A beautiful colonial style lodge with an in house kitchen, two dipping pools and accommodations within a well maintained garden that attracts many birds. Stayed here for 3 nights and had some of the best sleep in a while. The staff were also extremely attentive and helpful and assisted with all our itinerary and transport requests including reservations at various restaurants and arranging a driver to take us from place to place. Special thanks to Charity and Precious! The neighborhood is peaceful and safe, and a short drive from the city center and Victoria falls. Breakfast and tea are included. As a bonus: there are the cutest two ducks that live in the garden!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Pioneer Lodge, the grounds are beautiful we loved the gardens and friendly ducks! The staff are really friendly and helpful and we had a nice meal for dinner and breakfast was good. The room was really lovely, comfortable bed, mozzie net, fab bathroom, spacious room, holders for your suitcases, great ceiling fan and aircon. We liked the filtered water in the room and also available outside the front reception. We would stay here again if we came back to Victoria Falls.

My Mother and I travelled to Africa on a once in a life time amazing adventure and we’ve adored every bit of it! But when we came to Pioneers Lodge in Zimbabwe, we fell in love with a whole new country, its culture, people and animals. The staff at pioneers lodge have been professional, dedicated, attentive and have made us feel so special in this wonderful new country. We have enjoyed heaps of tours and experiences and when we’ve returned to the lodge, the staff have welcomed us “home”. Special mention to the girls at the counter who helped us organise transport and tours and also Colen who served us food and drinks and keep us entertained with riddles we couldn’t solve. Pioneers was a stunning place in a great location. The gardens and public spaces were immaculately clean at all times. The rooms were spacious , clean and comfortable. The dining facilities were also top notch. We would especially like to mention Charity, Loretta and Precious as their personal service was over and beyond Superb !
