Terra Rosa Country House & Vineyards

gorgeous place, in an authentic quinta, with a very tasteful renovation to accommodate 7 rooms. We just enjoyed the very place, its amenities, and the swimming pool with heated water. We had a very nice room (3) with extra space to seat etc. We were delighted by the nice breakfast.

We were looking for a place to stay for 3 nights near Ponte de Lima and stayed for 5 nights as we really enjoyed our stay. Travelling as a family we were able to book coneected rooms, while an outdoor heated swimming pool made a difference for the children. Rooms and decoration are very attractive, while breakfest is great. The place itself is beautiful, with the finca houses overlooking vineyards. It is easy to go for a walk or cycle ride, with bicicles provided at the finca. Ponte de Lima is also easily reacheble using mostly a motorway, while the location is quite central for exploring the Minho. Best of all were the people, as staff was really helpful and we grew quite found of the owner, Francisco, who was very friendly and looks after the property with perfectionist detail. We will be very happy if we manage to return for another stay.

I loved my stay at Terra Rosa and only wish I could have stayed longer. The grounds are beautiful and I loved the pool. The rooms are well designed and appointed. Breakfast had plenty to offer (eggs, cheese, ham, pastries, yogurt, cereal, etc) and lunch was available on site as well. A special thanks to Maria, who helped me get to Terra Rosa when my rental car fell through. She helped me get a taxi to the b&b and arranged taxis into Ponte de Lima for dinner each night.

We can highly recommend this accommodation. The beauty was endless, whether it was the surroundings, the suite we had and all the buildings on the property. The attention to detail was extremely high in the design and style and also the staff. They were very friendly and helpful and they served a beautiful fresh breakfast. The pool was the perfect temperature and simply stunning and clean. Oh and the wine was superb!

We spent 4 nights in Terra Rosa. The vineyard, the grounds, pool, bedroom and dining area (inside and out) were peaceful and beautiful. This was a great base for exploration with most of the town attractions and Atlantic coast within a 40minute drive on pretty decent and quiet roads. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Fresh oranges from the trees around the gardens! Staff are welcoming, kind and attentive and gave great recommendations for restaurants with bookings made if needed. Francisco and Eliana are rightly proud of their retreat and very interesting to chat too to understand the history and next plans. We would definitely return here and absolutely recommend a stay.

This was our second visit to Tera Rosa and it won’t be our last. Everything was perfect. Only 7 rooms in the most beautiful setting. Breakfast was divine, delicious fresh fruits, cereals, yogurts, meats and cheeses - even freshly cooked eggs. The rooms are rustic in style, the bed linen was top quality. We love the way in which the traditional old buildings have been utilised. The heated swimming pool was perfect for a whimp like me! Thank you to the team who looked after us.

Local encantador com uma energia incrível. Fui em trabalho mas amei e recomendo vivamente ! Para amantes da natureza e de vinho sem dúvida um local imperdível. Não poderia deixar de mencionar que fiquei maravilhado com uma das senhoras que trabalha na quinta que fez de uma visita uma experiência inesquecível. Wat is dit een fantastisch, prachtige plek! Rust, sereniteit, warmte, sfeer en eenvoud, dat laatste in de meest positieve zin van het woord en dat op 1 plek in een waanzinnig mooie sfeer, waarin werkelijk alles wordt meegenomen. Van vers geplukte bloemen op de tafels, welke zelfs ook in de badkamers staan, tot aan de kleine olijftakjes op de kussens op bed, en op de perfect gedekte tafels. Het ontbijt, de lunch en ook het diner, alles in eenvoud maar zooo heerlijk! De tafels worden voor elke maaltijd tot in perfectie gedekt, met mooie tafel linnen en prachtig servies. Elke dag vers gemaakte taart, en de meest heerlijke pure gerechten. Over het interieur nog niet gesproken: Wauww. Tot in perfectie! Zelfs de kleding van de liefdevolle meiden van het Terra Rosa team, welke je altijd met een glimlach helpen, passen in het plaatje. Alles loopt in elkaar over en past perfect in de prachtige omgeving. Het is fijn en rustig, heel kleinschalig en dat maakt het nog bijzonderder, een onontdekte parel. Eliana, de eigenaresse, is samen met haar vader enorm gastvrij, warm en attent! En willen je het naar je zin maken samen met het team. Dankjewel allemaal, wij hebben enorm genoten en jaaa wij komen volgend jaar zeker terug!

Passamos apenas um fds (1 noite) em Novembro, mas tivemos sempre o sol como nosso cúmplice, pelo que conseguimos aproveitar o espaço envolvente da casa e apreciarmos a natureza no seu esplendor. Perdido nas vinhas há um baloiço, dois aliás! Com o dia brilhante e muito quente, foi maravilhoso balancear ao ritmo do chilrear dos pássaros. A familiaridade do espaço foi posta a descoberto logo à recepção, fomos recebidos com fatia de bolo e cookies caseiros, um chá quente e um copo de vinho branco. A decoração é muito sedutora, feita de pormenores de elementos naturais, madeiras maçiças, linhos, cores neutras e bem combinadas. O quarto era muito confortável, com o aquecimento escondido mas a funcionar em pleno, um grande janelão que dava o jardim, uma casa de banho cozy, um roupeiro lindíssimo que dava vontade de ter em casa. O pequeno almoço foi irrepreensível, com óptimas frutas e boa variedade de pães/bolos/panquecas e tudo o que é preciso para o acompanhar. Não jantamos nem almoçamos, mas como fica muito perto de Ponte de Lima, resolvemos pedir sugestão à simpática e atenciosa Cristina, que nos indicou ir ao Pimm's para jantar e a escolha foi na mouche! Local simpático com atendimento igualmente atencioso, profissional e comida maravilhosa! Ficamos com vontade de voltar no verão com os filhotes. A piscina não é grande (parece mais um tanque de grandes dimensões) mas as áreas que envolvem a piscina são tão giras que os miúdos de certeza que se iam divertir em grande. A voltar!
