Hotel berhampiran Auditori Josep Carreras, Vilaseca De Solcina

Just got home from a lovely 5 night stay at the hotel. We couldn’t be more pleased with the stay with everything from the rooms (beds were amazing!!!) the bathroom and the views. Some drinks provided in the fridge if all inclusive. The food was great, good selection for everyone and so much to choose from! The drinks were good, if you asked you got branded and for a sub charge of €1 you could have redbull, bottles of beer etc. Bar snacks available, ham and cheese toasties, chips, hot dogs and burgers. The all inclusive options were great, included ice creams like cornettos and ice lollies too, bottles of water were free too!!! The hotel in itself is very lovely, it’s so clean and it’s beautifully done. The hotel is situated away from Salou town but actually we didn’t mind that!! It was nice and quiet, with cap de salou turning right at the top of the road and following it round for some bars and restaurants where we ate. We also walked into Salou town centre along the coast (a few steps on the way) which had nice views!! The pool area was decent sized, never a fight for a sunbed. The only downside is the sun not hitting the pool till midday? And the pool was absolutely freezing!! Maybe due to being the end of September but it was still nice to look at. Lastly let me just speak about the staff, every single member of staff works hard day in day out, with smiles on their faces and very welcoming and ALWAYS happy to help. Thank you to the reception staff, the bar staff, the restaurant staff, the cleaners and all other staff for making our stay memorable! We will be back!!!!

I arrived at the hotel at 11.20am and wasn’t actually expecting my room to be ready that early, but to my surprise it was. The female receptionist was so kind and friendly. I explained that I was severely sight impaired and she took the time to show me where everything was. She also arranged for another staff member to help me find my room. The room was lovely. Very comfy bed, soft pillows and bathrobes and slippers. The bathroom was huge with two different shower heads and a large Jacuzzi bath. The balcony was also huge with sun beds and lounge chairs. The restaurant and staff were also very friendly and helpful, and there was lots of choice with main. Courses cooked fresh in front of you. There were two outdoor lagoon style pools, with Various water jets, in pool jacuzzi beds, two slides and a separate jacuzzi. The indoor pool was amazing and very unique in its design. There were various different types of jacuzzis, water jets, jacuzzi beds, experience showers, sauna and a steam room. It was brilliant. I also the Spa and had the ‘Queen of Egypt Ritual’ which was truly amazing. I’ve been to many spa’s, but this was a whole new level of fabulous. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely be returning.

Where do I start….We visited El Paso around 9 years ago prior to having children with my family and we all had an excellent holiday! So I didn’t have any apprehensions about booking early this year to take my 2 children (3 & 1) . As it got closer to the time I saw some reviews and started to panic as we hadn’t had a bad word to say about the hotel but wondered had it gone down hill?? Needless to say we went with an open mind and there was no need for any worry at all!! One of the only reasons I haven’t given 5 stars was the check in. We arrived at 11am and check in took my husband around an hour (I think this was more other people maybe faffing around a bit as when he actually got to the counter he was there 5 minutes and it was done) but it took us 3 separate occasions of going up to ask if the room was ready at 3pm before we could actually get in. There are lockers you can put you’re luggage in for €10 but there was no way ours would of fit in 1 so we didn’t fancy spending €20 !! So we hung around the reception for 4 hours (a beautiful reception) but with 2 children we found we were having to juggle one person staying with the luggage and the other entertaining the children. Check in aside the rest of the holiday was all we could of asked for! Room : We had requested a quiet room and we had been put the other side of the pool away from all the bars which was perfect…the room was beautiful. Bunk beds for our 3year old which he loved (although the top bunk is not safe for a younger child as the side very easily comes off!) but this didn’t effect us as we had a cot for our 1 year old. The room has everything you would need for a holiday..storage, bathroom, comfy bed and a balcony. The only downside was there were a few schools visiting when we were there and they had placed them in the same block as us so it definatley wasn’t a quiet room ! You could hear the teachers trying to keep them quiet at 11pm at night but it’s not great when you have young children trying to sleep…maybe the hotel should have a separate block if they know they are going to have a lot of school children in??? Pool : the pool is a absolutley huge and very clean. The water is a perfect crystal blue! The pirate shop was a firm favourite for our little boy. Although they are a little strict with allowing sunglasses in the pool (you need them as it’s so bright haha!) the lifeguards make you feel very safe. There is a vast area of sand around the pool which is perfect for the children to play in….(actually made ours happy enough that he thought he’d been to the beach so we didn’t have to venture to Salou!) Food : I saw a lot of reviews with people complaining about the food. We didn’t have a problem at all. Yes it can be samey, but considering they have such a large demographic to cater for I think they do very well with what they do have! You can always find something to eat. El proceso de check-in fue rápido y fácil. El personal tanto del bar como de la recepción fueron super amables y simpaticos además de profesionales. Siempre atentos para ayudarte y en mi caso me ayudaron con una información extra que necesitaba. Hay parking al aire libre y al lado del hotel hay un restaurante dónde se come de maravilla. Si quieres otras opciones de comida a unos 5min conduciendo tienes más opciones. Tema desayuno continental tiene muchas opciones para elegir tipo tostadas con mantequilla, mermelada, cereales, fruta, yogurt, embutidos, croissants ya sean grandes o pequeños.....También te incluye el café que te lo hacen ellos (que alegria que el café no es como otros hoteles que es tipo café americano) asi que me pedí mi cortado. La limpieza de las habitaciones y areas comunes me pareció buena y tema habitaciones me sorprendieron. La habitación es espaciosa, tienes un montón de opciones para poner tus cosas ya sea armarios, estanterías, etc. Tienes una nevera. La verdad que quedé super contento con la habitación y su distribución. Recomiendo el hotel.

The hotel is very central to everything in Tarragona and is clean and of good quality. What really made the stay special was how helpful the employees we met were throughout this. As an example, we had a difficulty connecting to Wifi which the staff resolved quickly for us. The reception staff had great local information and were helpful throughout. I'd recommend staying here

On Oct 22th, 2023 we were supposed to check in at the Best Da Vinci hotel. Having a free cancellation till 20.10, we wrote to the e-mail in advance about geting a room on the top floor. However, there was no response. At the time of check-in we were offered a room on the 3rd floor out of 6, we asked for a higher floor. We were told that they would try to help us, then we would have to wait. When we came to the reception after 1.5 hours, another employee said that there were no rooms on the 6th floor, come back on Tuesday (24.10). After about 20 minutes we decided to come to the reception, by that time the first employee already came back. They said that since the hotel closes its season on 28.10, rooms on the upper floors won't be available (although people continued to live on the upper floors till closing date 28.10), also they said that our room category was a standard room, not a studio and here are no standard rooms above the 3rd floor. We could pay extra for the room on higher floor, but it was suggested by SENIOR RECEPTIONIST in a rude manner to take the room on the 3rd floor and be satisfied with that. Disappointed we left, but the next day we decided to try our luck again because we saw people on the upper floors getting checked in. On 23.10 having approached to another employee, she answered that the change of rooms is carried out from 12 to 15 and left to specify something. Having returned back with a SENIOR employee, who was dissatisfied that we came again loudly saying ”AGAIN???”, she repeated that the number above the 3rd floor won't be given and if you DO NOT like something, PACK YOUR BAGS AND LEAVE FOR EXAMPLE TO THE NEIGHBOURING MAGNOLIA HOTEL. At the same time we were ready to pay extra just to get a room on the top floor, but nothing was not offered to us, but simply sent us away. For the first time in all our travels we were shocked by the rudeness of front desk employees, absolutely not interested (especially the SENIOR receptionist). Money doesn't matter, you can't pay and take what you want, you need to live in the room dedicated to you. In addition, we got the impressed that they do not speak English well and are more kind to Spanish-speakers. About the room itself, it's nice. But if you got a room in the main building, then be prepared that in rooms where the beds are near the window overlooking the yard, will be very noisy in the morning, because you can hear the slamming doors from ALL sides and from ALL floors. Pros: nice studios, good housekeeping, good food. Cons: rudeness and unprofessionalism of the SENIOR receptionist, noise in rooms because of poor noise insulation, no towels for the beach available.

Not the worst place I've been but far from the best. Just back from our first holiday with our almost 2 year old. Personally I won't be recommending this hotel to any family or friends and definitely wont be returning! We were half board so breakfast and dinner included, no drinks. Breakfast was ok..ish! The food was edible mostly and there was a decent selection as you would normally expect at an all inclusive buffet. Poor guy cooking was on his own so it mean quite a wait sometimes for an omelette, fried egg or pancakes. The restaurant is tiny so when it's busy it is BUSY. The actual area where the food is gets absolutely jam packed and its not pleasant! The food at dinner was questionable! I am not snobby, I don't enjoy fine dining and I wasn't expecting 5* food but I was a bit shocked! Lots of suspiciously undercooked meat, the same few meals on repeat over and over again and even the chips tasted reheated most of the time. Staff spent most of their time chatting to each other so you were often surrounded by tables stacked high with dirty plates. Drinks were low priced but you could definitely tell because the wine was also disgusting. We were really glad we didn't get all inclusive as we would feel like we had to eat there to make the most of it. Can't imagine suffering all 3 meals a day there! The room was great, clean and modern! The cleaning maids were all friendly and always joked with and said hi to our toddler when we saw them! At first glance looked brand new but once you've stayed a week you notice most of the walls have big marks on and the edges looked rough and chipped. On our last night a maintenance man came up with a tube of mastic and asked if he could seal the shower because it was leaking. We did end up declining as we had a toddler in the room and didn't want it to smell, thankfully we were leaving first thing so we'd just had our last showers and didn't need to use it again. The balcony was small and the blue lit up glass was really annoying and unnecessary. Doors were fairly soundproof though and the air con was decent! Location for us was brilliant, quick taxi ride from the air port, 3 minute walk to a stunning beach and lots of shops around which is exactly what we wanted. Easy to find the bus to Salou main town and back, overall can't complain! For our toddlers first holiday it was a success- short flight, decent enough hotel room and stunning beach! We won't be coming back here though. First time we've booked separately rather than going for a TUI hotel or with first choice and probably wont be doing it again as we prefer previously holidays.

We found the hotel to be very suitable for us as it was lovely quiet, very relaxing with lots of mature palm trees and great swimming pools. All the noisy attractions very nearby so there is something for everyone. Food was good too just the waiting time to come in to the restaurant and the fact that you had to finish eating within less than an hour was annoying. But even though we would come back. We would love if the other restaurant which was not included in the half board meal option started opening from lunch time so customers could buy nice lunch inside the resort instead of looking somewhere else most of the days. There is food at the pool bar but not much choice.

En general, todo correcto. La habitación enorme y las camas comodísimas. Sin embargo, nos alojamos en una habitación superior Callaghan's, pero sin detalles como las habitaciones superiores del Colorado Creek (sin botella de agua, por ejemplo). Se nota que ha bajado mucho la calidad de la comida de la cena y del desayuno del hotel respecto a otras veces que hemos estado alojados en el Gold River.
