Hotel berhampiran Fliegerhorst Venlo, Venlo

We made this a stopover in our way to the Harz Mountains and it was a total treat - relaxed elegance. Would have liked to have stayed longer to explore the gardens next door and the ceramic museum. Comfortable bed, good breakfast, pretty terrace and picturesque moat. Only downside was they had fully booked the restaurant so we had to go elsewhere but this turned out to be a good move! Where to start? Our second time at the Bridgge Hotel; the first time was in June 2022 to arrive at this, four-star Hotel. We met a gentleman at the check-in with ripped jeans, and our first impression was underwhelming. Furthermore, the hotel staff enjoyed drinking at the bar and hotel terrace during working hours. This is not what we would expect at a four-star hotel which prides itself on excellence and aims to sell you an exclusive experience. Entering our first room, we inspected the on-suite and found urine stains on the toilet. They were so kind to change the room and in the second room, the same story, plus used toilet paper in the bathroom bin and hair all over the room. The bed sheets are of poor quality and very scratchy. Overall, not that great of an experience. Asking if we could still have dinner, the receptionist informed us that the Kitchen closes at 10 pm, and we should not be later than 9:45 pm. We arrived at 9:40 pm and were denied a table by Mr Testarossa, who seemed to be the head waiter and enjoyed that we came for dinner. The Kitchen is closed. Of course, this was not what we would expect. Sharing this with the receptionist, he did not seem to care much. The head bartender attended to us and calmed the situation. He made sure we got some bites, thank you. However, speaking the following day to the Hotel Manager, Roberto Verdugo, he was apologetic and understanding and did his best to solve the problems. Now we thought we give this Hotel a second chance, and to our surprise, we did not only find urine stains on the toilet but also poop. Moreover, little rests of toilet paper were all over the room floor and wine stains. As they do not have telephones in their rooms, I had to go back to the reception desk and ask for the Manager. However, he was not in anymore, and a gentleman Mr Hamza Ceri came up to me posing as the housekeeping manager. I explained and showed him the pictures I took, and he started to look for excuses, e.g. holiday season etc. I told him this was the second stay and the same issues. He immediately insisted on going into the room and inspecting the room, which is excellent quick action. However, I explained to him that we needed to wait a min because my wife was getting ready. Once she is down, he could go to the room and inspect this by himself. At that stage, he was getting very impatient and rude. I told him that I did not wish to speak to him any further and would like to talk to the Manager in the morning. At that stage, he started to be abusive, threatening to kick us out of the Hotel if he could not see the room immediately. Calling the police, shouting at me and commenting like you want the room for free. I noticed a CCTV camera above the reception and told him it was fine, let's have a look at the CCTV footage, and his tune changed immediately. We only wanted someone to give the room a deep clean, and all would have been good. The next morning I met Manager Roberto Verdug

What a lovely place! The room is clean and spacious. Enough storage possibilities. We found the crew very helpful and friendly. The hotel offers a lot of information and discounts for activities around Arcen. Our room was located next to the garden opposite the restaurant. Very confenient :-) We thought it might be noisy but it wasn't at all.

Hotel literally next to the trainstation. But no worries: in 2018 reopend and therefore no noice of the trains as long as you use the airco and keep the windows closed. It is in the center of Roermond. And one can park the car below the hotel (if available) at no costs. We had bikes with us (as many guests had) and could park them in a special bike area. This had an extra lock on the door, so only the guests with bikes could enter this area. Really lovely. Also good beds and clean room and a modern bathroom. The breakfast is good and a lot of choice; fruits, yoghurt, various breads, a toaster, cheese, meat and sweet stuff to go with your bread and eggs, good coffee and pancakes. Fresh juice which you could make yourself. I probably forget something.... but one thing I know for sure: everyone could take what he/she wanted. On the other side of the rather busy road one could take a drink in one of the cafés. The walking area to the shops started there too. To go to the Designer Outlet takes a moderate person 15-20 minutes. To the river Roer 15 minutes and several markets 5-10 minutes. The only lesser thing which I can think of is that the smokers did go the terras in front of the hotel. Because they were allowed to smoke there. For people like me the place becomes a no go area then. All 8 tables around the place where we sat, did smoke. Sometimes 3 or 4 people at one table. It bothered me a lot, because although I don’t smoke, I had to smoke. My advise to the management: make an area for the smokers and separate it from the non smokers. Or tell people to smoke somewhere else.

Das Hotel ist das Non Plus Ultra für alle Gladbach Fans. Die Zimmer sind im Gladbach Style eingerichtet. Die Einrichtung ist sehr Hochwertig. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber. Da wir an einem Spieltag dort Übernachtet haben war das Restaurant ( Die Sportsbar) geschlossen. Das Frühstück gab es dann in der Sportsbar. Es blieb kein Wunsch offen. Ob süß oder herzhaft, es war alles vorhanden.

Fourth stay for our family here. Very large rooms with small kitchenettes. All very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is main building is good. We didn't use the restaurant, but we had two really nice evening meals at the fantastic Beach Club, just a short stroll away from hotel (reservation required on sunny days). No airconditioning in rooms, but we were in garden suites and they were cool (even with 30+ degree weather). We rented bikes (excellent quality) from the hotel which is highly recommended with all the different cycle routes in the area.

Wir waren hier mit Freunden um einen Geburtstag in der Nähe zu feiern. Das Hotel liegt in einer industriell genutzten Gegend etwas abgelegen. Es ist deswegen ausgesprochen ruhig in der Gegend. Das Haus ist recht neu und funktionell eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind recht gross und sauber und die Betten sind bequem. Das Frühstücksangebot war nicht sonderlich reichlich, aber ausreichend. Zum Hotel gehört ein beschrankter Parkplatz für 12 Euro, den benötigt man nicht unbedingt, es gibt in der eher einsamen Gegend auch kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten. Das Hotel wird mit minimalem Personaleinsatz betrieben, das war kein Nachteil. Alle Mitarbeiter, mit denen wir Kontakt hatten, waren ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für etwas unter 100 Euro haben wir eine sehr gute Übernachtung erhalten.

We rente there the two of us on 12 Feb 2023. We had made reservation in advance and we were welcomed most friendly. We were handed out the key to the and told the room is at the first floor. We went to the room and discovered that this was a very basic room. We looked for the restaurant and discovered that this was not to our linking, so we had dinner ”down town”. During night and early morning we were woken up by delivery trucks and the nearby motor way. The next morning we had breakfast in the hotel. There were scrambled eggs but not the way we used to eat there, it was a solid mass of omelet. There were some canned fruits, bread and butter and coffee from teh machine. Though what to expect in Deurne.

Just spent 3 nights here for work . Absolutley fantastic hotel . Full gymm and pool which are in superb condition Resteraunt which is lovely with a good choice Bar is nice with a good selection of drinks and has the football on 2 screens but doesnt take over the bar area with noise so you can take it or leave it Breakfast is perfect with everything from bacon ,sausage and eggs to meats breads ect Rooms are spotless and large with a good selection of channals on the TV Free wifi which is actually worth logging onto Staff are freindly and can not do enough to make sure you stay is a good one . Happy , smiling staff all of them . Note , there is no usb ports in the room for charging so need a travel plug charge your phone / iphone . Overall a great hotel and will definatly stay again while away with work
