Paradox has so far been the best hospitality and service experience we've had in years. Right from reception, room service to valet. They're friendly, extremely helpful, there are details that you'd never think of heated floors in the bathroom, filtered floral air in the washroom. Right in the middle of downtown, everything is within walking distance, the rooms are absolutely an oasis in the middle of a metropolis. Stay here!

Great hotel. Big rooms, and comfortable bed. Also enjoyed a quick drink and snack in the restaurant. Right across the street from Canada Place and a quick walk to downtown or Gastown. Only issue was that check-in took 30 minutes, and check-out took 15 mins. Lines for both. Also, WiFi was free but had to find the code they gave us to activate it. Otherwise, there was only paid access to WiFi. Still, we would return!

This hotel is SUPERB in every way. Their location is within walking distance to one of the train stops (we didn't use, but its 5 minutes away), a short 10 minute walk to the cruise terminals/seawall. We stayed 2 days prior to an Alaskan cruise and everything was amazing. The level of service was genuine and fantastic. So often these days you can feel like someone is ”going through the motions”. That is not at all the case here. The front desk greeted us warmly upon our arrival, and was so personable. The hotel is beautiful! A historical building restored beautifully both inside and out. The lobby area is amazing with dark beautiful woods. We were upgraded from a standard room to one of the largest standard rooms, overlooking the museum directly across the street. Upgrades are amazing, but just know they aren't always possible! Food - We at breakfast both mornings in the lobby lounge. Which saying sounds odd... but it is such a cozy spot. Food and service, again were fantastic. Room Service was also delicious! Concierge was so genuinely interested in ensuring we enjoyed out time in Vancouver! I look forward to a return trip where we will likely include some time back at the Hotel Georgia and some time in Whistler as well. Thanks to all at the Hotel Georgia for making our two days such an incredible experience!

The hotel and its rooms are very clean, furniture is modern and aesthetically pleasing. Although the location is in downtown and tourists only need to walk 1-2 blocks to reach the major shopping district, its surroundings are nightclubs/bars and can be a little be sketchy at night or in the early morning. The hotel is quite small but cheaper than other downtown hotels.

Literally everything about this hotel is perfect. 1. Location- near malls, supermarkets, good restaurants, metros, library 2. Service- best thing about this hotel. Hotel concierge Arif was a God sent. Waitresses in the hotel restaurant were so kind and patient with my babies who are at that stage where they throw food 3. Amenities- we sent our clothes for dry cleaning and my gold chain got stuck accidentally to my sweater. They found it and returned it in a small ziploc bag 4. Hotel food- basic continental breakfast but if you're travelling with small kids it's perfect because it's very kid friendly even for picky eaters like mine 5. Room- big and spacious lots of storage space amazing view love that there's a door that separates the bedroom from the couch area so we could have our own downtime while the babies sleep Thank you for making our first trip in Canada so amazing

Stayed at this hotel to be close to a wedding that we were attending at UBC. Perfect location with great restaurants around. Although close to the hospital, we did not hear any noises overnight. The free breakfast buffet that came with our stay was also a great bonus ! This is my second holiday inn vancouver centre stay after my first stay in 2018 for a business trip, and I overall really enjoy the hotel!

Stayed there twice, 1st time had a disatisfactory experience with the reception staff, he was inexperienced and forgot things when we checked in and out, couldn't charge 1 of our cards AND also double charged our debit card instead of refunding the deposit when we left. Huge, but dated rooms but depends on your luck, some rooms are newer. Overall still ok. Nice view.

Hotel location is super perfect which nearby the centre point of Vancouver, many restaurants surround hotel especially Korean food, and we stay in penthouse floor which can look at the north side of Vancouver and hills. I have some concerns regarding my experience at The Sutton Hotel. Firstly, I noticed that the front desk staff didn't seem very patient or eager to assist Chinese guests like myself. This made me feel somewhat unwelcome. Secondly, I found the hotel rooms to be quite dusty, despite our efforts to keep them clean. Surprisingly, the dust accumulated rapidly on the bedside table and telephone. I suspect that the air inside the room might be the cause of this issue, as even the air conditioning panel appeared to be covered in dust. I believe these observations are worth addressing by the hotel management to improve the overall experience for all guests, regardless of their nationality. It would be beneficial if steps were taken to enhance the cleanliness of the rooms and ensure a more welcoming and accommodating atmosphere for all visitors.

We were pleasantly surprised with the excellent quality and design of the room. Everything is very convenient and well-prepared. The furniture is good and new. There is a closet, drawers and a small coffee shop area where you can sit, drink coffee and relax while looking at the view. There was a microwave, coffee machine and a fridge. The bathroom was very elegant and convenient with LED mirrors which are so great if you want to apply makeup on your special day. There were many towels as well with some basic toiletries. The reception staff was always very friendly and helpful. The location is closed to many shops, supermarkets and public transportation. The hotel is very safe and clean.

Perfect location for downtown vancouver with lots to offer, the staff seemed nice but the guy on the desk on the evening was not impressed with. Very abrupt and unhelpful and unwelcoming. The other staff I dealt with seemed nice and freindly. Connected to q bar which runs events on the evening which is great for socialing, but wouldn't recommend if you was there amd wanting to sleep earlier in the night as music is loud and can be disturbing. Cleanliness was average but what you'd expect from a hostel as its not about there cleaning but sometimes the people staying there with toilets and shower areas not really respected for other guests. Didn't impact my experience and is probably what you'd expect for one of the cheaper hostels in the area

This was perfectly adequate for my one night stay prior to a cruise. The location is easily accessible from the train from the airport and less than a mile from the cruise terminal. It is no frills but clean. I had a shared bathroom which was a concern but it was fine. You share the bathroom with another room and you will hear them in there but, again, it was one night. There was a sink in the room which was good as you didn't need the bathroom for basic teeth brushing, etc. If I was doing an overnight in Vancouver again, I'd go back.

Granville Island is a great place for its public market, artisan shops and the lovely and convenient water taxis to help get around downtown Vancouver. The Hotel is perfectly located on the north end waterfront. The room was clean and comfortable although before checkout we saw that the bed skirt had something spilled on it by a prior guest. Also, the bed was uneven, with one side providing good support and the other was soft and led to a bad night’s sleep. Service at the hotel was good but the server at the restaurant was either inexperienced or a little inept. Another disappointment was that they had a bike rental stand that never had bikes to rent despite promoting it as an option. All in all, a good stay, but not a great stay. Glad I saved money on trip.com but I’ll look for a different hotel next time.

We booked this hotel last minute as we needed somewhere to stay before catching a flight in the morning. Upon check in we were charged nearly 3 times the room mate for a security deposit which was strange and unexpected. The room was very nice and the beds were possibly the most comfortable beds I have stayed in. Had everything we needed. Checked out early the next morning and the gentlemen at the front desk was very helpful and even booked us a taxi.

Fantastic hotel. Very convenient as we were going on the Princess Cruise. The concierge, front office and housekeeping staff were all very friendly and made us feel at home. Highly recommend this hotel.

The moment I walked into the lobby and was greeted by the staff, I knew it was going to be an incredible trip. To start, the location is amazing. Walking distance to so many restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. What made the trip extra special was the head concierge, Alexsander. It was my first time in Canada and he told me so much about the history of some buildings and recommended all the places to go. He even took the extra step to walk my friend and me to Palate Kitchen around the corner to make sure we didn’t get lost and introduced us to the hostess. It was such an incredible level of customer service that I haven’t ever experienced , even when staying at other 5 star hotels. All the recommendations of sites to see made our trip absolutely perfect . The overnight front desk agent even offered me water and offered to call a cab when my Uber cancelled for my 5am flight. The other employee working that shift even carried my luggages to the car in the rain and waited with me outside until they were there. The room was spotless and so beautiful. Housekeeping did an amazing job. We were also given a handwritten card with Rosé upon arrival as well as breakfast vouchers and early check in. Thank you so much to the staff for making my vacation so magical. I can’t wait to refer my friends vacationing to stay at this hotel. What a special experience! Also, the breakfast and restaurant staff was phenomenal !

Wow! Can't say enough great things about this hotel. My daughter, her husband and I stayed three nights in an executive king/queen suite and it was beautiful. We arrived after 9 at night and the desk staff were friendly and helpful. The suite was beautiful and super clean with the two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a generous sized living/dining space and balcony. It has all been recently updated and I am including a few pictures here of a view you don't see on their website of the queen room of the back wall and closet. As you can see, there is a TV in every room and also safes, robes and slippers ( I am wearing a robe and slipper set so you only see one in the closet). The kitchen had full size appliances, 4 place settings, plenty of silverware, a skillet, nepresso machine, etc. The staff were friendly throughout the stay and there was always someone at the desk. An upscale grocery (urban fare) is across the street and it is a short walk to any restaurant or the skytrain station, waterfront, etc. We will definitely be back!

I chose to stay here because of the airport shuttle and the accessibility to public transportation. Given the price I had to pay, I’d have given a better a rating IF: (1) airport shuttle is more punctual (2) the TV in the room works better (clearer, guests ‘can’ use it simply by following menu, has choices of movie/ netflix connection) (3) the sink in the toilet has more efficient water draining (4) the air conditioner has digital control and is quieter (5) The lift works smarter.. What I like: (1) The complimentary coffee machine in common area (2) The staff are nice

I have some concerns regarding my experience at The Sutton Hotel. Firstly, I noticed that the front desk staff didn't seem very patient or eager to assist Chinese guests like myself. This made me feel somewhat unwelcome. Secondly, I found the hotel rooms to be quite dusty, despite our efforts to keep them clean. Surprisingly, the dust accumulated rapidly on the bedside table and telephone. I suspect that the air inside the room might be the cause of this issue, as even the air conditioning panel appeared to be covered in dust. I believe these observations are worth addressing by the hotel management to improve the overall experience for all guests, regardless of their nationality. It would be beneficial if steps were taken to enhance the cleanliness of the rooms and ensure a more welcoming and accommodating atmosphere for all visitors.
