We stayed here over the Paris Roubaix weekend, had an excellent stay. Great breakfast, parking close by, Easily Cycleable to the Roubaix velodrome in the morning. The manager was extremely helpful, and good English which was useful as my French is terrible. The room was comfortable, could probably do with a couple more pillows, and it was a touch warm, no matter what we pressed to cool it down, but the window was easily opened to let a breeze in.

We’re next door to Gare de Lille Europe, for quick access to Eurostar trains. The Westfield Shopping center is a few minutes’ walk from us and Lille’s Old Town can be reached on foot within 15 minutes. Palais des Beaux Arts is two kilometers away. We have a 24-hour fitness center and a restaurant offering seasonal dishes made with local produce.

The hotel is excellently located opposite the main train station where the Eurostar arrived. The area was very quiet and also within walking distance to pretty much everything we needed to see so we walked everywhere and never needed public transport. The lobby of the hotel is cosy and very welcoming and the people at reception were friendly and very accommodating. The room was nice and the beds very comfortable. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that but we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Really quaint and quirky hostel in Lille's downtown core. Very nice staff and great for socializing, especially in their open patios! Rooms are tidy and clean including bathrooms. Breakfast is served with a wide range of options (definitely try the cheese) and a large choice of beers. Only downside was no lockers, but hopefully that's a feature in the near future!

Restaurant magnifique avec vue incroyable sur la ville au dernier étage de l’hôtel. Nous avons mangés sur le roof top c’était super sympa! Le service est parfait et accueillant. Améliorations nette sur le service avec la nouvelle équipe. Les plats sont bons et bien servis et les cocktails sont excellents. Rien à dire à part à bientôt !

The Mercure Lille Airport gives a solid impression when you enter, it looks renovated. The room we got was big with an ample bathroom. It was all very clean, no complaints whatsoever. But when we went to the restaurant to have dinner we were getting a totally diffrent opinion. The menucard was very short ( that is normally no problem) but we were surprised when we served the starter ( on the menu is was stated as ”duo pate”). We got on the plate 2 tiny tins (just from the supermarket) the only thing they did was opening the tins!!!! Very bizar and far away from the famous ” french cuisine”. Main course was mesh patatoes with fish, really nothing worth remembering. Having seen the quality they presented we skipped the dessert. Furthermore a ladysinger and a guitarman were making music so loud, that is was impossible to have normal conversation with each other. After discussing this with the waiter we could move to a table in the ” ouskirts of the diningroom” and even then it was too loud. Mind you the public consisted of 5 to 6 people, so why the lady set up such an alarming voice was very questionable. All in all conclusion : hotel/room 8 out of 10 , restaurant 4 out of 10. Breakfast in the morning was luckely very OK! completely different compared with the dining experience.

Commençons par les points à améliorer: Nous n’avions pas de prise de courant dans la salle de bain, tout de même étonnant pour un hôtel récent et les nécessités actuelles… Pas de fenêtres donc difficile d’aérer ! Chauffage verrouillé à 24*! Le Quartier peut-être un avantage en terme de mobilité mais pas très bien fréquenté, dont nous venons au point du Parking, l’hôtel n’en possède pas un, il y a des places extérieures, mais le nombres de vitres brisées vous passera l’envie de tenter l’expérience. Ce fut confirmé lors de la prise de chambre, nous avons donc opté pour le stationnement sous-terrain recommandé par le personnel (tout de même 8€ par tranche de 12h…). La douche est spacieuse et facile d’accès, malheureusement bouchée et fuite sur le flexible, ce fut signalé le matin et aucun changement ni chambre faite le jour suivant. Après remarque, l’hôtel a fait un geste commercial et nous les remercions. Les +: Récent dont en bon état Équipement qualitatif (literie, TV, mobilier). Petit-déjeuner très bien, finit les simples œuf bacon tout secs, désormais belle salade de fruit, produits de france privilégiés, viennoiseries bonnes…! Accueil sympathique par mesdames. Le hall spacieux est équipé de baby foot, fauteuils. Ayant séjourné dans des centaines d’hôtels, beaucoup de B&B, il y a des changements appréciables avec toujours un coût intéressant.

PPengguna TetamuAppart Hôtel très calme la nuit, car situé dans une zone d'activité de bureaux. Et c'est de bonne augure que d'avoir du silence quand on doit ouvrir la fenêtre pour faire aérer la chambre/studio avec kitchenette en raison de la chaleur et pas de clim. Intérieur moderne et original, spacieux et lumineux de cet hôtel, qui fait pousser des vrais arbres oliviers dans son hall d'accueil / salon de détente ! Couloirs colorés et devantures de portes de chambre de studios non conventionnelles qui donneront envie à certains d'être installés dans ces logements 😜. Pas de restau dans l'hôtel mais 2 très bons à 10 min de marche : Rosso&Bianco, et Les P'tites Côtes. Petit déjeuner très correct et crêpes faites maison. Prochain déplacement à VdA, je veux cet hôtel.

PPengguna TetamuStayed here as part of tour to watch the rugby at the nearby stadium. Fantastic location, just a 15-20 minute walk to stadium and 5-10 walk to local shopping centre with all the big stores including an Auchan, and also where the Metro station is located. Like elsewhere in France most places closed on a Sunday so the area is very quiet but only a 10 minute ride on the Metro and you are in the centre of Lille, with plenty of squares with great bars and cafes. The staff at the Ibis were lovely, friendly and very helpful, but had great sympathy for them on the Saturday evening as the bar was very crowded as people returned from the rugby match, wanting drinks and pizzas, I’m sure they would have appreciated more staff. We had a great pizza and watched the evening matches which were shown on the TV and large screen. I thought, from reading reviews, that breakfast may be disappointing but no, a lovely surprise, not busy and plenty of choice, choice of teas, fruit juices and coffee , pastries , some fruit and a small cold meat selection, and a small hot choice of bacon, sausages and scrambled egg, the egg was not very warm but just a very small complaint, thoroughly enjoyed everything! I would not hesitate to recommend this Ibis hotel, and a big thank you to the staff.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed for 1 night at a cost of £480 to watch the recent England vs Chille Rugby World Cup game. The hotel is a great location for the stadium hence why I think they are able to command such a high price. Although this hotel is rated a 4 star and we had a superior room the cleanliness of the room especially the bathroom was not good. There were stains on the carpet and the bathroom shower didn’t look like it had been cleaned in months. The corridor of the 4th floor which our room was on had sick stains by doors on the carpets. They ran out of orange juice in the morning and the communal area is not particularly welcoming. I made a complaint at the hotel and have e mailed since. I requested a 10% good will gesture, but so far this has not been given. The management have acknowledged responsibility and the short fall of the teams ability to undertake basic requirements via e Mail, however recent correspondence has been very poor. My advice to any traveller is to think twice before booking at this hotel especially when the olympics will be using the grand stadium next yr. It’s disappointing for a large hotel chain that supposedly prides itself on making the experience memorable (there words not mine) to not take action and care about the poor experience a guest incurs especially when poor health and safety practice has been acknowledged. I include photos of room particularly the bathroom and hope this gives future guests the option to look further afield before making this hotel their choice.

LLindum20CWe used this hotel (incidentally NOT the building in the adjacent photograph) due to its proximity to the Lille Stade. A very good location, therefore. Check-in and out was perfect, the rooms were small but best of all was the bar stayed open all day and night before and after the game. The price of the rooms were five times the normal due to the RWC. Market forces.
