This was a great hotel for our vacation! First off, the staff was very accommodating and very nice to us. We had a problem with our hot water the first night and the staff jumped on the issue and put us in another room and insured we had hot water. It was a little cold that night and they hooked us up with an extra space heater that kept our room toasty the whole stay. The food in the restaurant was really fresh and the steak was made perfectly. We were all very impressed with the food!! The free breakfast was also delicious and they even made my eggs to order! The most impressive “above and beyond” moment, though, was when we were leaving. While packing our rental car we noticed a tire was flat. Luckily the car came with a spare but the flat tire was stuck on the car. We were going to have to wait hours to get help. The hotel staff brought over a hotel maintenance worker who was able to free the tire and put our spare on for us. It truly saved losing a whole day of vacation and I was so grateful. This above and beyond service is what you hope for in a vacation and they delivered. Thank you so much for the hospitality!
Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Valle Sagrado

We stayed here for 5 nights prior to our Inca Trail trekking and it was perfect. We had enough time to visit most of the famous archaeological sites at Sacred Valley. For the resort fee we had to pay, the hotel offers daily experiences we participated. We especially enjoyed the Pisco Sour making lesson. Chatting with other travelers afterwards while sipping Pisco Sour was the highlight of our stay. The bar at the hotel offers the best pizza I have ever had. The only negative was that we were charged 18% tax plus 10% service fee on our folio. I understand that the 18% tax should be waived for foreign travelers. I sent the hotel an email after I noticed the charge but received no response. Make sure to check your bill when you check out.

Dinner at Aranwa was a special treat. We dined there two nights in a row. The first night was a teaser as we arrived late and enjoyed starters only which included an exceptional ceviche bursting with flavor and succulent fresh salmon trout. Wow! The second night we had the opportunity to enjoy a complete meal at the hands of our server Elvis and his team. I’m in the restaurant space so I’m often extra picky on service. Elvis kept the trains on schedule delivering one of our best meals in Peru topped off with a memorable chocolate moose dessert that was legendary! Bravo Elvis and Aranwa!
