bath. Pics are from AFTER we used the room. It was clean and made up when we arrived. Meant for one but big enough for 2 people. I didnt find it noisy and the upstairs patio was a great place to rest after checkout before the train. Wifi was solid and the staff had great advice! Great It location. It was midway to the hot spring and the train. In the morning away from the lines but direct path and very ose to the bus to Machu Picchu.

One of the most unique and romantic places I have ever stayed. We had one night but wished we had stayed longer. The resort is located on a stunning and quiet location with beautifully decorated rooms. We loved our dinner and breakfast and the service was exceptional. I think it was Gualha who served us at breakfast- he was such a gentleman. The spa and massage treatments were the best. We floated back to our rooms. The whole experience was exceptional. Thank you
