I really don't want you to think I'm a moaner so will try to stay constructive. Hotel looks stunning on arrival, check in fine....quickly realised we got the room we paid for, which is fine but if you are an influencer upgrades are reserved for you. Everyone else take note! We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and I tried to pay for an upgrade prior to travel but never heard anything. I 1000% recommend upgrading to anything above the tropical room, garden view as you go down one level from reception..the hall leading to your room is as dark and miserable as the room itself. There is a form for you to let them know what needs fixing in the room....I'm sorry for 5 star hotel and how much we paid to stay in the basement pretty sure they should check everything, i shouldn't need to tell them. The little mirror in bathroom was broke, light in wardrobe hardly ever worked and made a noise when it didn't but I didn't want to be inconvenienced by someone needing to go in. Found the room depressing when it was raining too. Now the Good stuff, indoor pool was good as long as you booked your hour slot and not allowed a minute over, food at breakfast was good....shame they couldn't have families one side of room...ended up surrounded by toddlers that just kept screaming. 👎 we ate out every night stayed on BB....I fully recommend this as there are so many amazing restaurants around the marina with great customer service and change of scenery. I note those that pay for more expensive rooms or the residencys or are influencers are treated amazingly. Maybe we should have complained more. Few mornings I had to get my own coffee as they make the staff do it but they are not attentive enough and were pretty mad when I got my own. Again maybe I'm too easy going. I've stayed in some amazing 5 star hotels in Croatia, Singapore and Bali and this was not my idea of 5 stars. Sorry! The staff are lovely, friendly, and cleanliness standards are really good. The cleaning operatives always go above and beyond. Shout out to those hard workers that keep the hotel running smoothly and your room spotless. One niggle, I had accidentally dropped my dressing gown in the bath so was taken with the towels. When I reported it to reception, they made me feel like a thief as they wanted to check with laundry...I just needed a new gown not my old one. The house keeping lady got it for me in seconds bless her so I tipped her there and then. Breakfast does not cater for Pescatarian or vegetarian as the hot food didn't include vegetarian sausages etc.
