A comfortable hotel very close to the station. We stayed here 1 night to visit Machu Picchu and it was perfect. The room had everything we needed to rest well before our hike and staff is very kind and attentive, especially Flor Condori of the reception. Since our stop was part of our honeymoon they left a very thoughtful surprise in our room. I would highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Machu Picchu!

Hotel Luz Garden was great! The staff treated us like family and were very nice! They came by each night to see what time we wanted breakfast and even let us stay in our room a little later so we didn't have to set around town waiting for or train. I will definitely stay here again.

Fomos muito bem recebidos e acolhidos. O hotel fica uns 5 min caminhando da estação de trem. Fácil acesso. A moça da recepção nos atendeu com muita simpatia e atenção! Levantou cedo para nós prepar um café.. simples mas gostoso! O quarto é simples.. porém é o necessário para a estadia. Chuveiro de água quente e a cama super confortável. Tranquilo para uma boa noite de sono. Longe da muvuca das ruas. Foi muito gentil da parte dela guardar nossas malas enquanto subimos para o Machu Pichu. Recomendo!

The rooms are small but well appointed. They are very helpful but only speak Spanish. We stayed in a room we were quoted as 40 USD but I paid in Soles. The conversion was fair. There is a standard charge 5 percent to use your credit card. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful but June nights are cold by the river and there was no heater remaining when we asked. The bathroom was nice with a big shower and beautiful sink. Just had to step up to get from the room to the bath. Pics are from AFTER we used the room. It was clean and made up when we arrived. Meant for one but big enough for 2 people. I didnt find it noisy and the upstairs patio was a great place to rest after checkout before the train. Wifi was solid and the staff had great advice! Great It location. It was midway to the hot spring and the train. In the morning away from the lines but direct path and very ose to the bus to Machu Picchu.

We stayed here for 5 nights prior to our Inca Trail trekking and it was perfect. We had enough time to visit most of the famous archaeological sites at Sacred Valley. For the resort fee we had to pay, the hotel offers daily experiences we participated. We especially enjoyed the Pisco Sour making lesson. Chatting with other travelers afterwards while sipping Pisco Sour was the highlight of our stay. The bar at the hotel offers the best pizza I have ever had. The only negative was that we were charged 18% tax plus 10% service fee on our folio. I understand that the 18% tax should be waived for foreign travelers. I sent the hotel an email after I noticed the charge but received no response. Make sure to check your bill when you check out.

One of the most unique and romantic places I have ever stayed. We had one night but wished we had stayed longer. The resort is located on a stunning and quiet location with beautifully decorated rooms. We loved our dinner and breakfast and the service was exceptional. I think it was Gualha who served us at breakfast- he was such a gentleman. The spa and massage treatments were the best. We floated back to our rooms. The whole experience was exceptional. Thank you

This hotel is known for its garden and views, but other aspects leave a lot to be desired. In fact, the hotel was quite disappointing. The hotel definitely does not meet the standards of a boutique hotel, as it describes itself. - rooms are ok, conformable, but basic. - PREJUDICED treatment by the staff. I felt a huge difference in treatment between European and North American guests and Latin guests. I had never experienced this before in a hotel and I found it very serious. - It definitely does not work for long stays or as a base for exploring the Sacred Valley, precisely because it is at the train station. The place has a strong smell of BURNING FUEL, and there is TRAIN NOISE all the time. You wake up and go to sleep to the sound of whistles, which is very chaotic and unpleasant. - There are other much better options in the city. - It is about 10 minutes from the center, with a reasonable climb. And you have to wait in lines of train passengers to get into your hotel every day. - Breakfast is REPETITIVE AND WITHOUT VARIETY. Simpler hotels in the area had infinitely better coffee. However, it seems to be standard for the hotel, a jacket that other guests have complained about in past reviews and nothing has been done. They say they will improve in the responses to reviews and nothing has changed. - Professional staff, but IMPATIENT AND IRRITATED. They are resistant to simple requests. - I asked for computer at the reception to view a personal document that can only be accessed via computers. They did not allow me to use it, and there was no other available for guests to use. - A hotel of this value has no amenities whatsoever, only soap. There is no shower cap, skin moisturizer, cotton wool. I have never seen this in hotels that classify themselves as ”boutique”.

PPengguna TetamuThis is a peaceful hotel in Urubamba in the Sacred Valley, about 10-15 minute walk into the town, restaurants and shops. It’s a beautiful setting, surrounded by mountains and with pretty gardens. The reception staff are very helpful. For what is described as a four star hotel, the rooms felt a little small, dark and sparse, but maybe that’s the point of an ex Monastery. We felt they could have provided more outside seating in the gardens to take advantage of the setting.

FFreqTrvl75A bit surprised the hotel is that highly rated. It was certainly decent but for the price (or cheaper) you can find many better alternatives. A staff member met me at the train station and escorted me to the hotel which was a nice touch and just a short 5 minute walk. I reserved one of the deluxe rooms. The use of the word deluxe is done loosely. The room was quite small but the worst part (and perhaps should have caught it earlier) is that the room didn’t have any AC system. It was quite stuffy. You could leave the window open but not only it didn’t provide much inbound fresh air but you’d be subjected to loud noise (music, people, crying babies) from the street. If you are a light sleeper expect it to be challenging with the noise. Bathroom was small but sufficient. Bring some toiletries since they only provide shampoo and conditioner (I guess you can repurpose the hand soap as well). The mattress is rock hard so if you like it then it’ll work well for you. I also found the pillows to be uncomfortable. The complimentary breakfast buffet was elaborate and probably has more items than you’d care to eat early morning before exploring Machu Picchu. They also provide a buffet lunch for around $20 USD and a la carte dinner. I tried the lunch buffet and it was also very elaborate. On the site they have a picture of a jacuzzi so I assumed it was part of the hotel guest amenities. I was wrong. They have a spa but you need to pay a day pass to access the amenities. Check out time is 10am so if you’re hiking and/or visiting Machu Picchu in the morning plan accordingly since they charge a hefty amount if you request a late check out. The night prior I asked for a Noon check out and they said it would be $50 USD. Ultimately I would consider this property more average than upscale.

PPengguna TetamuBed was really comfortable. Johan and Marie were so accommodating. We arrived in the evening after a long day of trekking and they got us to our rooms very quickly and understanding of how tired we were. The water was so loud being by the river at the end of rainy season that we were lulled to sleep both nights. All-natural sound machine. Hotel is close to everything. Rooms were clean and decorated uniquely. Breakfast in the morning was great, on top of the buffet Marie also scrambled eggs for anyone who requested. We had a great stay.

MMaps55056846293The river view rooms in this hotel are amazing! Bedroom and bath were nice also. Staff was very helpful with storing luggage for us. The breakfast was well stocked and started at 5:30 which allowed us a bite before our Machu Picchu tour. The location is on the train tracks but we had no issues with noise if on the river side.
