This is a perfectly acceptable hotel that just happens to be in a terrible location. The area is not unsafe, just rather nondescript and somewhat remote. The look of the lobby is not very promising, with all the video screens making it look more like a bus station than a hotel. The hallways leading to the rooms are bland and poorly-lit. On the bright side, the rooms themselves are perfectly fine. There are quite spacious, with high ceilings and big windows. They are perfectly quiet and comfortable. The bathrooms are large and well -equipped. The breakfast was not particularly elaborate, but completely acceptable. The location is really the only downside, but it is a major one. It is too remote to walk anywhere. The closest station is for the Tram. Although I have used public transportation in many cities, I did find Vienna's system to be more difficult to decipher than most. I did manage to get downtown and back, but not without difficulty. I was on a group tour, and did not choose this hotel myself. Should I return to Vienna, I would prefer to stay in a more central location.

Wir waren eine große Gruppe mit 165 Schülern und haben eine Woche im Dezember im a&t Holiday Hostel verbracht und waren sehr angenehm von unserer Unterkunft überrascht. Das Einchecken ging sehr schnell und unkompliziert vonstatten trotz der Größe unserer Gruppe, die Betten waren äußerst bequem und die Zimmer sehr geräumig und sauber. Das Hostel befindet sich zum Glück in einem Wohnviertel, somit war es deshalb vergleichsweise ruhig. In den Badezimmern (jedes Zimmer hatte eines) waren große Spiegel montiert und neben Shampoo/Duschgel gab es sogar Kosmetiktücher, was ich normalerweise nur von Hotels kenne aber nicht von einem Hostel. Zum Frühstücksbuffet kann ich sagen, dass es mehr als ausreichend und auch die Qualität sehr in Ordnung war (laut den Angaben vor Ort sind Honig und Käse sogar aus heimischer Produktion). Wir hatten schon bei der Reservierung auch für das Abendessen Menüs bestellt und auch diese waren außerordentlich gut (3-gängig, ein Teil auch für Vegetarier). Die Rezeptionisten haben bei Fragen (inbesondere unserer Schüler) stets geduldig Auskunft gegeben, egal ob sie im Moment gerade viel zu tun hatten oder nicht. Das Hostel befindet sich im etwas südlicher gelegenen Teil von Wien, aber durch die nahe U-Bahn konnte man sehr schnell zum Stadtzentrum (Stephansdom) gelangen. Alles in allem war es ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hervorragend und kann ich das Hostel nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Die Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe vom Hauptbahnhof ist sehr vorteilhaft für problemlose An-und Abreise beispielsweise mit der Bahn vom Airport aus für kleines Geld.Taxi wird nicht benötigt.Man kann alle Ziele in Wien sehr gut mit u-Bahn oder Strassenbahn erreichen die in sehr kurzer Entfernung des Hotels verfügbar sind.Das Frühstück ist gut.Absolut ausreichend.Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Gartenblick gebucht was wir im nachhinein nicht noch mal machen würden.Von unserem Zimmer gab es einen Blick auf ein Vordach und auf umliegende Wohnhäuser.Zimmer lag in der ersten Etage.Ruhig war es aber.Die Betten sind tatsächlich sehr gut wie ich selbst vorher auch in Bewertungen gelesen habe.Kann ich bestätigen.Ansonsten fand ich die übrige Einrichtung etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.Der Zimmersafe beispielsweise ist unter der Nachtkonsole angebracht.Sollte man ihn nutzen wollen muss man sich auf den Boden knien.Fand ich persönlich nicht so toll.Es gibt auch keinen Kühlschrank oder Minibar,Auch keinen Wassekocher um mal einen Kaffee oder Tee zwischendurch zu bereiten.Eigentlich erwarte ich das wenn ein Hotel auf vielen Hotelwebsites mit 4 Sternen eingestuft ist.Fazit:Ich war mit dem Aufenthalt zufrieden,würde aber im Falle eines nächsten males was anderes probieren-

Location is perfect, 3min. walk from vienna central station (with super market (open until 23:00 inside) and large shopping street.j Room was clean and the kitchen have basic items enough to do cooking (no condiments). It would be helpful if there is champú and conditioner. It cost 4euros to use laundry machine.

Nice hotel with amazing views of Vienna. If you get lucky or ask for a higher floor room. I stayed on the 18th floor and view was fantastic. Well appointed room, very clean and cozy. Staff at the Front Desk very helpful and friendly. Were 2 girls, Francesca and another lovely young lady but I cant recall her name. Not far from Meidling train station and in proximity of enough public transportation. Thanks for your hospitality!
